Ivy slowly stepped out from behind the tree, her gaze sweeping over the fallen monsters.

The terrible smell of their blood filled the air, thick and pungent enough to make Ivy and the others instinctively cover their noses. However, covering their noses with their hands did little to block the stench. The foul odor still seeped through, making their stomachs churn and their brows furrow in disgust.

But at this moment, they knew they had more important things to worry about than the unbearable smell.

They had to survive.

Just as Ivy and the others finished killing the four monsters surrounding them, the loud growls of other monsters suddenly echoed through the area.

Ivy’s expression immediately hardened.

The monsters had clearly been attracted by the sharp, pungent smell of their kind’s blood.

One growl was followed by another, then several more, until the terrifying sounds seemed to come from every direction. The monsters were already making their way toward their location.

"Just how many monsters have we killed today?" Anya asked, raising an eyebrow while keeping her gaze fixed on the direction where the approaching monsters were expected to appear.

Her chest rose and fell heavily from exhaustion, but she still maintained a firm grip on her weapon.

"It is uncountable," Erick replied immediately, letting out a tired scoff. "I was counting before, but I’ve already lost count."

He glanced at the blood-covered surroundings before shaking his head.

"Rather than wasting our time counting the monsters we’ve killed, it’s better to worry about staying alive. There are still more of them coming."

The others nodded in agreement.

Without wasting any more time, they continued using their cold weapons to annihilate the monsters that charged toward them.

The battle continued for what seemed like an eternity.

Every time they thought they had cleared the area, another group of monsters would emerge from the surrounding streets, drawn toward the battlefield by the smell of blood. Their roars reverberated through the abandoned buildings as Ivy and the others fought without giving them a chance to surround them.

Ivy remained vigilant throughout the battle, constantly scanning their surroundings while attacking any monster that came within her range.

Her movements were swift and precise.

Whenever one of the monsters attempted to sneak up on someone from behind, Ivy would notice it immediately and eliminate the threat before it could cause any casualties.

The others also fought desperately, knowing that hesitation could cost them their lives.

By the time the final monster collapsed to the ground, the entire target area was covered with the bodies of the creatures they had annihilated.

More than three hundred monsters had been killed.

For the first time since entering the target area, the surroundings finally became quiet.

Their first victory in the target area had been achieved.

Anya lowered her weapon, her shoulders sagging as she struggled to catch her breath. She wiped the sweat from her forehead and glanced around at the countless monster corpses scattered across the area.

"I guess we’re done here," she said between heavy breaths.

After taking a few seconds to regain her strength, Anya turned toward Ivy.

"Is there still more evolution liquid?" she asked. "I’d like to purchase another bottle."

Ivy nodded in response.

"There’s still some left."

She reached into a box where she had stored some and took out a bottle of evolution liquid before handing it to Anya.

Anya quickly took out the required crystal cores and handed them over to Ivy in exchange.

She purchased the evolution liquid from Ivy at one-fifth of the price Antelope Base charged for it in crystal cores. Despite the reduced price, the transaction was still extremely cost-effective for Dawn Base, especially considering how valuable evolution liquid had become during the apocalypse.

Anya carefully stored the bottle away.

"Thank you," she said sincerely, a faint smile appearing on her exhausted face.

Ivy simply nodded.

Just then, Justin approached Ivy.

Ivy’s gaze was fixed on a distant area as she continued scanning their surroundings, trying to determine the next suitable location where they could set up traps.

However, Justin’s approaching footsteps caught her attention, causing her to turn toward him.

"You said you’ll provide supplies for every base that decides to work with you," Justin began, his tone serious.

Ivy raised an eyebrow.

"That’s right."

"I need an evolution liquid and some sacks of rice for my soldiers," Justin continued. "They’ve been fighting monsters since morning, and they’ve already exhausted a lot of their energy. They need something to replenish their strength before we continue."

Ivy did not hesitate.

"Sure. You can take one bottle of the evolution liquid from the carton in the truck and take a bag of rice as well. Just make your payment for the evolution liquid as it isn’t free."

Justin’s eyes flashed with surprise at how readily she agreed.

"Thank you."

He offered Ivy a slight bow before turning around and leaving to collect the supplies.

Ivy watched him for a moment before turning her attention back toward the distant area.

There were still plenty of things they needed to deal with.

She was about to continue scanning the surroundings when a familiar mechanical voice suddenly sounded inside her mind.

"Ding!"

Ivy paused.

"Huh? What is it again?" she wondered inwardly, her eyes widening slightly with curiosity.

She was not expecting another mission to appear, especially after everything they had accomplished today.

"Please don’t tell me it’s another mission," Ivy muttered inwardly.

{Congratulations, Host. The Alliance Trade has generated a massive amount of Prosperity Points for you.}

Ivy’s eyes lit up immediately.

"Oh, that’s nice," she replied, a satisfied smile spreading across her face.

She had invested a considerable amount of resources into establishing the alliance and opening up trade between the bases. Seeing the Alliance Trade generate a massive amount of Prosperity Points made her feel that all her efforts had finally begun to pay off.

She thought for a moment before asking curiously,

"Are the points enough to purchase something like a drone?"

Ivy paused briefly before adding inwardly, "I’m not interested in knowing the exact number of points I have. Just tell me whether I have enough to purchase the drones."

"Ding!"

{Your points can be exchanged for thirty drones. Do you want to purchase them?}

Ivy’s eyes widened.

"Thirty?"

She could barely hide her excitement.

That was far more than she had expected.

A determined expression appeared on her face as she immediately made her decision.

"Yes. Exchange them."

Her voice was firm, leaving no room for hesitation.
