Apocalypse Online: I Awaken the Ultimate Bloodline
Chapter 90: Herbal Sight I
Chapter 90: The Herbal Sight.
THUD!
Lothe and Seana tumbled out of the spatial void, landing heavily against the damp soil deep within the forest, several kilometers away from the battleground.
"Huff... huff... huff..."
Lothe’s breath came in ragged, wheezing gasps. His face was devoid of color, pale as ash, and his limbs felt as heavy as lead.
He had pushed his Soul Energy far beyond its safe threshold.
Constructing that composite Qi-Locking Array in the middle of active combat should have been an absolute impossibility for a cultivator at his realm.
Yet through sheer stubbornness, he had overridden that limit—weaving the ancient primordial runes, his spatial folding principles, and his dwindling Soul Energy into a lethal trap.
Worse still, he had embedded razor-sharp Spatial Blades directly into the runic conduits and concealed the Convergence Rune at its core as an insurance policy.
If that green-robed woman attempted to shatter the formation with brute force, the array would devour her incoming energy, compress it, and weaponize it against Situ Li. Even if it couldn’t kill a Nascent Soul cultivator, it would buy them the precious seconds needed to escape.
The strategy had worked flawlessly.
The cost, however, was catastrophic.
Lothe’s knees buckled, and he collapsed toward the dirt.
"Lothe!"
Seana caught him before he hit the ground, supporting his dead weight against her shoulder. Her heart tightened in alarm. "What’s wrong? Where does it hurt?"
She grabbed his right wrist, pressing two fingers firmly against his pulse point while injecting a gentle thread of Crimson Blood Qi into his meridians.
The instant her Qi crossed into his body, her expression shifted dramatically.
His internal energy was churning like a stormy sea. His spiritual foundation was groaning under severe structural strain. Worst of all, his once-vibrant soul aura had withered into a flickering, dying ember.
"The array..." Seana immediately pieced it together, her voice trembling slightly. "You completely drained your soul foundation."
Lothe didn’t answer. He couldn’t.
Dark static buzzed across his vision, his consciousness growing heavier by the second.
Seana gritted her teeth. Her current cultivation and alchemy mastery weren’t advanced enough to directly repair soul trauma. But she could stabilize his physical body and nourish his vitality to keep his foundation from collapsing entirely!
"Little Fox."
Seana cupped his face with both hands, forcing him to look directly into her eyes.
"Look at me."
Lothe’s heavy eyelids fluttered open, his dark pupils struggling to focus on her face.
"Can you hold on?" Her voice was soft, laced with gentle warmth, yet carried an unyielding command
. "Just a little longer, alright? Don’t you dare close your eyes."
Lothe stared into her dark, expressive eyes for a few seconds. With immense effort, he gave a faint, almost imperceptible nod.
"Good."
Seana gently lowered him against the trunk of a broad oak tree, placing multiple protective talismans around his perimeter.
She turned toward the surrounding wilderness.
There had to be something here.
Long before the apocalypse transformed the world, her grandmother had taught her how to forage for traditional medicinal herbs. She had spent countless childhood summers roaming deep mountain forests, searching beneath rotting logs, between stone crevices, and inside thorny brambles for plants with healing properties.
Now, combined with her SSS-rank Alchemy talent and enhanced spiritual perception, that childhood knowledge roared to life.
She narrowed her eyes, sweeping her gaze across the dense forest floor.
Every mossy patch. Every twisting vine. Every patch of wild grass.
Then—a faint, luminescent shimmer caught her attention between two thorny bushes.
A small, delicate flower bloomed in the shade, its petals glowing with faint silver light. Seana crouched down, leaning in close. Through her spiritual focus, she could distinctly see microscopic streams of radiant energy circulating through the stem and petals like biological meridians.
What is this...?
PING!
[PASSIVE ABILITY AWAKENED!]
• Ability Name: [Herbal Sight]
• Description: Allows the host to perceive internal energy flows within medicinal herbs and flora, instantly identifying their medicinal properties, grade, and alchemical compatibility.
• Growth Potential: Evolves alongside the host’s innate Blood Manipulation and Alchemy Mastery.
Seana’s eyes widened in realization. She immediately focused her new sight on the silver flower.

Seana’s face lit up. "This will help him!"
She carefully harvested the flower at its base, preserving its root integrity, before sweeping her [Herbal Sight] across the clearing.
Instantly, the entire forest transformed into a living apothecary!
Hidden beneath the roots of an old pine:
[HERBAL SIGHT]
• Name: Verdant Thread Grass
• Grade: Common Spirit Herb
• Properties: Rich in gentle life energy; dramatically accelerates cellular and tissue regeneration.
Seana plucked it cleanly.
A few meters away, coating the damp underside of a mossy boulder:
[HERBAL SIGHT]
• Name: Silverleaf Moss
• Grade: Advanced Spirit Herb
• Properties: Absorbs ambient spiritual Qi and converts it into a gentle restorative aura; exceptional alchemical stabilizer.
"A natural stabilizer!" Seana harvested several clumps with practiced speed.
Near the banks of a nearby trickling stream, she spotted a cluster of dark-blue leaves shimmering with morning dew:
[HERBAL SIGHT]
• Name: Azure Dewleaf
• Grade: Advanced Spirit Herb
• Properties: Cools internal meridian heat and suppresses violent Qi inflammation.
"This won’t directly heal Little Fox right now, but it’s invaluable for cooling elixirs," she muttered, carefully stowing a handful into her spatial storage.
Her search continued deeper into the thicket.
Suddenly, her breath caught.
Coiling around the trunk of a massive fallen cedar was a thick, crimson vine. Its aerial roots were exposed, pulsing with rhythmic red light like living blood vessels.
[HERBAL SIGHT]
• Name: Bloodroot Vine
• Grade: Elite Spirit Herb
• Properties: Immensely reinforces blood circulation, replenishes lost blood essence, and possesses 100% compatibility with Blood Alchemy.
"An Elite Grade herb!"
Seana’s eyes shone with excitement. She harvested the entire vine with surgical care, placing it safely into her Soul Manor’s storage.
Continuing her sweep, a bright golden glint caught her attention between two cracked boulders. A striking flower with metallic gold veins running across its petals swayed gently in the breeze.
