Chapter 186: Chapter 135: You Want to Fight Me for a Man?

A monstrous wave swept toward them, accompanied by the terrifying tail. Lu Changyuan had no choice but to wrap his arm around Qiu Yuehan’s delicate waist, intending to dodge.

But Lu Changyuan realized Qiu Yuehan had no intention of moving at all. Instead, she just smiled as she watched him hold her waist.

The tail was upon them in an instant.

BANG!

The Fairy caught the massive tail with a single hand. Then, she threw a punch, sending both the whale and the wave reeling back with sheer force.

Lu Changyuan released the Fairy’s Chu Palace Waist, but unexpectedly, Qiu Yuehan’s lips curled into a smile. "Keep holding me."

’Something’s not right.’

’This isn’t right at all.’

Lu Changyuan silently let his hand fall. Qiu Yuehan huffed softly, then charged forward. Forgoing her Swordsmanship and Daoist Techniques, she relied on pure, unadulterated strength, hammering the beast with one punch after another.

The whale thrashed, screeching sharply, but in the next instant, something plummeted from the sky, piercing down through its brain.

Lu Changyuan had already thrust Broken Thought into the convulsing human brain.

"The Eating Buddha Sect is truly disgusting."

[The Blood Dragon is about to emerge]

The whale thrashed in agony, its body slowly dissolving into the color of an ink-wash painting before it exploded violently.

Lu Changyuan extended a hand and made a grasping motion.

’Blood Demon Technique!’

The corrosive, ink-like substance didn’t touch either of them.

"Are those two really that powerful? Are they even going to give the rest of us a chance?" Mei Zhaozhao complained.

She had been knocked away by the shockwave from the whale and had swallowed several mouthfuls of seawater. When she looked back, it was just in time to see Qiu Yuehan pummeling the beast.

Seeing that her help was completely unnecessary and figuring she would only be a burden if she stayed, Mei Zhaozhao grabbed a plank of wood and beat a hasty retreat.

Mei Zhaozhao drew in a sharp breath. Her head throbbed with a phantom pain, as if Qiu Yuehan had just smacked her.

’When did the Miao Yu Palace Chief get so strong... The Chief and the second-in-command of Miao Yu Palace are both acting as someone’s handmaidens? That palace is beyond saving.’

After an unknown amount of time, Mei Zhaozhao, paddling the plank purely on instinct, finally found the shore.

"I’m absolutely exhausted."

Muttering to herself, she hopped ashore and gave a long stretch, then suddenly whipped her head around.

"What was that?"

A massive snake suddenly darted out of the jungle bordering the beach, its forked red tongue flicking. On its head bloomed a vivid, scarlet Blood Demon Flower.

Mei Zhaozhao reacted in a flash. A silk ribbon shot from her hand toward the snake’s head. The creature froze on the spot, completely paralyzed by her Red Desire Technique. As the ribbon whipped past, the snake’s head was shredded to pieces.

As she ventured deeper, a throng of bizarre monsters leaped out. Some were living creatures, while others had their brains scooped out, which gave Mei Zhaozhao a fright.

"Where... Where am I?"

Panic began to set in as Mei Zhaozhao realized she was lost.

RUSTLE.

RUSTLE.

"What was that?"

Mei Zhaozhao froze. A series of skin-crawling sounds rose up behind her. When she turned, she saw a veritable sea of snakes slithering out from the jungle, all flicking their tongues as they stared at her.

"I’m so dead this time."

’One or two would have been manageable, but she couldn’t possibly handle this many.’

"Let’s talk this out! I... I just accidentally killed one of your companions... It was an accident, you have to believe me... EEEK!!!"

The Hehuan Sect Saintess bolted.

The snakes pursued her relentlessly. Mei Zhaozhao felt she had never run so fast in her entire life.

Crashing through the jungle, Mei Zhaozhao ran wildly with no regard for direction.

The commotion stirred up all the Demon Beasts in the area, and the entire jungle quickly descended into chaos.

RUMBLE.

Suddenly, a tremendous cracking sound tore through the air. For reasons unknown, the entire island began to break apart. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

And Mei Zhaozhao happened to be at the epicenter of the split. She plunged straight into the chasm.

"EEK!!! NOOOO!"
