Chapter 319: Chapter 319: Upgrade Successful

"Overuse of her superpower? She didn’t use her superpower at all, so how could she have overused it?" Frost Shaw asked, confused. "She’s probably just asleep. Let’s just keep watch a little longer. We can figure things out when she’s more stable."

"Okay."

The two of them carefully laid Lily Hart down again, letting her rest comfortably on the sofa.

「Early the next morning」

Lily Hart woke up again, this time feeling completely refreshed!

She cursed at the system, ’You made me sleep this long just for an upgrade? Can’t you be a little more advanced? It should be done in a flash! I’ve seen other systems do it that way.’

The system replied meekly, "Host, the system is bound to your body. We don’t just upgrade the system, we have to upgrade your superpower, too. You’re Sixth Rank now! Strong as an ox! In peak physical condition!"

’Hah!’ Lily Hart scoffed.

She was still lying on the sofa when she suddenly did a kip-up, flipping over the back of it. The noise startled the drowsy Frost Shaw and Roman Rowe awake.

Roman Rowe’s eyes shot open. "What happened? What’s going on?"

Frost Shaw frowned and calmly stood up. When she saw Lily Hart standing there, brimming with energy, a great weight was lifted from her shoulders. She smiled and asked, "How are you feeling now?"

Lily Hart took stock of herself. The exhaustion from the day before was completely gone, replaced by a feeling of boundless energy! She felt a hundred times better!

She nodded emphatically. "Great! I’m so hungry I could eat a whole cow!"

Roman Rowe instantly seized on the important part. "Boss Hart, you’re hungry? What do you want to eat? I’ll go make it right now!"

"Umm... anything is fine, as long as it’s fast. I’m starving," Lily Hart urged. As she spoke, she summoned her Light Brain, ready to test its newly upgraded functions.

She looked around, puzzled. ’The RV didn’t get an upgrade?’

"If the Host wishes, it can be done now," the system said.

Since Lily Hart had been unconscious, the system hadn’t presumed to alter the RV on its own.

’Okay, go ahead,’ Lily Hart replied.

The next second, their vision blurred. When they came to, the scene before them had undergone an earth-shattering transformation.

They had been instantly teleported outside the RV. Its original two stories had become three. It hardly looked like an RV anymore, more like an actual house. Four massive wheels supported the heavy "tortoise shell."

Its exterior was extremely futuristic and completely out of place with the surroundings. Lily Hart let out a "Whoa—"

Not only was it taller, but it was also much larger—about twice the size of the Level 5 RV. It was spectacular and stunning, like a futuristic building that had fallen from the sky.

"Come on, come on, let’s go inside and take a look," Lily Hart said excitedly.

Luckily, it was still early, the sky just beginning to brighten, so none of the customers were out to see this.

The three of them hurried over, but after circling it once, they couldn’t find the door. The system offered a helpful tip: "As long as you will it, any spot can be the door."

"Furthermore, for those with a close bond to the Host, you can grant them this permission, though their authority will always be lower than yours," the system explained.

Lily Hart understood. The door used to be in a single, fixed location. Now it could be anywhere she wanted, so they no longer had to make a long trip around to get inside.

She called over the two who were running around like headless chickens. "Come over to me."

Frost Shaw and Roman Rowe obediently came over, and the next second, the three of them were inside the RV.

The space was much larger than before, more spacious and brighter. The original furniture was still there, which made the first floor seem vast and empty. Lily Hart decided she would go on a shopping spree later!

"Whoa—" Roman Rowe exclaimed. He ran to the place where he spent most of his day, the kitchen, and couldn’t help but let out another "Whoa!"

The kitchen had also gotten much bigger, but it still looked the same: cabinets, a big fridge, pots and pans, a few stovetops. Being larger actually made it feel emptier.

There were also two new rooms: a dedicated storage room, a dedicated reception room, and a small, empty room.

Lily Hart went to the second floor. Her small bed was gone, replaced by a massive 2.2-meter bed. There was also a new walk-in closet, a vanity, and a desk. The cabinets were just basic shells.

Even Lily, Nana, and King had their own rooms now.

The three of them were getting along great. Their rooms were like a pet paradise, with everything they could want.

The bathroom now had a separate wet room, and a large bathtub had been added. Now she could comfortably take a bath all by herself.

Lily Hart finished her satisfied tour and went up to the third floor, but it was completely empty. Since she wouldn’t be using it, she decided not to worry about it for now.

There was even an elevator next to the stairs. ’For a journey of just a few steps, who is this even for?’ she wondered.

After touring the entire RV, a re-energized Lily Hart sat on the sofa, ready for a major shopping spree!

Now that the space was bigger, to keep the first floor from looking so empty, Lily Hart bought two more sofas for a total of five, arranging them in a circle.

She also moved the dining table to a new spot between the kitchen and the sofas.

She bought two standing cabinets to act as a divider between the dining area and the sofa area, and also bought a coffee table to place in the middle of the circle of sofas.

Lily Hart didn’t have much of an eye for aesthetics, but after looking around, she felt it was perfect. She clapped her hands proudly. Mission accomplished.

Roman Rowe had already been busy in the kitchen. When he brought out a quickly prepared bowl of tomato and egg noodles, he was momentarily stunned. In just a few minutes, the living room had completely transformed.

But he still quickly brought the noodles to Lily Hart. "Eat up, Boss Hart. You fell asleep in the middle of hotpot yesterday. You must be starving!"

She was, in fact, starving. Plus, after just upgrading, her body felt hollow. She didn’t stand on ceremony, immediately picking up the bowl and digging in.

Frost Shaw was hungry too. She went to the kitchen for a bowl and brought one back for Roman Rowe as well. The three of them huddled around the coffee table, slurping their noodles with gusto.

It was almost seven o’clock. As they were eating, Leo Colby and the others arrived.

"Weren’t you supposed to message the group if anything happened with Boss Hart?" Leo Colby asked, puzzled. He was on the verge of calling them "you brats."

Frost Shaw and Roman Rowe looked up blankly and said in unison, "We forgot, haha."

Roman Rowe added, "There are noodles in the pot. Go get some."

When Leo Colby and the others saw that Lily Hart was fine and had a healthy appetite, they breathed a collective sigh of relief and headed for the kitchen to get some noodles. Halfway there, Seth remarked slowly, "Did the RV change?"

Stan Sterling nudged him. "We noticed that already." They just hadn’t pointed it out.

When Lily Hart suddenly collapsed yesterday, everyone had guessed it might be due to a superpower upgrade. Seeing the massive change in the RV today confirmed their suspicions.

Seth chuckled sheepishly.

The group filed out of the kitchen one by one, each holding a bowl of noodles. Lily Hart had already finished eating and was now studying the system’s new functions.

She vaguely remembered the system saying she could open branch locations for just 500,000 points.

She felt the businesses people needed most were a convenience store and a canteen! One would let people buy instant noodles, bottled water, and bread, while the other could sell ready-to-eat fast food.

Lily Hart immediately found the "Branch" page, selected "Convenience Store" and "Canteen," and clicked "Confirm."
