Are There Only Demonesses Left in the Cultivation Realm?
Chapter 163 - 124: Want to Touch?
Chapter 163: Chapter 124: Want to Touch?
"Don’t you usually sit cross-legged?"
Lu Changyuan couldn’t help but ask.
The two were on their way to the village. Xia Lianxue had left the light-gauze palanquin for Qiu Yuehan and departed on a flying vessel herself.
Beneath the white gauze curtains, the Moon Fairy had shed her fox-fur cloak. Her black dress slipped slightly off her shoulder, and a pair of lovely, fair little feet with a rosy blush were crossed and placed unreservedly before Lu Changyuan.
The Moon Fairy seemed completely unaware of how alluring this was. She propped up her head, her fingertips brushing against her dark hair, and gazed out of the palanquin, not answering Lu Changyuan’s question.
Her delicate feet were like newly blossomed magnolia petals, the arches forming a graceful curve. The skin over her ankles glowed like fresh snow, and each perfectly formed toe was as enticing as warm jade.
After a long moment of silence, Lu Changyuan suddenly felt the mark on his body begin to heat up.
’This Fairy may be silent and cold on the outside, but she’s all fire inside. She’s one step short of telling me, "Go on, play with them for a bit." It’s so hard to guess what she’s trying to make me do right now.’
Lu Changyuan felt a headache coming on.
’Qiu Yuehan is so complicated. If the Little Fairy were here, she’d already be trying to tear my clothes off... Perhaps all lonely people are like this. Only through long companionship can you melt away that complex, icy exterior and pluck the snow lotus within.’
But Lu Changyuan had no intention of indulging Qiu Yuehan.
’The Heart-Devouring Demon Pattern is just too useful, you know?’
The Cold Fairy, who had been admiring the scenery, suddenly let out a soft moan. She then turned her head, her cheeks flushed scarlet, and looked at Lu Changyuan.
Her soft gasps rose and fell in waves. Although the Moon Fairy tried her best to maintain her cold expression, ripples already disturbed the calm of her gentle eyes. As her legs shifted slightly, an alluring sound escaped her lips.
Lu Changyuan turned his head away, then his eyes shot wide open.
The mark from Yu was growing even more rampant. He almost lost control of himself.
"Ngh!"
Looking closely, a fine sheen of sweat had already appeared on the Moon Fairy’s fair neck. Her eyes were hazy with desire, and her hands clenched the white gauze, the folds outlining the shape of the Fairy’s hands.
For a moment, the two were locked in a stalemate.
After a long while, Qiu Yuehan rolled onto her stomach. Her graceful body arched up from the floor as she crawled, inch by inch, to Lu Changyuan’s side. She rested her lovely head on his shoulder, her voice filled with an emotion that was impossible to refuse. "Spare me, please?"
Their confrontation thus came to an end, with Lu Changyuan emerging as the victor this time.
Qiu Yuehan circulated the Supreme Pure Spirit Forget Immortal Technique to calm her heart until it was as still as water, then a faint smile graced her lips.
She had just tried to resist Lu Changyuan’s Demon Pattern by sheer will, without using her Heart Method.
The Moon Fairy felt like she’d wrung water from a stone, but she only said softly, "What is our relationship now? Am I your master, your slave, or your little apprentice?"
Lu Changyuan was also at a loss for words. The layers of identities piling up one after another were as exciting as breaking some sort of taboo.
The Moon Fairy’s hair brushed against Lu Changyuan’s hand, tickling him slightly. The Fairy said, "Did you meet the Nether Monarch because you met Qiu Yuehan first, or did you meet Qiu Yuehan because you met the Nether Monarch first?"
Who could really say for sure?
"If you met Qiu Yuehan first, then Qiu Yuehan met you before Xia Lianxue. If you met the Nether Monarch first, then the Nether Monarch also met you before Xia Yutang, right?"
’That’s not how it works, is it?’
Lu Changyuan still didn’t understand how he had bypassed the Celestial Dao to descend into the past, so this question was destined to have no answer.
"It seems like I came first, no matter how you look at it."
Fortunately, Qiu Yuehan didn’t press the matter. She just leaned against Lu Changyuan and slowly fell asleep.
Perhaps her goal wasn’t to have Lu Changyuan punish her severely after all, but simply to come over and sleep against him.
Lu Changyuan couldn’t be sure. He had been in cultivation for so many years, yet he still couldn’t understand a woman’s heart.
When Qiu Yuehan opened her eyes again, the palanquin had already stopped.
Lu Changyuan patted Qiu Yuehan’s head the same way he would the Little Fairy’s, earning him a fierce glare from the Moon Fairy.
"I’m not my junior sister," the Moon Fairy said. Then she tucked a strand of dark hair behind her ear, leaned in, and fiercely locked lips and tongues with Lu Changyuan.
Dark hair brushed against his face, carrying the Fairy’s scent. They parted after a long time, the Fairy looking breathtakingly beautiful.
Qiu Yuehan said expressionlessly, "Let’s go. Time to pay our respects."
It was as if the one who had just taken the initiative and played her games in the palanquin was someone else entirely.
Lu Changyuan could only follow her out of the palanquin with a helpless sigh.
The village was still the same village, and the entrance looked just as it had when he left. However, the mountain in the distance seemed to have partially collapsed, perhaps from a landslide caused by the winter rains.
The big yellow dog at the entrance barked twice and ran over joyfully, rubbing against Lu Changyuan’s trouser leg.
Lu Changyuan bent down and patted the dog’s head.
His home was at the village entrance. Looking over, he saw that the two large trees by the gate had been chopped in half and lay on the ground. The fence in the yard was smashed to pieces, and the kitchen door was half-broken, creaking with every gust of wind.
Suddenly, a gust of wind blew past, and both Lu Changyuan and Qiu Yuehan blinked at the same time.
Qiu Yuehan’s beautiful eyes were filled with an unreadable emotion. "I wonder if your house is even habitable anymore."
The two walked closer.
Fortunately, the two from the Blood Demon Palace hadn’t damaged the main house at the time. They had only been focused on hunting the pair down, so the furnishings inside were still intact. At least they wouldn’t be without a place to sleep tonight.
"I’m going for a walk to see the place where you grew up."
Lu Changyuan said, "Can’t you help me clean up the house?"
"I don’t feel like eating plain noodle soup tonight, so I’m planning to go up the mountain." Qiu Yuehan looked at Lu Changyuan, as if protesting the fact that he had fed her plain noodle soup that day.
"Weren’t there also pickled radishes?"
"Not anymore."
The pickled radishes had been in a kitchen cabinet. They were knocked over by the people from the Blood Demon Palace and had rolled all over the ground, making them inedible.
But Qiu Yuehan returned very quickly.
"You’re back already?"
Qiu Yuehan said, "Something’s not right. I just walked further into the village and found it almost completely deserted."
Lu Changyuan frowned. Although the village was small, every house should have been occupied. And the Cultivators from the Blood Demon Palace hadn’t harmed mortals.
’What happened?’
"I’ll go take a look."
Lu Changyuan walked into the village. Just as Qiu Yuehan had said, most of the houses were empty. He couldn’t even see many chickens or ducks.
’Did the villagers move away en masse? The chances of that are minuscule.’
The deeper he went, the quieter it became.
Qiu Yuehan stood by Lu Changyuan’s side. "It’s dinnertime right now, but with so many houses, there’s no smoke from cooking fires. That in itself is very strange."
Lu Changyuan walked even deeper. After crossing a small, dilapidated bridge, a tiny house appeared before him. It was the only place with smoke rising from it.
This was Bitter Girl’s home. Lu Changyuan still remembered the dark, skinny girl. She had come to him many times to get medicine for her mother; she was extremely filial.
"Hm?"
Lu Changyuan looked up. Dark clouds were gathering in the sky.
Qiu Yuehan said softly, "It’s about to rain. A winter rain should be bone-chilling."
Suddenly, an urgent voice called out, "You two, hurry inside! Don’t get caught in the rain!"
