Chapter 1982: Staff Meeting (2)

Chapter 1982: Staff Meeting (2)

Tang Shaoyang thought that all contracts were the same, in the way he made them, simple and clear. He was wrong, and Azhug was not easy to negotiate. The Ogre used everything in his arsenal to get a better contract for his staff. Even when the staff agreed with him, Azhug made it more complicated, asking for more specific details and more.

He thought their bonding experience with the invader would make it easier for them. Azhug knew how to separate his personal feelings when it came to official work.

Tang Shaoyang raised his hands after half an hour of discussion. He put away the contract, “Let’s sign the temporary contract first. I will have you talk with my people. Let’s get a temporary contract for now, and I will pay you by the day. Per month?”

“That will work too. Even though I want more benefits for my staff, I don’t want to take advantage of you. However, we need a time where we can talk with your legal team,” Azhug Oogurim agreed to finalize the contract another day.

“As for the pay…” The Ogre rubbed his chin, thinking. That was Azhug’s habit that Tang Shaoyang picked up in just half an hour. Azhug would rub his chin while thinking every time.

“As for the pay, it depends on how long until we can talk with your legal team. If it’s a few days, then you can pay us per hour or per day, something like that.”

“I don’t know, in a few months. I am in an abandoned world right now, and I can’t return until I finish my task. Maybe one month at the quickest, but it could take up to four months. It will not be more than four months.” Tang Shaoyang guaranteed that he would finish the job in less than four months.

Azhug was about to suggest something, but his staff, the Dryad, reached his hand. He looked at her, and the Dryad was shaking her head at him. Even though no words were said, they seemed to be communicating, or to be more exact, the Dryad knew Azhug well enough that she knew what he wanted to do and stopped him.

“Alright then, let’s make it simple. You can pay us per month, and the contract is valid until I meet with your legal team to discuss our long-term contract. If I meet with your legal team in one month and fourteen days, you just have to pay us one month’s pay, but if I meet your legal team in one month and sixteen days, then you have to pay us two months’ pay.”

Azhug did not forget the details, even when they talked about the temporary contract, a detail that Tang Shaoyang did not even care about. When he tried to agree with the proposed clause, the Ogre would feel bad for him. Then Azhug would become his legal Advisor, telling him that he must try to negotiate, and so on.

“Let’s make it simpler, Azhug. I don’t want to get tangled with this contract any longer. Let’s make it per day, but I will pay you monthly,” Tang Shaoyang squinted his eyes when he noticed Azhug was about to say something. “Don’t talk about the hours, Azhug. As long as you work on that day, I will pay you and your staff in full. Let’s finalize the contract right now.”

Azhug was about to protest, but even his staff agreed with Tang Shaoyang. Before Azhug could say anything, Dryad signed her contract. He found her name in the contract, Lavender.

’Isn’t Lavender a plan?’ That remained on his thoughts as he signed the contract with his energy. If he did not know whether it was offensive or not to call a Dryad a plant. He kept the thoughts in his head.

The Ogre made a movement, but did not like that Lavender signed the contract with his consent. While the Druid was busy with the Dryad, the Fae came to him for the contract as well.

“Please forgive Chief Azhug, Sir. He cares about us, but sometimes he can be somewhat excessive.” The Fae had a soothing and gentle voice, pleasant to the ears. Her name was Meadow Brightvalley.

The cat-folk also snuck in and signed the contract as soon as it appeared in front of her. She handed him the contract, as he found her name as well on the contract, Liora Zephyra.

Meadow and Lavender made the Ogre busy while Liora brought him outside the building. The last one was the Troll, and because of his size, the Troll was uncomfortable entering the Management Center. The Troll was over four meters in height, even taller than Azhug.

They did not find the Troll outside, and the cat-folk seemed to know where to find her troll friend. They headed toward the Medical Center, and the giant troll was playing with the Snow Caracal’s kitties as well as the Void Sparrow family.

The troll in front of him was totally different from the one he had met in the trial and killed. This one was a gentle giant, handling the kitty with care and love. The Beast Spirit seemed to like him as well.

“Elnar!” Liora called her friend.

The troll snapped toward the voice and smiled. He nodded and put the Snow Caracal cubs in the crib gently, then he walked toward his friend. His steps were soundless despite his size because he did not want to disturb the resting Beast Spirits.

“Let’s talk outside, so we don’t disturb their rest,” Elnar pointed at the Auspicious Mytherean and the Snow Caracal mother.

“Hello, Sir. My name is Elnar Harth, and my class is Heart of Realm. It’s an evolution class from the Druid Class. I can help you shape the land to create a certain terrain, so you don’t need to buy the specific terrain in the store. You will not regret hiring me, Sir.”

Liora was nudging her friend when Elnar started talking about his class. However, Liora did not nudge him hard enough. The Troll was either pretending not to notice her, or he did not feel her nudge.

“I can see why Azhug wants to include you in the team. It will be convenient to have someone like you for the job,” Tang Shaoyang pretended not to see Liora’s troubled look.

“My name is Tang Shaoyang,” He offered his hand, and Elnar reached his hand.

“Since you are willing to tell me your class, then I will tell you about one of my classes as well. My class is Administrator, and my rank is Executive Administrator. You will not regret working for me, Elnar.”

Liora stopped nudging her troll as she looked at Tang Shaoyang with her eyes widened in shock, her mouth opened into an O-shape after her employer dropped a bomb into her face.

“You should not tell me your class, Sir. Now I know two of your classes, Administrator and Shepherd of Beast Spirit. It’s unfair for you, sir,” The troll scratched his spiky hair. “I have no choice but to tell you about my second class. My second class is Heart of Life. It’s an advanced healer class, and all my spells are suitable to heal the Beast Spirits. Please don’t tell me about another one of your classes, or else I have to tell you about my remaining classes.”

Tang Shaoyang chuckled as he handed the contract to the troll. Just from this conversation alone, it had already made the troll his favorite employee. Not only did Elnar shatter the image of a troll in his mind, but he also liked his personality.

Elnar did not bother to read the contract. The troll fully trusted Tang Shaoyang to sign the contract without reading it. Fortunately, the troll had a friend like Liora. She snatched the contract to make sure that Tang Shaoyang did not deceive her friend. She was relieved when her friend signed the same contract.

With this, Tang Shaoyang officially hired the staff for his World of Beast Spirit. The next step was to tidy up this place. He believed that Azhug and his new four staff would know better how to design the World of Beast Spirit than he did. Of course, he still had a lot of questions that were still in his head. His questions were delayed because of the contract talks with Azhug.

Elnar decided to stay in the Medical Center and trusted the remaining decision to his friends. Tang Shaoyang and Liora returned to the Management Center, and Azhug reluctantly signed the same contract.

The Ogre squinted his eyes at the contract, “Why do you want to pay ten thousand per day? It’s too much even for me. It’s like I have deceived you, Sir.”

“F*ck with the contract, Azhug.” Tang Shaoyang had lost his patience with the contract. He just wanted to move on to the next step already.

“Please don’t curse, Sir. It will be bad if the Beast Spirit hears you curse. They will try to copy what their owner does and says. I have to put this in the clause for our long-term contract…” The Ogre muttered in a low voice.
