They’re human heads.

Some belonged to men while the others belonged to women. Their faces were swollen and horribly disfigured from decomposition, while their hair was still clinging to their scalps.

Elliot immediately turned away as the sight was too much.

His stomach churned violently before he dropped to one knee and began vomiting.

"Ugh!"

He couldn’t hold it in anymore. Everything he had eaten earlier came rushing out as he continued throwing up, his body shaking uncontrollably.

"Damn it!" Darren muttered, his face pale as he struggled to keep himself from vomiting as well.

But before either of them could recover, Erick moved toward another drum.

"We need to check the rest."

His voice was strained, but he forced himself to remain composed.

"Captain Ivy needs to know what we’re dealing with."

Without wasting any more time, Erick grabbed the side of another drum and pushed it over and the moment it fell...

More liquid spilled across the ground.

And then several intestines and other human organs slid out onto the dirt.

Erick’s eyes widened as his face immediately filled with disgust.

"Fuck..."

He quickly covered his mouth and nose.

"This place is insane."

Darren stared at the scattered organs, his expression hardening.

"These people have been storing human remains here."

Erick immediately turned toward the building.

"We’re going inside." His tone left no room for argument. "Captain Ivy and Anya might be in danger."

Without wasting another second, Erick turned and sprinted toward the entrance of the building while the others followed him immediately as well as some soldiers.

Meanwhile, inside the building, Mr. Philip and his men still had Ivy and Anya restrained.

The soldiers had not yet decided what to do with them.

Some stood around them with their weapons drawn, while others watched from a distance, waiting for Mr. Philip’s orders.

Ivy remained surprisingly calm.

Although her hands were being held down, her eyes continuously scanned the room.

Suddenly...one of Mr. Philip’s soldiers hurried inside, worry clearly visible in his eyes.

He immediately walked toward Mr. Philip and leaned closer before whispering something into his ear.

However, Ivy’s hearing was sharp enough for her to catch every word.

"They’ve discovered the storage area... and they’re already inside the building."

Ivy’s lips immediately curled into a faint smirk and without wasting any time, Ivy suddenly rose to her feet.

The soldiers holding her were caught off guard by the sudden movement but before they could react, Ivy reached for the sword hanging from Mr. Philip’s waist.

She snatched it away in one swift movement.

Then, with one hand, she grabbed Anya and pulled her toward her while positioning the sword directly against Mr. Philip’s neck.

Several of his soldiers immediately raised their weapons but before they could come closer....

"You’d better stay back," Ivy warned, her voice cold and serious. "Or your boss will die under this sword."

Mr. Philip’s eyes widened but then despite Ivy’s warning, a few of them still dared to move forward, their swords aimed directly at her.

However, before they could reach her...Several sharp pins suddenly flew through the air.

They struck the soldiers directly in the neck making the men collapse almost instantly.

Anya lowered her hand slowly, her expression completely calm.

"You all really think we’re weak women, huh?"

She raised an eyebrow before letting out a scoff, folding her arms across her chest.

"We’re just acting for you guys."

Her gaze swept across the remaining soldiers.

"Even after seeing how we eliminated those monsters downstairs, you still thought we were weak?"

She shook her head with a mocking smile.

"You’re all incredibly stupid."

Mr. Philip’s expression darkened.

"Let go of me right now, or you’ll regret it," he threatened with a scoff. "These aren’t the only soldiers I have."

He glanced toward the people surrounding them before continuing.

"And mind you, have you forgotten where you are?"

His lips curled into a sinister smile.

"You’re standing in the middle of humans who eat human flesh."

He deliberately emphasized his words.

"All I have to do is give them one command, and they’ll pounce on both of you. You’ll be eaten alive before you even have the chance to fight back."

"Oh, really?"

A voice suddenly came from the entrance making mr Philip’s expression change while everyone also turn toward the doorway.

Erick stood there while Darren, Elliot, and several soldiers stood behind him, their weapons already drawn.

Outside the building, more soldiers had already dealt with the guards and soldiers stationed around the entrance.

Mr. Philip’s eyes narrowed.

"Good that you’re here, then."

His voice was filled with anger.

"You’ll all be eaten."

He paused before letting out a sinister laugh.

"We can all die together."

Mr. Philip suddenly reached into his pocket and pulled out a whistle.

He placed it against his lips and blew hard.

A sharp whistle echoed throughout the building and the sound immediately caught the attention of the humans who have been eating human flesh.

One by one, they turned their heads and their eyes landed on Ivy, Anya, Erick, Darren, Elliot, and the soldiers and without wasting much time, they began running toward them.

The sight made Ivy’s expression turn cold while she tightened her grip around the sword.

"Kill them all," Ivy commanded, her voice sharp and authoritative.

The soldiers immediately raised their weapons.

"Leave them half-dead," she added, her eyes narrowing dangerously. "The monsters outside can still feed on their bodies."

The soldiers understood immediately.

"Yes, Captain!"

The next second...

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Gunshots rang throughout the building while swords clashed as well as arrows sliced through the air.

The cannibals screamed as the soldiers charged forward, meeting them head-on.
