First Outer City, Greenhouse Shelters.

Greenhouse 1 and 2 are more than half empty, with only a few dozen people left inside.

Greenhouse 3 has a bit more people.

The rest have gone to work at the Fourth Outer City construction site.

The people staying here generally have quite a lot of points and stored food, so they can stay here with peace of mind.

Inside Greenhouse 1.

Luo Gui and their group didn’t go out to work today. Luo Gui looked at a little boy not far from their tent, staying there obediently, and felt much relieved.

"Da Mei, could you help watch over Dai Jiusheng’s son? I need to go to the bathroom," Luo Gui said.

Team member Da Mei nodded and said, "Sure, you go ahead."

Saying so, Da Mei walked over with a smile, and said to Dai Fengmang, "Little Mang, do you want to play a game with me, sister?"

"No, thanks."

...

This little boy is Dai Jiusheng’s son, and Dai Jiusheng fled here from the Southwest. He’s one of the few newcomers among the cooperative personnel who were allowed in to escape the natural disaster.

Though they don’t know why he was given special entry, they speculate that he must have contributed something special; otherwise, they wouldn’t have specially allowed him in. As for what that contribution is, they’re not sure.

Dai Jiusheng went to work at the construction site to exchange for points and food.

After more than a month of heavy rain, he’s now quite familiar with Luo Gui’s group.

Especially Da Mei, who lost her son in the first year of the Doomsday, who was about Little Mang’s age.

So every time she sees Dai Jiusheng’s son, Little Mang, she thinks of her son.

Her overflowing maternal love with no place to go makes her treat Little Mang particularly well.

Dai Jiusheng can also feel her kindness, so his relationship with their group is getting better and better.

That’s why Dai Jiusheng can confidently go to the construction site and leave his child in the care of Luo Gui and Da Mei.

Luo Gui got up to go to the bathroom.

Big Camphor Tree Base has rules against relieving oneself anywhere.

There are designated places for using the bathroom, as human waste is also a resource.

It can be turned into homemade fertilizer through septic tanks and composting to help boost crop yields.

He wrapped himself in a cloak and hurried towards the bathroom.

But as he stepped out of the greenhouse,

he suddenly noticed that the First Outer City’s gate was open.

This gate is rarely opened.

The First Outer City gate is connected to the First Bottle City.

Standing on tiptoe, he saw there were many people in the First Bottle City.

And they were all carrying large and small bags, holding various luggage.

"Where did all these people come from?" He looked at the people appearing in the First Bottle City, puzzled.

"Oh!" He suddenly clutched his buttocks as a tremendous force within him threatened to burst out.

He couldn’t care about his curiosity any longer and rushed to the bathroom.

Running into the bathroom, he bumped into Old Huang.

Old Huang was knocked by him, and Luo Gui quickly said, "Sorry, sorry, Old Huang, I really can’t hold it any longer."

Frantically moving.

Bam!

He closed the door to the first stall.

And then, the sound of bombshells erupted like a natural disaster.

Old Huang pinched his nose, silently cursing with his lips.

Hurriedly walked out.

Once outside, he washed his hands.

Then he heard a burst of chatter.

Shook the water off his hands, pulled on his cloak, covered his face with a piece of cloth, and walked back out.

"Did people from Weng City arrive? Who are they?" Old Huang made his way to the third greenhouse, while observing the situation over at Weng City.

Suddenly.

He noticed He Chao standing in a small house in Weng City, talking to Li Yuan.

The people were lining up to enter.

After pondering for a while, he had some guesses.

But they needed to be verified.

He hadn’t seen those people outside; after all, he joined the Big Camphor Tree Base not long ago and went to the Fifth Satellite City.

These newcomers are cooperative personnel from the First Satellite City, so it’s normal that he hadn’t seen them.

Though he knows some of those new cooperative personnel from the Fifth Satellite City that had just arrived, he heard the news that the Fifth Satellite City was completely destroyed, with no survivors.

With this in mind, he returned to Greenhouse 3, where the extra staff lived.

Compared to the two greenhouses next door, there wasn’t much difference in the environment inside.

The only difference was, fewer people meant everyone had several times more space than the cooperative personnel.

"Old Huang, what’s up with you? You come back from the bathroom with a deep thought?" Xiao Ye saw Old Huang frowning and teased.

Old Huang glared and said, "Grandpa’s thinking, don’t disturb me."

Hearing what Old Huang said, Noble Consort also set her book down out of curiosity.

Asked, "What’s up?"

Old Huang said, "A lot of people came from outside, I think they might be people from the Satellite City, just those cooperative personnel coming from the Southwest."

"Huh? Weren’t they stationed in the Satellite City? Why suddenly allow them in? If you ask me, someone among them rebelled before, why bother saving them?" Xiao Ye said.

Old Huang frowned and said:

"That’s not for us to discuss. What I’m worried about is that if they let them in without assigning a new greenhouse for them, they’ll have to squeeze in with us, which will make our living space very crowded."

Hearing him say this, Noble Consort said:

"We don’t need to worry about that, I saw today that people were entering the two greenhouses next door, those two are entering a fallow period, they’ll probably use them...."
