"They’ve spotted us!"

"No kidding, with so many of us here! Boss, what do we do?"

"Quick, everyone smile, show friendliness, imitate me, keep your hands up like this, and whatever you do, don’t make them think we’re reaching for weapons. I’m telling you, this is no joke!"

With his single eye and a face full of weathered lines, Meng Changwei looked somewhat menacing, but his words were always amusing.

His companions obediently followed his lead, as there was no room for jokes here. Facing hundreds of people, it wasn’t an exaggeration to say that a slap from each could kill them.

The Flying Wolf Gang members were also cooperative, not daring to make any rash moves. They acted as if they were part of Bridge Town, moving in perfect unison.

Yet, as Meng Changwei led his group forward, hands raised, a familiar figure suddenly appeared in his sight. It was a woman, jumping down from the first truck, a battered old van.

"Damn it!"

Meng Changwei felt a chill in his heart.

"What’s wrong, Boss?"

Xiaowei, following beside Meng Changwei, asked in surprise after hearing his mutter.

"Nothing, nothing! Don’t ask too many questions."

Meng Changwei’s expression darkened. He had seen Zheng Xinyu before and recognized her instantly, but he hadn’t seen Zhang Su from the first vehicle, which sent a rather bad signal. It seemed like Master Zhang was really gone!

Still, he held onto a glimmer of hope, his gaze quickly scanning past Zheng Xinyu. Soon, he spotted several familiar figures on the road, holding guns, and some even wore those odd, ugly hats that symbolized the spirit of Celestial Horse Island...

Seeing many people, yet not Zhang Su’s figure, Meng Changwei sighed deeply. By now, they were thirty meters from the roadside. He called out loudly, "Sister-in-law, I’m Meng Changwei from Bridge Town, remember me?"

His shout didn’t elicit a reaction from the hundreds beside the convoy, but it did startle the members of the Flying Wolf Gang next to Meng Changwei!

Meng Changwei knew them?

Crap, if they knew each other, then this really was Celestial Horse Island’s convoy!

Many Flying Wolf Gang members exchanged glances, their eyes asking each other what to do.

Qi Dabin’s mind was racing, his head buzzing with thoughts. Ultimately, in his tangled emotions, he chose to remain silent, making no move.

With the boss not taking further action, the others naturally followed suit, keeping their composure.

Standing in the crowd, Xie Guangfa narrowed his eyes, constantly watching Qi Dabin and the key troublemakers like Big Bull and Skinny. Seeing no action from them, he grew more cautious.

"Huh? Why are they here..."

Zheng Xinyu looked at the waving Meng Changwei in surprise. His distinctive appearance was etched in her memory.

"Judging by their desperate look, they probably fled here. There have been quite a few camps in trouble recently; even they ended up running to us..."

Zhao Dezhu thoughtfully analyzed.

"Hey, Boss Meng, hello there. Um, could you all kindly put down your weapons first?"

Zheng Xinyu also waved an arm, greeting them but didn’t plan to approach, sticking to a cautious approach regardless of familiarity, insisting they put down weapons before talking.

Several members of the Flying Wolf Gang smirked at the stark reality. The folks from Bridge Town had to disarm while the other side remained fully armed, leaving them no choice but to comply.

Even some from Bridge Town mumbled complaints, but seeing Meng Changwei readily tossing his submachine gun afar, they quickly imitated.

"Sorry, it’s a rule set by Brother Su. We must consider the safety of the majority. Please understand and don’t worry, he’s coming from the back and will need some time!"

Seeing cooperation from the other side, Zheng Xinyu felt considerably relieved, pointing to the rear of the convoy.

A seemingly casual sentence hit the people from Bridge Town and the Flying Wolf Gang like thunder. Everyone’s gazes followed Zheng Xinyu’s finger, seeing a sidecar suddenly driving alongside the convoy, its unique design prompting awe.

The passenger wasn’t some high-ranking officer but a composed, steady man.

"Master Zhang!"

Meng Changwei exclaimed, immediately confirming the man’s identity, then shot a scrutinizing look at Qi Dabin, signaling he had been deceived!

Qi Dabin was shocked but remained calm, touching his neck and turning to Skinny, "Hey, what rumors did you actually hear? Master Zhang seems perfectly alive!"

"Keep acting, just keep acting!"

Meng Changwei fumed internally, grateful he hadn’t truly intended to raid Celestial Horse Island with the Flying Wolf Gang, avoiding what could’ve been disastrous!

"Act? Damn, I’m just passing along what this scumbag told me. It’s got nothing to do with me. Blame him!"

Qi Dabin suddenly flared up as well, stepping forward to yank Skinny by the collar, tossing him toward Meng Changwei.

"No, I, haha, well, there’s uh, nothing... I definitely... uhh..."

Skinny’s down jacket slipped to one side, revealing a gray undershirt around his neck, making his already sorry appearance even more pathetic. He waved his arms, attempting to explain, but his words were jumbled; for all his slick talk, he found himself speechless now.

Who could’ve predicted such a coincidence? However, it might be an opportunity, as at least the situation was still manageable!

On Zheng Xinyu’s side, many were puzzled as to why they’d suddenly started fighting. These people were just so bizarre!
