Wa Huang glanced at the two of them and asked, "Do you really think I am so petty?"

Nato: "?????"

Nato was stunned there, not understanding what Wa Huang meant.

However, the Peacock Great Ming King reacted quickly.

The Peacock Great Ming King instantly understood that Wa Huang had no intention of punishing them.

Realizing this, the Peacock Great Ming King hurriedly thanked her, "Thank you, Palace Master, for not blaming us."

After the Peacock Great Ming King thanked her, seeing Nato still standing there dazed, he quickly tugged at Nato, signaling him to express his gratitude.

Only then did Nato respond, promptly expressing his thanks, "Thank you, Palace Master, for not blaming us."

Nato was slow to react and didn’t understand human interactions.

However, he excelled in obedience.

In short, he would do whatever the Peacock Great Ming King told him to do.

Wa Huang looked at these two disciples of hers and asked, "Have you two discovered anything?"

"A major discovery!" the Peacock Great Ming King replied.

Upon hearing this response, Wa Huang, the Demon Lord, and the Buddha were all delighted.

The three of them exchanged glances, thinking that any discovery would make all the losses worthwhile.

"Let me ask you, did you encounter the Void Race?" the Buddha asked promptly.

The Peacock Great Ming King answered truthfully, "We did."

"Are those of the Void Race dead or alive? What is their condition?" the Buddha asked again.

The Peacock Great Ming King contemplated for several seconds before answering, "In excellent condition. We were forced to a desperate situation by them, which led us to detonate the Red Embroidery Ball to escape."

"As for whether they’re dead or alive, I can only say neither dead nor alive."

Neither dead nor alive.

Wa Huang: "?????"

Buddha: "?????"

Demon Lord: "?????"

The Peacock Great Ming King’s response left Wa Huang, the Buddha, and the Demon Lord baffled.

Dead is dead, alive is alive, how can there be a logic of half-dead, half-alive?

Could it be that half of them on the left were dead, while the right half were alive?

Or perhaps, the upper half was dead, while the lower half was alive?

Especially since the Peacock Great Ming King mentioned that he and Nato were forced into a desperate situation by members of the Void Race, leading to the detonation of the Red Embroidery Ball.

How could this group from the Void Race have such strength to push the Peacock Great Ming King and Nato to such an extent?

Seeing the confusion on the faces of Wa Huang, the Demon Lord, and the Buddha, the Peacock Great Ming King added, "Array Spirits."

"The people of the Void Race all transformed into Array Spirits."

"This time, Nato and I fell into the Nine Fire Flame Array, facing a siege by nine Array Spirits."

Subsequently, the Peacock Great Ming King recounted in detail his and Nato’s experiences within the Nine Fire Flame Array.

Of course, the part where he secretly contacted Yin Celestial Son was hidden.

It was directly replaced with the scenario where, out of desperation, Nato decisively detonated the Red Embroidery Ball, blasting the array apart, which allowed them an opportunity to escape.

Nato was aware of these experiences, so the Peacock Great Ming King had nothing to hide.

The Peacock Great Ming King spoke the truth, and Wa Huang, the Demon Lord, and the Buddha could find no fault.

Upon understanding the course of events, everything made sense.

The Void Race that the Peacock Great Ming King described as neither dead nor alive was the Void Race that had transformed into Array Spirits.

"Ah!" The Buddha sighed heavily, slamming his thigh in frustration, "A clever act leading to unexpected troubles, indeed!"

"The Void Race merged into the Gui Xu Grand Array, and as long as the array remains unbroken, the Array Spirits cannot die. Now, we are completely unable to eradicate the Void Race."

Originally, if they let the Void Race leave the Returning Ruins, they would still have the chance to let their disciples eradicate the Void Race.

It would merely cost them some effort.

Now, however, with the Void Race absorbed into the arrays, their disciples stand no chance against the Gui Xu Race transformed into Array Spirits.

Everything they had done previously was now rendered futile.

"Let’s make a move and directly break all the arrays of the Returning Ruins!" the Demon Lord suggested.

However, this suggestion was obviously unconsidered.

"The cause and effect of the Void is already enough to trouble you; further entangling with the consequences of the Returning Ruins would truly endanger your life," the Buddha said, looking at the Demon Lord with a gaze that seemed to judge his intelligence.

The Demon Lord, disdained by the Buddha, was not convinced and retorted immediately, "Isn’t it largely under your direction that we’ve come to this point?"

"From my perspective, you should stop directing; can you really direct things clearly?"

Buddha: "?????"

The Buddha was rendered speechless by the Demon Lord’s retort.

The Buddha never expected that the Void Race would actually integrate into the grand array and transform into Array Spirits!

Usually, it was the Demon Lord and Wa Huang who argued, with the Buddha acting as the peacemaker.

This time the tables turned, and the Buddha and the Demon Lord argued, leaving Wa Huang to mediate.

"Isn’t our purpose in besieging the Void Race precisely to prevent them from joining hands with Yin Celestial Son inside and outside?"

"After transforming into Array Spirits, we have no means to annihilate them, but they are also trapped in the Returning Ruins."

"In any case, our strategic objective has been achieved."

"In my opinion, arrange arrays at the entrance and exit of the Returning Ruins, leaving disciples to guard them. Ensure that should anything unusual occur, we will be aware, which is sufficient."

"In short, the Void Race poses no further threat to us, and we can focus our efforts on dealing with Yin Celestial Son," Wa Huang said to the Demon Lord and the Buddha.

Originally, Wa Huang was not very enthusiastic about exterminating the Void Race; now, this outcome is actually quite a perfect ending.

Wa Huang’s words indeed made sense.

The main point was that they didn’t have any other options now.

In the absence of a way to eradicate the Void Race, ensuring that the Void Race cannot threaten them is sufficient.

"That’s all we can do!" the Buddha nodded in agreement.

Wa Huang, the Demon Lord, and the Buddha joined forces to seal the entrance and exit of the Returning Ruins.

Once the sealing was complete, the Demon Lord seemed to recall something and said to the Buddha, "Oh no, our Magical Treasures are still inside."

The Buddha replied helplessly, "Lost is lost. Entering the Returning Ruins again now would only complicate matters."

The loss of the Magical Treasures left the Demon Lord in a foul mood, and he asked the Peacock Great Ming King and Nato, "Do you know how Mo Ke and Monk Fusheng died? What array did they encounter?"

The Peacock Great Ming King answered, "We don’t know; after entering the Returning Ruins, we acted separately."

The Demon Lord continued to question, "Why? Why did you act separately?"

Beside him, Nato replied somewhat discontentedly, "It was your disciple Mo Ke who suggested acting separately."

"If we had acted together from the start, perhaps we wouldn’t have encountered danger?"

"Ask your disciple why if you want to know why he wanted to act separately."

Seeing Nato’s unfriendly attitude towards him, the Demon Lord immediately shouted angrily, "You brat, how dare you be impudent to me."

Wa Huang glared at the Demon Lord and said indignantly, "Demon Lord, if you have anger, take it out when you go back. Don’t dump it on my disciples."

After speaking, Wa Huang instructed her two disciples to stay and guard, then left with the Peacock Great Ming King and Nato.
