Apocalypse: I Built a City of Sin

Apocalypse — Chapter 95: This Is Almost Too Good!

Lu Yurou stepped onto the platform. Blushing, she gathered her courage for a moment before taking a textbook and pointer from her briefcase and beginning the lesson.

The atmosphere in the classroom gradually became harmonious.

For a time, everyone felt as though they had returned to the wonderful days before the apocalypse.

Bright sunlight shone outside the windows.

Students played soccer on the green field.

Inside the classroom, a professor explained the day’s lesson.

Some students diligently took notes.

Others leaned over their desks and slept off their exhaustion, no doubt after staying out far too late the night before.

On the platform stood a beautiful professor with a graceful figure.

She was lovely, elegant, and utterly mesmerizing.

Like a perfectly ripened peach, she exuded an irresistible allure toward her male students.

Lu Yurou gradually settled into her role and immersed herself in the memory of those peaceful days.

Her hips swayed as she descended from the platform.

Xiao Yi watched the Professor Lu Yurou of his dreams approach until she stood beside him.

That elegant, refined figure.

That beautiful, gentle voice.

She had not changed.

She was still the same dignified beauty professor.

But he was no longer the timid student who had not even dared speak to her.

Xiao Yi stood and took Lu Yurou by the arm with domineering confidence.

...

“What a vivid and wonderful lesson!”

When Xiao Yi finally emerged from the classroom, he felt somewhat exhausted.

Inside, the room was in complete disarray.

“I relived my university days and fulfilled one of my old dreams at the same time.”

Xiao Yi glanced back at Professor Lu Yurou leaning weakly against the lectern.

His satisfaction carried a trace of wicked delight.

When he returned to the Dark Castle, Lan Siruo had already awakened.

She and Keke, who had been assigned to watch her, were locked in a staring contest.

Apparently, the two mutants did not get along despite being the same kind of creature.

The moment Xiao Yi entered, Keke hurriedly reported, “Daddy, this big sister with cat ears tried to run away!”

“I wasn’t trying to run away!” Lan Siruo protested angrily. “I only wanted to save my friends!”

She turned her large, watery eyes toward Xiao Yi.

“I will repay you for saving my life, but my friends’ shelter is surrounded by a zombie horde. They’re in danger. I have to go back and save them.”

“Your friends?”

Xiao Yi was surprised that Lan Siruo had found both a shelter and companions.

“Yes. They took me in. Our settlement is under attack by a zombie horde. I lured away one spider monster, but there’s still a pregnant monster there. Without me, they can’t defeat those zombies.”

Resolve filled Lan Siruo’s face.

“I have to go back and fight beside them.”

Two unfamiliar terms in her explanation caught Xiao Yi’s attention: zombie horde and pregnant monster.

He was also curious about the settlement she had mentioned.

But first, he wanted to know whether Lan Siruo remembered anything from before the apocalypse.

“Lan Siruo, do you really not remember me?”

Xiao Yi stared into her eyes, searching for the answer.

At the sound of the name Lan Siruo, pain flashed across her face.

But she soon shook her head.

“I can’t remember. I don’t remember anything from before. Do you know me? Was Lan Siruo my name?”

That confirmed it.

Lan Siruo had truly lost her memory.

Her condition was much better than Keke’s, however. At least her intelligence remained normal.

“That’s right. You used to study here. Your name is Lan Siruo, and I’m your husband, Xiao Yi.” Without a trace of shame, Xiao Yi lied through his teeth. “I’m so happy I finally found you again.”

“My husband?”

Confusion appeared in Lan Siruo’s eyes, followed by sudden realization.

“So that’s why! No wonder you felt so familiar the first time I saw you. You’re my husband!”

She quickly believed Xiao Yi’s nonsense. Somewhere in her subconscious, she felt a powerful sense of closeness toward him. He was also the man who had saved her life.

“That’s right. Lanlan, call me Husband. It’s been so long since I heard you say it.”

Xiao Yi continued guiding her along.

“H-Husband...” Lan Siruo called shyly. “But... are we really married?”

Although she had lost her memory, she still retained basic common sense. At her age, she did not think she should already be married.

“Not officially. We were deeply in love and privately promised ourselves to each other.”

Xiao Yi spoke utter nonsense without so much as blinking.

Lan Siruo’s face turned red. “Oh... I see...”

Xiao Yi had only intended to tease her. He had not expected her to believe every word.

That left even him momentarily at a loss.

“Husband, I can’t stay here with you right now. I have to save our friends. The sisters rescued me and took me in. I only survived because of them.”

Lan Siruo gave Xiao Yi an apologetic look, then rose with determination.

“I can go with you and help save your friends, but first you need to tell me about the situation there.”

“And what did you mean by a zombie horde? What is this pregnant monster?”

Even Xiao Yi did not believe the words help save them as they left his mouth.

If Lan Siruo’s friends were all beautiful women, he might graciously bring them back and slowly train them into servants.

If they were a group of men and ugly women, he might arrange for them to die instead.

That would keep Lan Siruo from worrying about them in the future.

Lan Siruo was both a woman he had once wanted and a cat-eared mutant.

There was no chance Xiao Yi would let such a valuable woman escape him.

Whether for his own pleasure or to strengthen the Women’s Personal Guard, Lan Siruo would be an excellent addition.

He was now intensely curious about the settlement she had described.

And what exactly were the pregnant monster and zombie horde?

Could they threaten the City of Sin?

“Our settlement was very safe at first, and many people lived there,” Lan Siruo explained.

“There are other mutants like me too. There’s Big Sister Fox, Big Sister Ox-Horn, Big Sister Centaur, Little Sister Snake, Little Brother Gray Wolf, and Big Brother Tiger.”

“They’re all mutants like me.”

Xiao Yi’s eyes lit up.

One catgirl was already a delight, but there was also a foxgirl, a horned woman, a centaur woman, and a snake girl?

This was almost too good!

Xiao Yi suddenly could not wait to see that shelter for himself.
