Apocalypse Online: Regression of SSS-Class Summoner
Chapter 292: Cold
"O frozen land, heed my call. Gather the eternal frost and rise beyond the reach of mortal hands. From the depths of the glacial abyss, awaken thy colossal form and become the guardian that shall crush all who stand before me!"
The moment Enzo finished his chant, the glacial terrain beneath him began to tremble.
The ice covering the ground suddenly began to gather toward a single point, converging in front of Enzo as an enormous amount of mana poured into the frozen terrain.
The surrounding temperature plummeted even further.
Even the Glacial Spears scattered across the battlefield began to crumble, their fragments drawn toward the gathering mass of ice.
A gigantic silhouette slowly took shape.
First came its legs, each one thicker than an ancient tree, followed by its enormous torso and broad shoulders. Layers upon layers of ice compressed against one another, forming a massive body that continued to grow in size.
Its arms were particularly enormous, capable of crushing anything caught between them.
Then, the ice around its head began to gather, forming a helmet-like structure with two glowing blue eyes that illuminated the frozen battlefield.
The ground shook as the gigantic ice guardian finally stood upright.
Its body towered over the surrounding terrain, its colossal frame casting a shadow over the battlefield. Frost continuously flowed across its surface, reinforcing its already formidable body, while sharp ice formations protruded from its shoulders and forearms.
Unlike the ordinary ice constructs Enzo had created before, this one possessed an entirely different level of toughness.
Glacial Authority took effect the moment the guardian was formed, hardening every layer of ice that made up its body.
The compressed frost became so dense that even the slightest attempt to break through it would require an enormous amount of mana.
And yet, the spell had not stopped there.
The gigantic guardian slowly lowered its head.
Its glowing blue eyes flickered.
Then, as though a dormant existence had finally awakened after countless years of slumber, it moved its enormous arms and clenched its fists, releasing a thunderous noise.
The mere movement of its body caused the surrounding ice to tremble, sending countless fragments scattering across the frozen terrain.
A gigantic ice guardian had come to life.
It was Enzo’s A-rank spell—Titan of Ice.
When the Ashen Orc’s eyes landed on the Titan of Ice, it felt as though it were staring at a powerful foe.
The Ashen Orc flew into a rage.
It could not believe that it was being threatened by a creature made out of a spell.
The Titan of Ice suddenly charged toward the Ashen Orc, and the latter responded by raising its Abyssal Great Axe.
The Ashen Orc lowered its body and charged directly toward the Titan of Ice.
Taking advantage of its immense physical strength and momentum, it raised its enormous great axe and swung it toward the Titan of Ice.
The Ashen Orc had completely neglected Enzo.
This was mainly because Enzo’s Glacial Spears could not pierce its tough body.
It was only threatened by Enzo’s Frozen Kingdom and Titan of Ice.
It believed that Enzo did not possess any other powerful offensive spells.
Hence, it did not notice Enzo stealthily chanting Blizzard Dominion.
If Frozen Kingdom froze the terrain into ice, Blizzard Dominion affected the sky and the air.
Enzo chanted Blizzard Dominion to its absolute limits, manifesting a massive, almost inconspicuous magic circle above the battlefield.
Only monsters that had thoroughly studied magic could perceive it.
The Ashen Orc could not. It mainly relied on its physical strength to fight against other creatures.
The Ashen Orc’s Abyssal Great Axe successfully cleaved through the Titan of Ice’s right limb, proving that it was dominant in close combat.
However, to the Ashen Orc’s surprise, the Titan of Ice’s severed right limb flew back toward its body, instantly recovering from its grave injury.
The Titan of Ice raised its enormous fist and punched the Ashen Orc squarely in the face, causing it to stagger backward.
The Ashen Orc was stunned.
Suddenly, a grin broke across its face.
This is more like it!
Invigorated, the Ashen Orc began fighting against the Titan of Ice.
The Ashen Orc successfully severed the Titan of Ice’s limbs from time to time, but they quickly regenerated.
Eventually, the Ashen Orc noticed something was wrong with its surroundings.
What is this?
It did not know what snow was.
However, the Ashen Orc finally became certain that the Titan of Ice’s absurd recovery rate was mainly due to the snowflakes in its surroundings.
Its eyes landed on Enzo, who continued chanting.
It roared, finally understanding that it was being played by a mere human not far away.
Boom!
A powerful punch struck its face, snapping it out of its thoughts.
A bruise emerged on its cheek.
It spat out the blood in its mouth and severed the Titan of Ice’s limbs.
It then focused its attention on Enzo, knowing that it had to defeat him. Otherwise, it would not be able to defeat the Titan of Ice at all.
However, the snowstorm had already intensified.
Visibility dropped significantly.
Aside from the Titan of Ice, not even its own legion could be seen.
What is this?!
The Ashen Orc had many questions in its head, visibly confused.
Boom!
Another punch snapped it out of its thoughts, seemingly not allowing it to think at all.
Enraged, it continued fighting against the Titan of Ice, knowing that the human would eventually run out of mana.
It was confident in its physique and believed it could withstand whatever the human threw at it until he ran out of mana, giving it a chance to take him down.
An hour later, the snowstorm had intensified to twice the intensity of the snowstorm that had taken down five B-rank Ashen Orcs.
At this moment, the Ashen Orc’s movements began to slow down.
It had not noticed it before and simply thought that it was running out of stamina.
The Titan of Ice continued reacting to its attacks, evading and even counterattacking, causing countless bruises to appear across its body.
Cold. The Ashen Orc thought. I feel cold.
Not only had its body slowed down, but its thought processes and decision-making had also deteriorated considerably...
