The success was contributed to by the Banner of Conquest, Demon-Slaying Ballista, Legendary Guild Mount, Legendary Guild War Banner, Demonbane Aegis Armor, and Demon Gate Suppression Device, which were all provided by Max.

Furthermore, during the simulation, Max was present, and for some strange reason that the former Emperor could not explain, the Demon Hunters appeared to be stronger than before.

There was even a time when the former Emperor saw Max ordering the Demon Hunters to charge, and like them, he suddenly found his combat capabilities increasing.

At the same time, he did not find the demons scary at all.

The strange phenomenon occurred again when Max planted the Banner of Conquest after conquering a part of the Ashen Expanse.

The corruptive nature of the demonic Authority significantly decreased within the Banner of Conquest territory.

The territory even expanded when he and the other commanders planted the Legendary Guild War Banners, amplifying their effects.

Within the Legendary Guild War Banner and Banner of Conquest territories, every member was stronger than before despite being exhausted from the war.

With their Guild Mounts, as well as the Demon-Slaying Ballista and Demonbane Aegis Armor, they eventually conquered a Demon Lord’s territory, marking their first successful conquest.

But of course, it was just a simulation.

Even then, the former Emperor found it plausible that such an event would occur in the future as long as the Demon Hunters Guild’s progression was on the right path.

The former Emperor’s face turned grim.

He had to take his current position seriously.

Any Demon Hunter who graduated from the Demon Hunters Academy, under his responsibility as its Headmaster, must possess not just a decent performance during their stay but a very satisfying result.

Every single one of them must be able to slay a demon of their rank.

Understanding the significance of his position, the former Emperor pondered heavily outside of the Command Simulation Mode, with some students wanting to greet him but refraining after noticing that he was deep in thought.

Eventually, Max came out of the Survival Simulation Mode not far from the former Emperor and greeted the students, who could not restrain their voices.

It was inevitable. They had just met Max, their Guildmaster.

The Legend!

The former Emperor snapped awake and turned toward Max, who was chatting with the students.

Most of the students were much older than Max, while some of the younger ones were shy when greeting him.

However, despite the differences in their ages and personalities, they possessed the same disposition toward Max—adoration.

While gazing at Max, the former Emperor finally understood what it meant to lead.

While it was a shame that Max was only a Commander to his Radiant Knights, leaving the responsibility of commanding some Demon Hunter squads to his commanders, the very fact that a single word from him could compel every Demon Hunter proved that he was indeed a Guildmaster.

A figure worthy of the Emperor’s following.

The former Emperor hated to admit the fact that Max indeed possessed a capability that Emperors like him had failed to achieve, but it was the reality.

While he was lost in thought, Max arrived in front of him and said in a teasing tone, "I’ve completed the Survival Mode."

The former Emperor shrugged.

He was not surprised.

After trying the Command Simulation Mode where Max was leading the Demon Hunters, despite it being just a simulation, he finally understood how much stronger Max was when it came to dealing with demons.

The former Emperor recalled their Ancestor and no longer wondered why his era was considered the golden age of the Empire.

He only knew that he was the strongest human in history, becoming the pride of the Imperial Family.

"But I did not summon my Radiant Knights at all."

The former Emperor was utterly shocked.

He would have believed Max if he told him that he had completed the Survival Mode primarily because of his Radiant Knights.

But to think that he had not used them at all and had simply utilized his Arcane Caster skills...

In the first place, he might just be the only human who could transcend his foundational class.

Every foundational class, whenever a human transcended into a higher class, would have its skills evolved.

However, some could not and simply focused on the skills that the higher class provided for them.

In the first place, they would rather focus on increasing their mastery of the skills they learned after ascending to a higher class.

Yet, Max...

He not only learned every spell from the Arcane class after completing the requirements that Grand Runesmith Arlen had established, but he had even mastered them, evolving them with every class ascension.

In other words, Max was not just a summoner.

He was a mage.

A mage and a summoner—a dual class, so to speak.

The former Emperor was astonished.

Max’s lips curled upward, snapping the former Emperor awake, and he snorted.

He wanted to say something to Max but could not find the right words.

In the end, Max said, "I indeed finished it, but I wasn’t satisfied. I will try again next time."

The former Emperor rolled his eyes.

"Stop setting records that everyone knows they can’t beat."

Max shrugged.

"It’s to boost morale for them.

It would be upsetting if their Guildmaster could be beaten by anyone, right?"

"Fair enough." The former Emperor agreed.

Max’s words were irrefutable.

Max and the former Emperor chatted for a while before the latter bid farewell to Max.

Max turned toward the Command Simulation Mode room and finally ignored it.

His main reason for entering the Survival Mode was to test his strength.

After all, any major changes in his physique in the real world could significantly affect his combat ability in the game.

As expected, after reaching the Peak Reflex Level, he had gained faster combat decision-making, faster spell initiation, faster target acquisition, faster command issuance, better multi-target management, improved defensive timing, better mobile casting, and more efficient battlefield control.

That was why he managed to finish all the missions in the Survival Mode at the highest difficulty.

Albeit, he had struggled very hard.

If it were not for the advantage he had from being a Guildmaster in the simulation mode, like the former Emperor, he would have failed.

At the same time, it was only possible because all his active skills from the Arcane Caster class had reached the Master level...
