Apocalypse: Rebirth With An Infinite Storage System
Chapter 282 Who even made them warriors?
"Arrrrrgh!"
The loud cries of the three ladies soon filled the air as Ivy continued delivering heavy punches to their faces and bodies.
Punch! Thud!
"Ahhh!"
"Please!"
"Stop!"
Their cries echoed through the corridor, but Ivy showed no signs of stopping.
The soldier could only keep mute, his mouth hanging open in shock as he continued watching Ivy.
Ivy was beating three trained female soldiers as though they were nothing more than punching bags.
Blood soon covered the ladies’ faces, staining their lips and dripping down their chins. Two of them were already vomiting blood, their bodies trembling from the force of the blows, yet Ivy continued hitting them hard.
She grabbed one of them by the front of her clothes and delivered another punch.
"Ugh!"
The woman staggered backward, nearly losing her balance.
"Go get a job if you don’t have one and stop being useless," Ivy finally voiced, slight anger evident in her tone as she delivered another punch.
"You have enough energy to gossip about other people, yet you can’t use that same energy for something productive?"
Punch!
The woman cried out again.
"You’re warriors, aren’t you?" Ivy continued, her voice cold. "Then act like warriors instead of standing around discussing other people’s private lives."
Another heavy blow landed.
The woman’s legs finally gave out, and she collapsed unconscious onto the floor.
The other two women stared at her in horror.
"Please..."
One of them immediately dropped to her knees, raising both hands protectively in front of her face.
"Please, free me," she begged, her voice barely more than a whisper.
Ivy stared down at her.
"Free you?"
The woman nodded frantically.
"Yes... please."
Instead of answering, Ivy delivered another heavy punch directly to her face.
Bang!
The woman fell backward, losing consciousness instantly.
Before Ivy could deliver another heavy punch to the third woman, however, the woman fainted immediately.
She simply collapsed onto the floor.
Ivy paused.
She stared at the unconscious woman for a few seconds before letting out a scoff.
"Hmph."
She finally straightened up, standing to her full height as she looked down at the three unconscious women.
"Who even made them warriors?" Ivy asked with obvious seriousness etched into her tone.
"If they’re so good at gossiping, then they should stay at home doing chores instead. They’re completely useless here."
The soldier remained silent.
There was absolutely nothing he could say to that.
He had watched the entire thing from beginning to end, and he wasn’t foolish enough to argue with Ivy right now.
After a moment, he turned around and called for three other soldiers.
"You three, come here!"
Three soldiers soon walked into the toilet.
Their eyes widened when they saw the three unconscious women lying on the floor but then they didn’t ask any questions as they already knew what happened.
They quickly carried the unconscious women out of the toilet, leaving only Ivy and the soldier who had originally come to check on her.
Ivy glanced at the empty corridor before stepping out of the toilet.
She didn’t bother looking back.
Instead, she walked toward the far end of the fifth-floor corridor and took a seat.
The soldier followed her and remained standing beside her.
Ivy leaned back slightly against the walll all while she couldn’t help but feel irritated.
"You can leave now," Ivy finally said.
She reached for a bottle of water from the refrigerator that had been placed on the fifth floor.
After twisting the cap open, she raised the bottle to her lips and gulped down several mouthfuls.
The cool water slid down her throat, helping to calm her slightly.
"I’m fine," she added, lowering the bottle.
There was no response.
Ivy frowned.
The soldier remained standing beside her.
She slowly looked up at him but he doesn’t seem to have any intention of leaving.
"I said you can leave now," Ivy repeated, raising an eyebrow. "Or is there something else?"
Instead of answering, the soldier simply sat down beside Ivy.
Ivy blinked.
Now what the actual fuck?
She swallowed hard and stared at him.
Why was he sitting there? She had already told him she was fine.
Just then, something caught her attention.
A faint blue light suddenly appeared above the soldier’s head.
Ivy’s eyes widened.
She stared at it for a few seconds, pure curiosity filling her eyes.
What... is that?
Her mind immediately began racing.
Then, as she looked at the soldier again, another realization struck her.
What am I even thinking right now?
She lowered her gaze all while she mentally facepalmed herself.
He’s Albert, for goodness’ sake! The same Albert who helped me during the apocalypse before.
Her expression changed slightly.
I couldn’t even talk to him properly at Diamond Base after he helped deal with those men who were harassing the girls.
She sighed inwardly.
And now I want to chase him away? I’m so stupid.
Ivy rubbed her forehead.
I should ask him what his name is, right?
Ivy glanced sideways at him.
I mean, there’s nothing wrong with trying to confirm things again. Her eyes narrowed slightly. I can’t just call him Albert when I know he never told me his name. That would be suspicious.
