Apocalypse: Transmigrated General's Daughter Uses Space to Survive
Chapter 649: Taking Zhao Ji Along
Chu Miao decided that there was no longer any need to hide her identity any longer.
"What do you mean you are not from this world? Were you not born here?" Lin Wan was alarmed.
Had they been talking to a ghost all along?
Chu Miao seemed to understand her thoughts and a laugh escaped her lips.
The voice was pleasant and melodious. This was the first time both Lin Wan and Zhao Lu had heard her laugh and they were momentarily enormoured.
"I am not a ghost. I was indeed born here. But I was just reincarnated after my death in th Immortal Realm. It is a way for the powerful individuals to start a new after reaching the peak. Ah Xuan and I were the rulers of the Immortal Realm and had reached the pinnacle of power, but just like our predecessors, we couldn’t break through to godhood. Before we could find a solution, demons attacked the Immortal Realm and I had a premonition that I would perish in that battle. However, I also realized that dying was the only way to ascend further. Nevertheless, I didn’t know how to achieve that, so, I just went with the flow. True to my premonition, I managed to vanguish the demons attacking the Immortal Realm, but I also perished in that battlefield. Then, I was reborn in the ancient world where people still cultivated, but the level of cultivation was lower. Reaching the golden core stage was a kind to a chasm. The strongest person could only reach the nascent soul. It was in that world that I got a prophecy that I would face a tribulation in the form of an apocalypse and the only way to pass the tribulation was to end it. Once I succeed, I can continue to grow stronger and achieve what I wanted. At the time, I didn’t understand what the prophecy meant since I was only nine years old and didn’t have any memories from the Immortal Realm. It was only after I wws killed in battle there and reborn in this world for the second time and the apocalypse began that I recovered memories of the two lifetimes. Thus, I known that while the apocalypse is an opportunity for humans to evolve, it is also an opportunity for me to pass my tribulation. Once I am done, I will go back to the Immortal Realm. The resources there are more abundant and cultivators can grow stronger faster. So, I wanted to take Little Ji with me and let him become a powerhouse even in the Immortal Realm. However, since he is not strong enough yet and I normal circumstances, cultivators below the tribulation transcendent stage wouldn’t be able to leave the lower realm, I will have to use a special method to bring him along and he can’t return to earth until he is strong enough to tear through space and time and come back here. Hence, I wanted you to think about it. If he remains here, he will probably become one among the strongest in the world in a few years. But, his strength will stagnate after breaking through divine transformation and his lifespan will be limited. However, if he leaves with me, he can become much stronger. Once he breaks through to True Immortal, he will be able to tear through space and come to see you. So, the choice is yours." Chu Miao felt that she hadn’t spoke so much in a long time and was parched.
She took a bottle of water out of her space ring and took a few sips before putting it back.
Zhao Lu and Lin Wan were left speechless after listening to her tale.
They hadn’t expected there to be such a story behind Chu Miao, especially with her identity.
Were strong people really so easy to get along with?
Thinking that they had been treating someone who had nearly become a god so casually made them break out in a cold sweat.
However, looking at the easy going expression on her face, they realized that she didn’t care much about such things.
Even though they didn’t know where Immortal Realm was, the name Immortal already explained a lot.
How could they have been living with an Immortal for so long without even knowing? No, she said Ye Xuan had been ruling together with her, so, it wasn’t just one immortal, but two. Their sect actually had two immortals backing them up.
When they thought of letting their young son go, they felt a wave of reluctance. But when they thought that their son could also become an immortal, they felt excitement nearly bubble out of their chest.
Like Lin Wan said, which parent doesn’t want their child to thrive? It’s just that they would be left alone for a long time. However, as long as their son could accomplish his aspirations, that was all that mattered.
Even though their son was young, as parents, they knew what he wanted, thus, it was expected that they would support him.
However, the thought of not seeing their son for years still pricked their hearts. Especially for Lin Wan, who wasn’t superpowered or a cultivator.
Her husband could probably work hard to live for five hundred years, but what about her? Would she be able to wait for her son?
Chu Miao seemed to read her mind and reassured her.
"Don’t worry, I will find a way to help you awaken a spirit root. Even though it might be inferior and cultivation will be harder for you, it is still better than being an ordinary being. Thus, as long as you are diligent, you will advance and increase your lifespan. In that case, you will be able to wait for Little Ji to break through to the Immortal stage and come back." She hadn’t thought of helping anyone to awaken a spirit root before because everyone had their own fate.
Yet, this was Little Ji’s mother, so, she had to put in some effort.
