Apocalypse: I'm Bound to a Mobile Lottery Shop
Chapter 307: Hot Pot Restaurant
Chapter 307: Chapter 307: Hot Pot Restaurant
With that, they were off like a gust of wind, heading straight for the convenience store next door.
Lily Hart was a bit stunned. When she snapped out of it, she turned to Frost Shaw and the others still sprawled on the sofa and yelled:
"Get back to the shops! We have customers!" she snapped, giving them a look of utter exasperation.
Frost Shaw and Roman Rowe came to their senses, scrambling to their feet and taking several large strides out of the RV.
Leo Colby chuckled. "I’m heading back too. We’ll probably have customers."
Owen Warren also got up, stomping his feet dramatically to shake his pant legs down. "Let’s go, let’s go! Time to get to work!"
Seth and Stan Sterling exchanged a look and said in unison, "Let’s go."
In less than three minutes, only Lily Hart and the two young girls were left in the RV.
Just then, another wave of customers arrived, and Diana Sharp and Tina Jacobs skillfully attended to them.
Lily Hart went to join in the fun and listened to their excited chatter. This group of customers was also on their way out of the base.
They saw on the [Human Social Sphere] that Boss Hart had come to Steadfast Base!
They hadn’t believed it at first and had been discussing it the whole way. Boss Hart was thriving at Central Command, so why would she come to a rundown place like this?
But when they came out to look, she was really here! They were ecstatic!
They had to cherish this opportunity. What if it was a traveling tour, and she was only here for one day?
They started right away with the scratch-off tickets. If they won, they kept scratching; if they didn’t, they went to browse the convenience store.
After the convenience store, they would head to the bathhouse to enjoy a refreshing bath.
Then, they’d go to the factory to buy some fast food for lunch.
This was the "Boss Hart’s Shops Tour Guide" that everyone had put together on the [Human Social Sphere].
It saved money and let you experience everything—it was absolutely brilliant.
This was the first Lily Hart had heard of this guide. After reading it from top to bottom, she had an idea.
She could link the lottery shop, bathhouse, hotel, factory, and night market together.
She could create a bundled package deal.
For example, a package could include two scratch-off tickets, a half-day pass to the bathhouse, a spending limit in a designated area of the convenience store, two fast-food meals, and so on...
It would be cheaper than paying for each item individually, but still profitable enough that Lily Hart and her team wouldn’t lose money.
She remembered that package deals had been a thing for a long time, but she’d always been too lazy to set them up.
There hadn’t been much point when she had fewer shops. Now that she had more, people could buy one package and enjoy everything.
Before the apocalypse, people would shop around and compare package deals just to go out for a meal, looking for the cheapest option with the largest portions.
Now that it was the apocalypse, everyone was surely poorer. Every point saved counted.
She immediately opened her Light Brain and started creating the bundled packages.
The most basic one was: two top-tier scratch-off tickets (original price: 300); two hours of unlimited access to the second-floor bathhouse (original price: 388);
ten items of your choice from shelf number one in the convenience store, with a total value not exceeding 500;
one fast-food meal (original price: 288), and one night in a single room at the hotel (original price: 188).
Lily Hart designated this as Package ①, priced at 1,199 points.
That was the equivalent of twelve Crystal Cores, making it five Crystal Cores cheaper than the original total price.
It might not sound like much at first, but that was the equivalent of killing five zombies!
For an ordinary survivor, that was a difficult task.
Following this pattern, Lily Hart set up three bundled packages at different price points, each with different contents.
She then created five more packages, combining the convenience store and the factory, or the factory and the bathhouse.
It was all just a matter of mixing and matching.
Once everything was set up, Lily Hart finally looked up from her Light Brain and stretched her neck a couple of times.
She released all the bundled packages into the [Lily Hart’s Lottery Shop] app.
Any customer with a Light Brain who had made a purchase at one of her shops would have this app appear on their device.
It was very comprehensive; you could even use an online supermarket mini-program on it now.
You could also top up your points, check your balance, or purchase the bundled packages.
For every hundred points spent or one scratch-off ticket purchased, you would earn 1 loyalty point.
These loyalty points could be used in the [Points Mall] within the app to redeem for goods or buy more scratch-off tickets.
Needless to say, everyone loved using it.
She got up and took a couple of steps. She had been looking down for so long that her head felt a little fuzzy.
Just as she was about to have a good stretch, she heard Diana Sharp shouting for her, "Boss, a grand prize!"
"What grand prize? How grand is it?" Lily Hart walked over to the counter.
The customer who had won the grand prize was startled when someone seemingly appeared out of thin air, and she quickly handed over the small card.
"The g-grand prize is here with me." The customer was a girl with chin-length, somewhat dry and yellowed hair, and large, round eyes.
Her cheeks were sunken from chronic malnutrition, but that didn’t detract from her eyes, which were exceptionally bright.
"Hi~" Lily Hart greeted her cheerfully, leaning over the counter. She took the small card, and after one look, she swallowed hard.
A hot pot restaurant!!
’Holy cow! The system even has this!’
After a moment of shock, Lily Hart accepted it. After all, she had already won a hotel and a factory.
At this point, she wouldn’t even be surprised if a hospital came next.
"Come, come, let me explain the details to you." Lily Hart beckoned to the girl.
Seeing this, the girl took two timid yet obedient steps forward. "What is it, Boss Hart? Can I redeem the prize?"
"Of course you can. It’s just that, well, this is a first-place prize. Once you redeem it, you’ll be bound to me."
Lily Hart explained patiently, her tone softening unconsciously as she spoke to the girl.
"I... I’m willing!" the girl said decisively, as if she had made a great resolve to march to her death.
Lily Hart burst out laughing. "It’s not like I’m asking you to go through fire and water. This is a good thing for both of us!"
"Right, a good thing! I’m willing, Boss Hart!" the girl said eagerly, her expression firm.
"Okay, come on up, and we’ll talk it over." Lily Hart led her to the RV door, opened it, and gestured for her to get in.
She wasn’t worried about the girl being a bad person or anything. Once a first-place prize was won, it created a binding relationship.
Betrayal was impossible.
Lily Hart had the girl sit down on a chair. Holding the small card, she said solemnly, "No backing out now~"
The girl was still a bit reserved. The inside of the RV felt so warm and clean, and her clothes were dusty, so she only dared to sit on the very edge of her seat.
Hearing this, she also nodded seriously. "I definitely won’t back out. Please redeem it, Boss Hart. I can’t wait!"
"Wait, wait, not so fast. After you redeem it, the hot pot restaurant must be located within a hundred meters of the lottery shop. Also, the profits are split eighty-twenty—you get twenty percent, I get eighty."
"You will manage the hot pot restaurant. You can come to me with anything you’re unsure about, but you’re the boss. I’m just the one waiting for my share of the profits."
"Understand?" Lily Hart asked, and couldn’t help but pause for a moment as she met the girl’s large, dark eyes.
Her face was so thin that her eyes were all you could see—large, watery, and glistening black.
The girl blinked a couple of times. "I understand. It means I can never leave Boss Hart!"
Lily Hart paused. ’Is that what I meant? I guess that’s more or less it, isn’t it?’
"So, shall we redeem it?" Lily Hart said.
"Yes!" The girl’s eyes were filled with anticipation.
The two of them left the RV, one after the other. Lily Hart first gave her a tour of the area, pointing out what was what.
The main reason was to let her choose a location for the hot pot restaurant herself.
