Chapter 2005: Crazed Clementine
Chapter 2005: Crazed Clementine
Clementine licked her upper lip out of habit before biting her own thumb. The red luminous blood poured out of her thumb. The blood looked alive as it moved and started to take a shape. Ten seconds later, the blood took the form of a massive scythe. The scythe was about three times her size, glistening in red blood.
“It’s the bitch Clementine! She is the real powerhouse, and we need to kill her with everything we have!” A figure emerged from the ground where the old man crashed.
The old man was fine aside from losing his right hand. However, that right hand was immediately regenerated after he chugged a potion. He drew a new sword while reminding his friends.
The six people immediately drew their weapons. Three of them were using a sword, two of them were using a spear, and the last one was using a whip with terrifying thorns.
“That’s right. I am that bitch Clementine!” Clementine’s laughter rang in the air as she swung her scythe at the six people in the air.
That was right, she did not move, remaining on her spot while swinging the scythe. That single swing created a stronger gust, but that was more to it. Right after she swung it, the space was cut with a clean cut. The space was shifted slightly for a moment before returning to normal.
By then, two bodies fell from the air. The two bodies were cut in two from their belly parts. Their intestines and blood poured down as they fell to the ground. Those two were the cultivators with a spear. They died without knowing how they died. The remaining four managed to get away in time and survived.
The remaining four people were obviously shaken by what they saw. They knew there were three Executive Administrators in this place. That was the reason why they brought seven Immortal Emperor Realms for the mission. However, two of them were slain in one strike, which showcased Clementine’s prowess. She might be above the Immortal Emperor Realm.
The old man seemed to realize it as well, as his figure blurred, darting toward Tang Shaoyang. If Clementine were this strong, it would be a disaster if the second joined. Their information also warned about the man called Arion. This Arion might be slightly weaker than Clementine, but not by much. If the two worked together, they would lose their lives, and their plan to retrieve the Thousand Vows Pavilion would fail.
The best outcome now was to retrieve the Thousand Vows Pavilion’s successor and leave this place. They might not have the time to actually retrieve the codex from the successor with Clementine and Arion here.
However, before he could even reach Tang Shaoyang, Clementine appeared right in front of him with a mad grin on her face. She swung the scythe at him. The old man thought of blocking that scythe, but he recalled what happened to Zheng Kui and Deng Ping.
He used his mobility movement technique, Shadow Step. He glided like a shadow, moving to the back of Clementine. The Thousand Vows Pavilion was fifty meters away from him, looking at him with a calm gaze. Then his eyes glanced back at Clementine’s exposed back.
Yuan Hong thought this might be a chance for him to kill Clementine. He was at the peak of the Immortal Emperor Realm, the strongest to lead this operation. He was confident that he would be able to kill someone like Clementine in a strike. Even if he could not kill her, she would suffer heavy injury that would give him an opening to kill her or to retrieve the Thousand Vows Pavilion’s successor in case Arion came.
The dark internal shrouded his sword as he made a turn. An image of swords spread out on his back, creating a circle made of swords. It spun, absorbing the surrounding energy into the sword.
Yuan Hong thought he won until he saw Clementine turn her head to the side, grinning ear to ear while her red eyes gleamed in excitement. Then it was followed by the scythe that spun from his left side. In that instant, the scythe’s blade was closing in on his neck.
He made a quick calculation whether his sword would reach Clementine’s heart first or his neck would be cut first. But he quickly realized, whether his sword got to her heart first or not, that the scythe would get to his neck no matter what if he was forced to continue his strike.
Yuan Hong realized that this woman was crazier than the informant had told them. She took an attack just to attack him, which was no different than a suicide. The old man who had lived for thousands of years treasured his life more than anything else. He canceled his attack and used Shadow Steps to get away from the crazed woman.
The scythe hit empty air while Yuan Hong made an escape, flying a hundred meters higher than Clementine. His eyes remained on Clementine. At this moment, his four subordinates were on Clementine’s back with their own attacks.
Yuan Hong remained on his spot, watching everything unfold. If his four subordinates were reliable enough to wound and hold Clementine, he would continue their plan to retrieve the Thousand Vows Pavilion’s successor. But if they could not even hold a candle against Clementine, then they had better leave because they would not win this fight.
Then he witnessed how four pairs of spider-leg-like thorns appeared on Clementine’s back. Those thorns had many joints and were made of the same blood as the scythe. The whip was the first one to reach Clementine, wrapping around her neck. The man was about to pull the whip to tear Clementine’s neck off, but she grabbed the whip with her hand and held it.
Then the three swords arrived, piercing Clementine’s chest. Yet Clementine still had her grin as she pulled the whip user closer, then the thorns pierced the four Immortal Emperor Realm Cultivators. Two thorns for each of them. What followed was that blood burst out from Clementine’s back and covered all of them.
A sphere made of blood floated in the sky, blocking the view from outside. The blood moved in a circle while maintaining its shape, and it was eerily terrifying. The blobbed sound just made it even more terrifying.
There was only one thing on Yuan Hong’s mind when he saw this: leave this place immediately if he wanted to keep his life. No matter what happened inside that blood sphere, it was certainly not good for his subordinates.
The old man was about to take something out of his dimensional pocket until a hand touched his left shoulder. He snapped to the side and saw the Thousand Vows Pavilion’s successor. A new idea popped into his head, brought this stupid monster back with him, and he would accomplish his mission. That meant he would avoid punishment.
That remained in his thoughts because he realized that he could not exert any internal energy, let alone pull out the item to create the portal from his dimensional pocket. Then a chilling pain assaulted his Dantian and chest. It soon spread all over his body, and he soon realized that he was frozen.
The only reason that he did not fall despite losing his internal energy was the hand on his shoulder. The monster was smiling at him, and he took it as the monster was ridiculing him.
That angered him as he tried to take back his internal energy, but he felt nothing. As if he was losing his cultivation, but that was not possible when he could feel his Dantian’s presence. He could feel the Dantian; it was still there, but there was no energy circulation. All he could feel was extreme cold, the biting of coldness.
His eyes widened, his mouth opened wide as well, and his face was blank. He was angry, but he was also confused and shocked. He thought he could simply break through the ice, but he felt it was not just his body that froze. This monster froze everything, including his Dantian and also his internal energy. He tried to circulate his inner energy, but he could not.
“Come on, try to break free. I am curious if you can’t break the ice.” The deep voice from the monster caused the old man to snap out.
“WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY BODY!?”
“Shut up, your breath stinks.” Tang Shaoyang spread the ice to the old man’s mouth and nodded, “It’s better.”
Then Tang Shaoyang turned toward the blood sphere. It took longer than he thought, and then he looked for Arion. That guy did not show up in the battle.
“Don’t tell me he is watching all this time…” He muttered while looking for Arion.
“I am not watching, and I trust Clementine alone is enough. These people are fools to think they could kill Clementine with such measly strength.”
Arion appeared next to him, clasping his hand on his back while looking at the blood sphere. Then he glanced at the old man, “I am capturing those people outside the main base. I thought Clementine would spare no one for an interrogation. I am glad you caught one alive, and he seems to be the leader for this operation.”
“Also, good job freezing his mouth. Usually, a cultivator like him would keep a poison in their mouth in case they get captured.”
“Oh, I don’t know about that. I froze his mouth because his breath stinks,” Tang Shaoyang shrugged, but then he let out a disappointed sigh, “But aren’t they too weak? They could not even fight back against Clementine. All they did was escape and attack from behind. Maybe this God of Martial Class is not as strong as I thought.”

That was the result of Detection by the old man. This old man was the peak Immortal Emperor Realm, yet he could not hold a candle against Clementine. This old man tried to escape instead of fighting Clementine. The reason he had to step in and catch the old man.
He did not know what kind of technique this old man had. That was the reason why he froze him, and of course, freezing the old man was an experiment for him.
