Apocalypse: Transmigrated General's Daughter Uses Space to Survive
Chapter 639: The Battle
He also remembered those people who had build a lab with the intention of experimenting on superpower users but we’re shut down soon after they heard about the teleportation ability and set their sights on her.
They thought that her teleportation ability held the secret of time travel as well.
Too bad they seemed to have provoked a dangerous entity since all the scientists involved together with the lab disappeared overnight.
This issue, not many people knew about it, even Chu Miao herself was unaware.
Chu Miao looked at the leaders who all looked eager and decided to take everyone along.
With a thought, everyone was enveloped in a flash of light and they all disappeared.
When they appeared again, they were all at the bottom of the city wall in the south.
For Gu Fan and his brothers who were used to teleporting, they immediately climbed on the city wall as soon as they touched hard ground.
As for the others teleporting for the first time, they had to fight nausea and dizziness for a while before they felt better.
A warrior who had just advanced to the sixth level looked up at Gu Fan and the others on the wall and asked, "Aren’t you affected at all?"
Everyone also wanted to know.
"We are used to it. It’s uncomfortable at first, but once you get used to it, you feel nothing." Lei Ying explained carelessly.
Qin Jiuzen wondered how many times one had to teleport to get used to it.
However, they didn’t have much time to talk about this as Chu Miao called out.
The zombies are a kilometer out. You can see them.
Everyone went onto the city wall and looked into the distance.
Indeed there was a mass of black heads moving fast towards the wall.
"There must be at least a thousand zombies." Pei Ming muttered.
"So, it’s not a lot." One of the warriors commented as he relaxed his guard.
"Don’t underestimate them. The number might be small but the weakest among them is a level six zombie. Half of them are at least level seven." Chu Miao warned seriously.
When they heard that half of those zombies were level seven, everyone felt a chill run down their spine.
And the weakest was level six, which meant that the other half was level six zombies.
Besides, the number of zombies was ten times their own and only a few of them had just advanced to level six.
How were they supposed to fight this battle?
Seeing that they were about to give up even before the fight began, Chu Miao spoke again.
"Just fight to the best of your ability and leave the rest to me."
Even though she would also find it challenging to fight so many high-level zombies, it wasn’t hopeless.
She just had to work harder and use her water and light element superpowers to its fullest.
Without waiting for the zombies to get any closer to the city wall, Chu Miao gave the order to attack.
Without a moment’s delay, all a hundred warriors jumped down from the wall and ran towards the approaching zombies.
Chu Miao didn’t stay behind this time. She also teleported to the front of the first few zombies in the distance.
She quickly took out a sharp sword from her space ring and engaged in a close battle with the zombies.
Since she broke through to the nascent soul realm, she had rarely encountered any worthy opponents to help her accumulate experience and stabilize her cultivation.
With her cultivation advancing so fast, she feared that it might hinder her future growth if not stabilized.
However, these zombies today presented a great opportunity for her to hone her skills.
She swang her sword skillfully and faced a group of level six zombies alone.
It seemed that the hierarchy in the zombie hordes if very strict.
Even with this covert attack, those at the front, seemingly moving forward to scout were the weaker ones.
The strongest zombies were moving slower at the back. Yet, even after Chu Miao’s group attacked, they didn’t immediately rush forward.
As Chu Miao swang her sword, every swing left the zombies either decapitated or with missing limbs.
The other warriors were the same, except for Gu Fan, Pei Ming, and Lei Ying who adopted the same fighting style as Chu Miao, fighting without using their abilities, the others used their superpowers.
The battlefield was colorful with different abilities shot from different directions.
Yet, soon they were almost overwhelmed as the zombies too turned out to be evolved and possessing special abilities as well.
One of the level seven zombie which had joined the battle hurled a large ball of fire at one of the warriors.
Unfortunately, he was occupied with defending against three zombies besieging him from three directions and could not evade not could he counterattack.
Moreover, the attack came from behind where he couldn’t see it and only relied on his advanced sixth sense and the heat emanating from the fire ball to detect the attack.
Seeing how he was completely cornered and realizing that he might not survive today’s battle, he felt a little unwilling. Yet, he also understood that in the apocalypse, living one more day was a bonus and dying to protect this city he and his fellow countrymen had reclaimed, he wasn’t very regretful.
He was only regretful that he didn’t kill a few more zombies before dying.
Yet, this realization didn’t cause his movements to falter. He continued his assault on the zombies determined to take at least one down with him before that attack arrived.
The leaders observing the battle from the wall also saw this scene.
They hadn’t expected that the zombies attacking from this side would be so formidable.
What was even more disheartening was that the stronger zombies at the back had yet to join the battle.
"Why is the Little girl Chu and her companions not using their superpowers?" One of the leaders asked in confusion.
