She truly deserved the Living Grace. She worked hard for it, not for him but for the common people.

She fully inherited his conviction, "to save someone without permission."

The High Pontiff hoped that Seraphina would grow under Max’s leadership.

Since Max inherited the legacy of the First Emperor, the First sword and shield of humanity, he believed that he could help Seraphina grow.

When Max greeted him, the High Pontiff immediately introduced Seraphina.

"Max. This is Seraphina. She is the youngest Saintess in history.

You know, when she was born..."

The High Pontiff couldn’t bring himself to reminisce and recounted Seraphina’s past.

Seraphina herself might appear calm and composed, but her reddened cheeks emerged like a blush-on.

She felt truly embarrassed.

At the same time, she was delighted that the High Pontiff praised her in his narration.

When the High Pontiff was finished, he said, "I brought her today after we decided that she would become a member of your guild.

I hope she is welcome in your guild."

Max hurriedly replied, "She truly is."

He spared a glance at Seraphina and smiled at her.

"The Demon Hunters Guild welcomed her."

Seraphina bowed at Max. She was already used to others praising her, so it barely had an effect on her.

Max smiled and asked her, "I assume that this is also your decision, right?"

The High Pontiff was surprised. He couldn’t help but smile after knowing that Max really listened to his narration.

Seraphina raised her head and nodded with a solemn expression.

"I have heard that many civilians were affected during the cult’s emergence.

It angers me that the reason behind it is the manipulative demons.

I wish to eradicate them to avoid deluding the common people and killing them mercilessly."

Max nodded. "That is exactly the Demon Hunters Guild’s mission."

He gestured to Lancelot, and the latter stepped forward and bowed towards her after greeting the High Pontiff first.

Max said, "This is our other member, Lancelot.

We are only three at the moment."

Seraphina nodded. "I understand that the Demon Hunters Guild has just been proposed."

Max smiled. "Yes. For now, please wait for further announcement.

I hope you will be ready in three months. We will be actively fighting demons in the border by then."

Seraphina was surprised. She gripped her sacred staff tightly.

"Mhm." She nodded.

It was not surprising that she felt anxious fighting against demons.

Despite studying their nature from their library, encountering one would truly frighten her.

But for the sake of protecting the common people? She was willing to fight against her fears.

Suddenly, a hand landed on her shoulder. It was from the High Pontiff.

She turned towards the High Pontiff, who was talking to Max.

"Don’t worry, Max. I will train her, so she won’t be a burden to you."

Max smiled. "Thank you, High Pontiff."

The High Pontiff was already nearing the end of his lifespan.

Judging by how Seraphina stared at him, it was obvious how the High Pontiff doted on her deeply and taught her everything she needed before he departed into the afterlife.

He believed that the High Pontiff could truly train Seraphina to fight against demons.

The High Pontiff must have dealt with a lot of demons in the past.

Max chatted with the High Pontiff for a while, until the High Pontiff dismissed himself, leaving behind Seraphina with Max and Lancelot.

He wished Seraphina would gain a lot of friends who shared the same common interest as her.

Seraphina watched the High Pontiff’s departing figure.

For some reason, a sense of sadness gripped her heart.

"Seraphina."

A warm voice called her behind.

She turned towards Max and Lancelot, and for some reason, she felt like she was seeing the figures who became the turning point of her life.

Max said, "I am Maximus Grant, the Guild Leader of the Demon Hunters Guild.

Lancelot here is the current Vice Guild Leader."

Lancelot was stunned. "Am I not the permanent Vice Guild Leader?"

Max shrugged. "That depends on your future performance."

Lancelot was taken aback. He hurriedly assured Max. "I definitely won’t disappoint you.

That includes you, Seraphina."

Seraphina was in a daze.

Lancelot and Max stared at her until she finally snapped into reality and nodded.

"Mhm. I’ll be in your care."

She was surprised that those words came out of her mouth.

However, Max and Lancelot did not notice her reaction and assured her instead.

Max said, "Likewise. We’ll be under your care."

Lancelot lifted his chin high and patted his chest. "We’ll take care of you, Seraphina."

Suddenly, his expression turned fierce and his eyes burned with fervent passion.

"And we’ll fight against demons."

He raised his hand. "For glory!"

Seraphina nodded. "For God."

Max stared at them and felt strange about their words.

It seemed they were expressing their oaths.

Seeing him not responding, Lancelot and Seraphina stared at him.

Max smiled. "For the extinction of the demon race."

His expression turned grave.

"We’ll annihilate those who threatened us and our family."

His cold voice sent a chill to those who witnessed the founders of the Demon Hunters Guild’s oath.

At the same time, the scribes, who were responsible for recording the events, were thrilled and immediately recorded their words in their mind.

They believed it would be groundbreaking news.

As if the surprising creation of the Demon Hunters Guild wasn’t enough, the founding members consisted of powerful figures.

A young Blade Saint. A young inheritor of the First Emperor’s legacy. The youngest Saintess in history.

The Demon Hunters Guild was destined to bloom.

Now, the question they had in their mind became the headline of the topic.

"Will the Demon Hunters Guild truly accomplish their Mission and Vision?

Is the Golden Generation about to descend?"

Because of the huge influx of adventurers in every frontier settlement from different provinces and their exceptional potential, most of the nobles believed that the golden generation had finally arrived.

And the three figures in front of them seemed to be leading them..
