Apocalypse Rebirth: Making Billions With My Fortune-Telling Skill
Chapter 272: Take All Three Of Them At Once
April blinked, her head shaking slowly, almost instinctively.
A relationship? She hadn’t even processed that far. She hadn’t built plans for titles, formal commitments, or domestic futures—not with the world ending, and certainly not when her emotions were still as erratic as a storm.
Especially when she had no idea what the system was planning.
For now, she simply wanted to feel this warmth, to stop fighting the electric pull her body had been craving.
Nat let out a dark, booming laugh from right behind her ear, his broad chest vibrating against her back.
"Sweetheart, you really are a wild card, aren’t you?" Nat growled with a wicked, thoroughly amused smirk, running a heavy hand over his jaw. "Most women would be demanding exclusivity or a ring, but you? You just want the good parts without the administrative headache."
He tightened his grip on her waist, his eyes flashing with a brazen, sharp glint as he looked between Xavier and Alexander.
"So," Nat drawled, his tone dripping with sheer provocation, "is this a foursome then? Yeah... it’s definitely a foursome."
Alexander’s shoulders visibly trembled, a sudden, breathy laugh escaping his chest as a dark flush crept up his neck. The sheer, wild absurdity of the thought sent a jolt straight through him, his mind short-circuiting for a brief second.
Across the table, Xavier’s composure collapsed completely. A bright, unmistakable crimson spread rapidly to the tips of his ears. Never in his wildest dreams had the refined, highly disciplined tycoon of the Reed empire ever pictured himself in such a scandalous scenario... but as his eyes flicked over to April, a quiet, ruthless resolve settled beneath his embarrassment.
If that was what April wanted, he would adapt.
April, however, simply sat frozen between them, her eyes blinking in utter, profound bewilderment.
"A... foursome?" April repeated, her brow furrowing deeply. "What’s a foursome?"
At first, they thought she was joking, but she looked at them, seriously waiting for an explanation.
Alexander broke first, burying his face in his hand as his broad shoulders shook even more with unrestrained, breathless laughter. How is she so innocent?
Xavier looked like he wanted to sink straight through the marble floor, clearing his throat awkwardly and adjusting his cuffs to hide his deep crimson flush. I am seeing more sides I didn’t even know she had.
Nat cackled loudly, the rich sound echoing off the floor-to-ceiling glass. He reached down, interlocking his long fingers firmly with hers, and leaned forward until his lips were practically pressing against the shell of her ear.
"That means, sweetheart," Nat whispered, his low, rasping voice sending a violent shudder straight down her spine, "you want to take all three of us at once."
April’s brain literally blew a gasket.
Her mind went completely, terrifyingly blank. Nat had whispered in her ear dozens of times before, but never—never—had her blood spiked this violently. The heat in her face flared so hot she felt like she was standing in front of a furnace.
But besides that, what did he mean by his words?
Take all three of them at once?! Take what?! How?!
She felt shame crash over her as she realized just how blissfully, hopelessly oblivious she was.
Back in her past life, every waking second after the apocalypse began had been spent clawing for food, avoiding zombies, and trying not to die.
In this life, her free time had been consumed by hoarding, building, and watching movies with Emily after they reunited. But those movies were either filled with action moments and surface-level romance—PG-13 stories that cut to black the moment two characters stepped into a bedroom!
They never went into detail regarding actual, physical sex! Should she have checked at least? But she never predicted that she would actually practice it so it never crossed her mind to look up research materials.
She was the master of an infinite spatial dimension, a strategist, and an untouchable force—yet right now, she felt like a total fool.
"I’m ashamed to call myself smart," April muttered, her voice dropping into a humiliated, muffled squeak as she buried her burning face directly into Nat’s shoulder, "when I don’t even know what you’re talking about..."
Nat’s chest heaved as he let out another deep, rumble of laughter, the vibration buzzing directly against her burning forehead where she stayed firmly buried against his suit jacket.
He wrapped both arms around her, pulling her completely onto his lap like a prized, flustered treasure he had no intention of releasing.
"Don’t go hiding now, sweetheart," Nat purred, his large hand gently stroking the back of her hair, though his eyes glinted with absolute, ruthless delight. "You were so bold a second ago testing out kisses and making declarations. You can’t retreat into my shoulder now just because the vocabulary caught up to you."
Alexander finally managed to drag his hand down his face, though his shoulders were still shaking with lingering laughter. His blue eyes softened into pure, unadulterated fondness as he looked at her hiding form.
"April," he murmured softly, leaning his arms on the table as a warm, breathtaking smile broke across his face. "You don’t need to feel ashamed. Honestly, it’s... endearing."
"It is a completely understandable blind spot," Xavier added, his voice surprisingly gentle despite the flush still staining the tips of his ears. He took a slow sip of his water, using the cool glass to regain every shred of his corporate composure before looking over at her. "Your entire existence has been focused on survival, logistical preparations, and protection. It is only natural that theoretical intimate mechanics were not a priority on your agenda."
April groaned louder into Nat’s shoulder, her fingers clutching his lapels tightly. "You’re not helping, Xavier. You sound like you’re delivering a lecture on my lack of research."
"I am simply stating facts," Xavier replied, though the faint curve of a smirk touched the corner of his lips. "Though... if you require ’research materials’ or practical demonstrations to bridge the gap in your knowledge, I am certain none of us would object to assisting you."
"Reed, shut up," Nat barked with a dark grin, tightening his arms around April’s waist as if shielding her from Xavier’s words. "Don’t go acting like a professor now just because you want a turn."
He tilted his head down, pressing his lips lightly against the crown of April’s head, his voice dropping into a low, possessive murmur. "Take all the time you need, sweetheart. We can take things one step at a time. A kiss here, a touch there... until your sharp little brain finally figures out the rest."
