Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1219: This Is the Result of Two Years of Hard Work

“What does his actions have to do with me! And I’m Lucy, not Luffy!”

“Heh, now I’m even more sure that you’re that guy’s grandson. Only people from the Monkey family would think like that.”

In Chinjao’s view, Luffy’s first sentence was based on Garp being his grandfather, allowing him to ask such a question. The latter part seemed like a cover-up.

Chinjao didn’t know that, given the current situation, the intelligence of the Monkey family was likely concentrated in Dragon. At least until Dragon’s character arc revealed more and his aura hadn’t completely faded.

Boom!

Chinjao’s feet had already crushed the platform below, and his beard was fluttering up and down due to the aura.

“Enough talk. Feel the resentment I’ve carried for decades with your body!”

Chinjao’s Haki began to flow in a special way, executing the secret technique passed down through generations of the Happo Navy – Kiryu Kirikugi.

It’s not necessarily about headbutting; it’s a special force technique. Whether using your head, feet, or weapon, as long as you can pierce through the Ice Continent, you’re qualified.

To this day, the thirteenth leader, Sai, couldn’t claim to truly master this secret technique and was still learning it.

Through twelve generations of Happo Navy, each leader used different styles.

Yet, Chinjao’s conical head inadvertently maximized its power.

“The leader of Happo Navy, Chinjao, seems to have targeted Lucy! They seem to have some grievances, and the surrounding contestants wisely avoid them. Oh no, there’s one exception!”

Gatz’s urgent commentary came from above, and his explanation inadvertently helped some contestants, letting some grasp the new situation by listening.

At this moment, Gatz’s voice became suddenly excited.

“It’s our revered King Doflamingo from the far-off First Half of the Grand Line, who came rushing in and eliminated those who mocked us as a barbarian pirate realm. Dressrosa’s fierce bullet! Bellamy! In today’s gala, this man wants to fulfill his longtime wish of legitimately becoming an officer of the Donquixote family with his victory! Known as the Hyena, he launched a surprise attack on Chinjao and Lucy!”

Bellamy, with a bounty of one hundred and ninety-five million Belly, was once punched out by Luffy in Demon Valley Town, and now, two years later, he reappears here.

He bore no hatred for Luffy. That punch seemed to awaken him, freeing him from being a frog in a well.

His arrival here is due to his admiration for Doflamingo.

With Diamante being “accidentally” eliminated, Bellamy naturally became the new support target for the audience as someone aspiring to be a Donquixote family officer.

“Straw Hat! Take this! I’m not the same as two years ago!”

Besides his obsession with Doflamingo, Luffy also lingered in Bellamy’s mind, wanting to discuss some things with him.

In the cheers of the crowd, Bellamy’s legs turned into springs, compressing and releasing repeatedly, using the arena’s surroundings to accumulate kinetic energy.

“Spring Death Fist!”

Compared to two years ago, Bellamy had improved significantly, but now he’s clearly picked the wrong time. Chinjao already targeted Luffy as his prey, wanting to personally take him down. Bellamy’s interference only made him Chinjao’s first target of attention.

“Stay out of this, brat!”

Before Bellamy, aiming for Luffy, could reach him, he was punched out by Chinjao. The cheers from moments ago turned to awkwardness.

The Bullfighting Arena used to be the playground of the Donquixote family, with many participants, but as the Defender, Diamante always had an invincible posture, engraving strength into himself.

But these internal fighters appear weak against top-tier sea enemies.

Diamante, “carelessly” defeated by an “unknown old man,” and Bellamy, now crushed by Chinjao, gave them a special feeling – the Donquixote family is weak, previously strong only because they hadn’t faced real powerhouses.

“Kid, it seems many are holding grudges against you.”

“Hmm… I remember him; wasn’t it Marlo?”

“It’s Bellamy! You idiot, at least remember the enemy’s name? Forget it, it’s none of my business. Die! Hasshoken Secret Technique: Kiryu Kirikugi!”

Chinjao clasped his hands and clapped forcefully, then leapt into the air, gathering Haki into a point and lunging at Luffy below.

“Here it is! It’s Leader Chinjao’s ultimate move, said to pierce through the Ice Continent with one hit! Against Lucy, Chinjao pulls out his strongest technique! But the contestant Lucy didn’t clash directly with Chinjao; he chose to evade… Wait! The match is over! Zone D qualifiers, Lucy and Chinjao!”

Gatz rubbed his eyes, suddenly seeing a strange scene.

The power of Chinjao’s Kiryu Kirikugi was undeniable, yet Luffy uncharacteristically chose not to clash but to evade.

This was the result of being trained by Hegoro for two years, forming a habit of not clashing unnecessarily.

Using a headbutt for attack makes it nearly impossible for Chinjao to change direction in mid-air after locking onto his target. So when Luffy evaded, Chinjao’s Kiryu Kirikugi struck the stage.

Chinjao’s already restored spiky head wasn’t as powerful, but under his headbutt, the ring shattered entirely, and the powerful shockwave sent even Sai and Abu flying.

When the dust settled, only Luffy and Chinjao remained standing on the remaining stone fragments, directly meeting the match’s end conditions.

“What… is Luffy’s luck really this good?”

Ace glanced at Marco beside him. He had previously thought that Luffy might be in a tough battle, but now it seemed he underestimated Luffy’s luck.

“Old man! This is the arena! What’s going on here?”

Old Sai, who had fallen into the water, cut down a fighting fish trying to attack him and then asked Chinjao with displeasure.

“Damn it, Garp’s grandson didn’t go head-to-head? I was careless…”

Hearing Gatz’s warning that continuing to fight would lead to disqualification, Chinjao temporarily suppressed his anger.

“Straw Hat boy, cherish these last moments. I’ll defeat you in the final round! Don’t think about running away; I’ll keep my eyes on you.”

Entering the finals was a significant matter for him, so he didn’t forcefully make a move. Instead, after pulling his grandson out of the water, he walked back to the preparation area with a face full of anger.

…

After the Zone D match ended, Redfield also prepared some things for Padoom, handing him some leaves.

“Alright, this should be enough for you to advance.”

“Oh, thanks, boss. This definitely makes things easier.”

These leaves were no longer ordinary leaves but transformation leaves.

Padoom’s combat abilities were not strong, but he was a Dog-Dog Fruit Mythical·Bake-danuki user, capable of transforming various objects with the leaves he had.

He could also transform into a brush, allowing Redfield to use his ability to replicate anyone from his memory.

Although these replicated people couldn’t exert their original powers, they could still replicate their abilities, which was enough to deal with some enemies.

Padoom himself could only transform into items like telescopes, but with Redfield’s help, he could transform into some people from Redfield’s memory.

These transformation leaves were Padoom’s summoning contract; amid the warriors, Padoom was essentially an unconventional summoner.

“Which arena are you in?”

“Arena F, and it’ll be a little while, Redfield boss. By the way, did that girl agree with you?”

“No, being a pirate is not a job she likes.”

“Then, Redfield boss, do you still want to help her?”

“These matters… depend on my mood. Who knows? Let’s go; come back when it’s your turn.”

Redfield placed Padoom on his shoulder and left with him, bumping into Yamato and her group on the way to the spectator seats, then suddenly stiffened.

“What’s wrong, Redfield boss?”

“Nothing, it’s just that this Dressrosa is much more interesting than I thought…”

Mind Reading had already become a habit for him; faced with strangers he wanted to understand, Redfield instinctively wanted to use this ability.

Straw Hat Gang and Rebecca, he had seen many interesting people he knew, and unexpectedly, there was an even stranger group here.

When he looked at Yamato, he saw only a blank space; no memory or inner thoughts, Redfield couldn’t observe anything.

Initially, he thought it was simply because the opponent’s strength was strong, whether it was their bounty or identity, or other people’s level of importance towards her, all reflecting this point.

So he shifted his gaze to the people around her, but before he could see anything, a black giant dragon suddenly appeared there and directly “pushed” him out.

He had encountered people capable of individually blocking perception, but this was the first time a group was able to block him.

The island residents with missing memories, the unthinkable Yamato group, the innocent Straw Hat and Rebecca—this was probably his best sail since setting out again.

…

The natural force blocking Redfield’s peeks was Zekrom’s consciousness in the Spiritual Space; without further interaction, in a corner of the Bullfighting Arena, a Navy could not help but wipe the sweat from his forehead.

“This is Vice Admiral Maynard, reporting the latest situation. Hundred Beasts Pirates Ghost Princess has brought a team to the Bullfighting Arena, with six members in total, five of whom have bounties exceeding 100 million. BIG MOM Pirates have also been spotted with General Katakuri, Daifuku, and Owen, along with BIG MOM’s created Homie soldiers guarding the ship at the seaside. Whitebeard Pirates led by Phoenix Marco, Diamond Jozu, and Fire Fist Ace with the Decalban Brothers and Ice Witch Whitey Bay, exact numbers unclear. Finally… reportedly found the aloof… Ah!”

Maynard suddenly let out a scream and then fell silent.

“Vice Admiral Maynard? Vice Admiral Maynard! What happened? Please respond, please respond!”

An anxious inquiry came from the Radio Snail, but there was no further response, only the sound of liquid dripping onto the ground.

Behind Maynard, Shiryu with a severed arm ended the Radio Snail call with a bloodlust smile.

“As expected, the Navy came as well…”
