Chapter 2060: Consequences (4)
Chapter 2060: Consequences (4)
Tang Shaoyang was ready with his Bloodline Transformation, staring at the golden-eyed man on the chair. He identified that persona as the leader of the Shadow Star, maybe. An organization or faction like Shadow Star usually had more than one leader. It didn’t matter how many leaders they had; he would attack this main branch and lure the remaining to return.
He was not joking about using the Shadow Star and the Daenelis Clan as an example. They had crossed the line by targeting his family, and they should be ready for his wrath.
The golden-eyed man smiled despite losing one of his trusted subordinates, “Welcome to the Shadow Star, Executive Administrator Tang Shaoyang. My name is Geralt, the leader of the Shadow Stars. This is truly my lucky day that I have finally met the rising star.”
“I know we start things on the wrong foot, but we can rebuild our relationship from zero. Let bygones be bygones, and let’s have a fresh start, shall we?”
Geralt didn’t know how Tang Shaoyang could sneak into his world without anyone noticing. Killing Tang Shaoyang on the Shadow Star’s ground was problematic for them. It was a lose-lose situation.
If he killed an Executive Administrator in their home, the Shadow Star would draw the ire of the Administrator. Even the other Executive Administrators who didn’t like Tang Shaoyang would not accept the situation and might do something to the Shadow Star.
It was different if they killed Tang Shaoyang under a contract, a request. That was a fair game; it was their field, after all. No one would blame them for that, and the Executive Administrators would not be able to do anything about it. The public would blame Tang Shaoyang for being too weak to be assassinated.
Geralt wanted to resolve the issue peacefully for that reason. There was no benefit from the Shadow Stars. Not only would he use his headquarters as the battlefield, but the God Order and the Nirvana Alliance would not pay either if the Shadow Star killed Tang Shaoyang here. They would make an excuse that they were defending themselves against Tang Shaoyang; this was not an assassination, per their request.
Tang Shaoyang let out a chuckle, “I guess it makes sense that you are their leader. Both superior and subordinates have no shame.”
Azure Dragon Blade appeared in Tang Shaoyang’s hand. He didn’t want to waste his breath on these people anymore.
Heavenly Sword – Heavenly Revoke
Tang Shaoyang’s figure blurred, and in that instant, appeared across Geralt. The sword was just ten centimeters away from Geralt’s neck.
Alec and Robbie reacted in time, blocking his sword with their swords, stopping the Azure Dragon Blade at three centimeters. It was that close to cutting Geralt’s neck, but the golden-eyed man remained calm in that situation. It was as if his life was never in danger. But he lost his smile and friendliness, realizing that he could no longer reverse the situation.
“I guess it makes sense for a rising star like you to be arrogant, so arrogant that it turns you blind, turning you into a fool. You are fighting in the Shadow Star’s main ground, my home. Do you think you can leave this place alive?” Geralt truly didn’t expect the new Executive Administrator to be a madman like this.
“Do you think people will be afraid of you just because you have become an Executive Administrator? I will show you hell, newbie!” Geralt’s voice turned cold, “I will not kill you here, but I will cripple you. I will let you watch how the Shadow Star ravages your home, your family! You will witness the fall of your empire!”
Tang Shaoyang was simply taking a few steps back and glanced at Zara, “How is it? Have you disabled their teleportation?”
Zara raised her thumb at Tang Shaoyang in response. He expected they would block his sword, but his real goal was to disable teleportation for this world. Avyn had been doing it for a while, and it took some time for her to disable teleportation for the whole world.
“But we only have maybe around twelve hours, fourteen hours at most.”
“That might not be enough, but that would do. We should be able to get rid of the majority of them before the reinforcements arrive. Let’s do it, boys!”
As he said that, Tang Shaoyang summoned all his spirits. The first two spirits he summoned were Doombringer the Behemoth, and Aerelion the Infernal Wyvern King. The two massive spirits destroyed the building, opening more spaces for spirits.
He released all of his Calamity Spirits first, letting them go wild to open a path for the remaining spirits, “As usual, boys. Kill those who fight back, and spare those who surrender. We will let the world know the consequences of making me their enemy.”
The Calamity Spirit roared in excitement, letting out its war cry. They were in the middle of the city, and chaos broke out as the attack came out of nowhere.
It didn’t stop there as Tang Shaoyang summoned his Skelly Family along with twenty thousand Skeleton Army. They all spread out, bringing chaos on their way.
Karan, Avyn, and Zara were the only three spirits that stayed with Tang Shaoyang. Vandir, who usually stayed with his Master, left with the group. The Lich knew how angry his Master was right now, and he must deliver the best destruction to those who dared to mess with his Master.
“YOU!” Geralt’s face reddened in anger as he also used his Bloodline Transformation and Elemental Body. His main Elemental Power was lightning. At the same time, a spear appeared in his hand.
“Let me fight him, Boss.”
Karan threw axes that were made of dark-red energy. The two axes spun in the air, flying toward Geralt. Robbie and Alec stepped up, each taking one axe. They tried to block instead of deflecting the axe. They were confident in their strength, which led to a fatal mistake.
The moment their swords met with the flying axe, their bodies were sent flying back, breaking the wall behind them. That shocked Geralt how the red-skinned Orc easily overpowered his trusted subordinates.
“This is not a game, Karan. This is a real battle. He is not yours, but ours!”
A hundred Chaos Swords formed around Geralt, surrounding the man made of lightning. Those hundred swords shot toward Geralt, and the man zipped out from sword encirclement. The hundred swords hit the empty ground.
Geralt didn’t know what kind of energy Tang Shaoyang used to make the swords, but he sensed something ominous from those swords. He was not going to take his chance to block them.
His golden eyes locked on Tang Shaoyang, but then he realized that the gorgeous woman in the sky-blue dress was no longer around Tang Shaoyang. Before he could find where the woman was, his feet were assaulted with cold stings that quickly spread to his thigh.
When he looked down, he realized that his lower half was frozen. At the same time, the same deep-red swords formed around him. Not just the swords, but the red-skinned orc was above him with his axes as well, grinning ear to ear, not afraid that those swords would hit him by rushing in.
That was when he realized that it was not just his flesh lower half that was frozen, but his energy inside also frozen. He had never heard of such a thing before, an Ice Elemental Power that could freeze energy. This was his first time encountering it.
Geralt tried to use teleportation, trying to get away from the situation. That was when he realized that they were truly capable of disabling teleportation in his world.
Left with no choice, Geralt used his lower half. As his upper half fell to the side, his body turned lightning, trying to get away from the encirclement. It was suicidal to fight these three altogether. That was when he noticed a deep-red sword predicting his movement and coming from above him.
He was in his Elemental Body; the sword should not be able to hurt him. That sword would go through. That was what he thought as he didn’t try to dodge it. It was more like he could not dodge it, but he was confident in his Elemental Body that the sword would not hurt him when he was in this form.
That was when he felt an acute pain in his left chest. He was pinned down by the sword to the floor. What surprised him was that his Elemental Body and the Bloodline Transformation were canceled when the sword pierced him. That was when he realized that his energy flow inside his body was disturbed.
He could not utilize the energy inside his body, and the reason he survived, even though he lost his lower half, was because of his high stats.
“You! What are you doing to me!?” Geralt was confused because this was weird. This was the first time he encountered such a situation.
Tang Shaoyang just shrugged as he approached Geralt on the floor. However, his attention was not on Geralt. He was looking up. The ceiling was gone after his spirits destroyed it, and he saw around 37 figures floating in the air above the building, looking down at him. They passed his spirits and got here immediately.
“You don’t need to worry about your portion, Karan. You will get your opponent, and it looks like they are not weak either.”
His spirits were not able to stop them from getting here, meaning they were quite strong to be able to do that. Or maybe they did have some kind of invisible skill. Regardless, the battle just started.
