Outside, in front of the collapsed rock, Mitch and Jack were heaving a large stone together.

"One, two, three—lift!"

The rock shifted just enough to open a narrow gap. Mitch was already gasping and waved for a break.

"Keep going, Mitch."

Alex leaned against the wall chewing a biscuit.

"Two minutes!"

Mitch wiped sweat from his forehead and was about to sit when he suddenly froze, ear pressed to the gap in the stones.

The chamber inside was quiet—but the cave-in hadn’t sealed completely. Sound carried with perfect clarity.

Rip—

The violent sound of fabric tearing came through clearly.

Right after it came Ray’s rough, gravel-edged breathing, forced down to the absolute limit... and a soft, unmistakably intimate sound of pleasure that drifted straight through the crack.

Mitch’s hands froze on the rock.

Jack, still holding a stone, stared with round eyes.

The biscuit in Alex’s mouth dropped to the ground with a soft plop.

Three grown men looked at one another. Their expressions shifted from shock to distortion to complete, disbelieving collapse.

"Fuck..." Mitch swallowed hard and swore under his breath, face flushing the color of a monkey’s backside.

"What the hell is Ray doing in there?"

Theo had appeared at some point, toolbox in hand.

He glanced through the gap over the rims of his glasses, a knowing, mocking curve touching his mouth.

"From the sound of it, Ray’s injury is healing quite nicely."

Ace leaned against the opposite wall, idly turning a thin branch between his fingers. His peach-blossom eyes held a meaningful smile.

"One person can’t treat that type of wound properly. It takes two working together."

Another low, strained groan from a man came from inside.

Mitch’s eyes nearly popped. "That’s treating a wound? With those sounds? Does Ray have a death wish?!"

Alex picked up the fallen biscuit, shoved it back into his mouth, and chewed with pointed sourness. "Treating a wound requires taking clothes off? Sounds more like treating a fire to me."

May’s voice drifted out again, faintly aggrieved and urgent: "Ray... you’re seriously too intense..."

The moment those words reached them, every face outside changed at once.

The stone in Jack’s hands slipped and crashed onto his own foot. He grimaced in pain and finally managed to squeeze out.

"W-why is... why is it so big...?"

Mitch’s mind roared. He kicked the rock hard and snarled:

"Hey, shut your mouth! It’s obviously a zombie that got its claws in Ray’s leg! May is helping him!"

Theo added coolly, "If a zombie could make a man produce those particular sounds, it should change its name to a Walking Pleasure."

Ace’s fingers stilled on the branch. A dark glint flashed through his bright eyes. He straightened and walked toward the pile of collapsed stone, voice completely even.

"Move faster. If we don’t get this open soon, they’ll be finished with the real business inside."

The rapid, urgent breathing and the soft friction of bodies from within hammered against the chests of the men outside like repeated blows—doubling the strength they put into every stone they moved.

Ray’s chest rose and fell heavily, every breath burning with heat.

The arms wrapped tightly around May’s waist felt like iron bands, holding her so firmly that a strange, tingling sweetness seemed to spread through her very bones.

"Do you want it?"

His voice was low and hoarse. Every word brushed against May’s ear, warm breath following close behind.

The sensation traveled straight through her, sending her heartbeat into a frantic rhythm.

May bit down on her lower lip, the corners of her eyes glistening with moisture. Her breathing had long since lost its steady rhythm.

How could she possibly answer?

The last thread of reason in her mind had already snapped under the intensity of the man holding her.

She didn’t even dare nod. All she could manage was a soft, breathy sound as she instinctively curled closer against his chest, her body going limp in his arms.

Ray didn’t waste another word. He lowered his head, his heated lips tracing a path along May’s neck before moving lower...

Ray was really...

A loud explosion seemed to go off inside May’s head, leaving her mind completely blank.

How was this possible?

Usually, this man looked so serious and restrained that even holding hands seemed enough to make him blush. Yet now...

Where had he learned all this? She was going to lose her mind.

Ray suddenly paused and looked at her.

In the dim light, his eyes were startlingly bright, filled with undisguised desire and a wild intensity he was no longer trying to hide.

"This is my first time."

His voice dropped even lower, carrying the stubborn determination of someone who had finally stopped trying to restrain himself.

"I can’t wait until we get out."

May’s mind went completely blank.

First time?

Before she could even process the shocking revelation, Ray had already moved again.

His rough palm supported the back of her head, his movements carrying a strange mixture of caution and stubborn determination, as though once he had made up his mind, nothing could make him stop.

"I’ll be gentle."

He clenched his jaw, sounding almost as though he were warning himself rather than reassuring her.

A moment later...

May could no longer hold back a soft sound. The sensation was a confusing mixture of discomfort and overwhelming unfamiliarity.

Ray’s breathing grew increasingly ragged. The two of them remained locked tightly in each other’s arms...

"Bang!"

Outside the collapsed section of the bunker, a tremendous noise suddenly interrupted the men who were clearing away the rubble.

Mitch kicked the nearby concrete pillar, the veins on his closely cropped head throbbing with fury.

He grabbed onto a narrow gap between the rocks that had not yet been completely sealed. His eyes widened so dramatically they looked ready to pop out, his face turning bright red like a crab straight out of a boiling pot.

"Holy shit! They really did it!"

Mitch’s voice was loud enough to make everyone’s ears ring, disbelief and outrage practically pouring from every word.

"That shameless bastard! He actually went and did it in there?!"
