Chapter 52: Crimson Blood Empress

Seana stared at the glowing crimson text floating before her eyes.

"System, display the Title options."

PING!

[Analyzing Host’s Core Superpower, Passive Traits, Combat Style, and Martial Foundation...]

[Three System Titles have been generated:]

[TITLE OPTIONS]

• [Crimson Blood Empress System]

- Path: A cultivation heritage built on the supreme synergy of Blood Manipulation and Crimson Swordsmanship.

- Effect: Grants total control over blood, extraction of Blood Qi, weapon manifestation, and physical tempering. Excels in high-efficiency offense, rapid regeneration, and continuous sword techniques.

• [Blood Moon Sovereign System]

- Path: A specialized path combining Blood Power with Lunar Qi.

- Effect: Draws upon lunar cycles to boost regeneration, burst speed, sensory perception, and illusions. Excels in rapid assassination and burst damage, but requires external environmental conditions.

• [Scarlet Reaper System]

- Path: A dark cultivation path centered around life-force harvesting.

- Effect: Extracts vitality from living targets to convert into raw physical power and endurance. Unlocks high-tier execution arts, but demands immense Qi to maintain domain control.

[Notice: The Host’s choice of Title will permanently dictate her future path of Cultivation.]

Seana examined the three floating panels, her mind analyzing every detail with calm precision.

The [Crimson Blood Empress System] focused entirely on her existing foundation, Blood Manipulation and Crimson Swordsmanship. It would allow her to advance both paths simultaneously without forcing her to split her focus or abandon her current skills.

Her gaze shifted to the [Blood Moon Sovereign System.]

It was undeniably powerful, but its reliance on lunar energy created a potential vulnerability. What if she had to fight in a subterranean zone, an enclosed realm, or beneath a sunlit sky?

Then her eyes moved to the [Scarlet Reaper System.]

A path that harvested life force had terrifying potential, but she could already sense the immense Qi drain required to sustain such techniques.

Seana’s eyes narrowed.

She recalled her recent battle against the fifty-meter titan. Her Techniques had allowed her to stand against a monster that overwhelmed everyone else, but creating thousands of blood swords had nearly drained her Qi Core dry.

If she chose a path that demanded even more Qi, wouldn’t that become a fatal weakness in a prolonged fight?

What if she faced another top-tier cultivator or a high-rank mutated beast? Someone whose Qi Control was exceptional, or whose energy pool dwarfed her own?

Her mind briefly drifted to Nyren. Throughout their battles, the student president had unleashed relentless waves of high-density Ice Manipulation without showing any obvious signs of exhaustion. Nyren’s Qi reserves were massive, and she was only beginning to grow.

Destructive power means nothing if your Qi runs dry before the enemy falls, Seana thought. In a true battle of attrition, the one who can sustain their output is the one who survives.

She didn’t want a burst-style power that left her helpless after a single use. She wanted power she could sustain, control, and scale continuously alongside her blade techniques.

Her gaze returned to the first option: Crimson Blood Empress.

It didn’t require her to master an alien energy source or rely on external conditions. Her blood would become her blade, and her sword an extension of her Blood Qi, all while keeping her energy consumption balanced and sustainable.

Her decision was made.

"System," Seana commanded, her crimson eyes flashing with absolute resolve. "I select the Crimson Blood Empress System."

PING!

[Path Confirmed!]

[Merging Blood Manipulation and Crimson Swordsmanship into the Crimson Blood Empress Path...]

Before the notification faded, an intense gravitational wave pulled at Seana’s mind. Her physical surroundings dissolved into a sea of red light.

Her consciousness was dragged beyond reality into an unfamiliar space.

When the turbulence settled, a heavy, serene silence enveloped her.

[Welcome to the Host’s Soul Manor.]

Seana slowly opened her eyes and looked around, her lips parting slightly in surprise.

The domain stretched endlessly in every direction. Above her hung a grand, crimson sky—not the apocalyptic, blood-stained sky of the ruined world outside, but a deep, majestic twilight that felt ancient and peaceful.

Dense, pure Spiritual Qi saturated the atmosphere, washing over her skin like a warm spring breeze.

She looked down at her feet. The ground was covered in a sea of blooming red lotus flowers. Faint streams of glowing red energy rose from their petals, drifting lazily into the air.

Seana recognized the energy instantly.

Blood Qi.

A subtle, sweet fragrance drifted on the wind. She took a slow breath, a strange sense of familiarity washing over her, though she couldn’t place where she had smelled it before.

Before she could examine the flowers further—

WHOOSH!

The ambient Spiritual Qi throughout the domain surged toward the center of the horizon. Countless streams of crimson light interwove, condensing into a floating, radiant red orb.

An instinctual force pulled her forward. Her feet left the flower field, her body floating gently toward the glowing sphere.

Seana reached out, her fingertip brushing the orb’s surface.

BOOM!

The orb exploded into thousands of glowing red runes that reshaped into floating text:

[Crimson Blood Sovereign Art — Level 1]

[Description: An ancient cultivation manual that enables the Host to refine Heaven and Earth Qi through her bloodline, transforming standard energy into high-density Crimson Blood Qi. As cultivation progresses, it continuously tempers the Host’s meridians, physical frame, and blood control.]

[First Form Unlocked: Crimson Lotus Burial]

[Effect: Condenses high-density Crimson Blood Qi around the Blood Moon Sword before unleashing a strike in the shape of a blooming crimson lotus. Upon striking the target, the energy penetrates outer defenses and violently detonates from within, creating multiple overlapping layers of razor-sharp sword energy.]

[As to how Host is to use the technique, host will have to figure that out]

Seana’s eyes sparkled with excitement. An internal detonation technique...

Then her gaze caught a specific detail in the description.

The Blood Moon Sword.

She frowned slightly. The Blood Moon Sword had been a lower-grade weapon she had acquired from her very first orb drop. Why did a high-grade cultivation scripture explicitly name her weapon?

"System," Seana asked mentally. "Why does the cultivation scripture specifically reference the Blood Moon Sword?"

PING!

[The Host’s Blood Moon Sword has evolved alongside the Host.]

[Through relentless combat and blood integration, a profound soul bond has been established between the Host and the weapon.]

[The Blood Moon Sword has transcended its physical origins, evolving into the Host’s Soul Weapon.]

Seana’s eyes widened. "A Soul Weapon..."

VRMMMMMM!

A column of crimson light erupted in the center of the lotus field.

The Blood Moon Sword materialized out of thin air, hovering above the flowers. Faint red runes hummed along its dark steel blade as it greedily absorbed the dense Spiritual Qi of the Soul Manor.

Seana smiled, feeling the deep, indestructible bond connecting her heart to the blade.

Having a dedicated Soul Manor also means I have a private, absolute sanctuary to cultivate, store resources, and prepare for battle, she realized. This is a massive advantage.

Satisfied, she allowed her consciousness to begin drifting back toward her physical body.

Before opening her eyes in the real world, however, she remembered the unopened system options.

"System, display my Class options."

PING!

The crimson interface flickered before her eyes as it evaluated her martial foundation.
