Apocalypse — Chapter 34: You May Have Misunderstood the Beautiful Professor

The sunroof on the pickup rolled open slowly. A man in a police helmet climbed out of it.

The man put binoculars on the area around the school, then said a few sentences to the people in the vehicle, then sat back down inside.

The modified pickup and the modified off-roader swung around and roared off again, arrogant as before.

Xiao Yi controlled the Three-Eyed Raven and flew after the two modified vehicles for a while.

Just as the Three-Eyed Raven’s detection range hit its limit, the two vehicles stopped in front of a convenience store. Five men with machetes and one man with a rifle got out of the trucks and killed the few zombies that rushed them the way you cut vegetables.

Then the one with the gun kept watch, and the other five were responsible for hauling things out of the convenience store.

The five men’s coordination was extremely practiced. They soon finished moving what they wanted, turned, climbed back into the modified vehicles, and tore away again.

Watching the dust of the two modified vehicles going into the distance, Xiao Yi could not help frowning slightly.

These people looked very organized. And they seemed very interested in what was inside the school.

But for some reason, in the end they still had not come in.

What Xiao Yi cared about most was not that, though. The main thing was that these people actually had a rifle in their hands!

The man had never fired it, but the threat of a rifle was still enormous.

Soon he saw several C-rank burly zombies. These burly zombies were slamming themselves like mad at an iron grate door, as if something had drawn them.

He pushed the Three-Eyed Raven a little closer. Xiao Yi found that not far from the iron grate the burly zombies were slamming, there was a mall. And on the outer wall of the mall, there were actually several people climbing up on ropes.

Because this mall building was not tall, only about seven or eight meters, it had just been blocked by a taller building beside it, so Xiao Yi had not seen it.

These people had big packs of food and water on their backs. It was obvious they had carried it out of the mall.

Following the ropes up with his eyes, Xiao Yi actually found a camp on the roof!

The mall building was not tall, but it was very wide.

Right now there were actually a lot of colored tents on top of the mall.

A lot of men and women were walking back and forth on the roof. Xiao Yi counted roughly. There were actually more than thirty people.

It was actually coming from the faculty dorm!

Because the City of Sin had grown by half after the upgrade, the northernmost end of the City of Sin now sat against the girls’ dorm.

The place Xiao Yi was standing right now was exactly the northernmost wall of the City of Sin.

So the shouting from the faculty dorm was something he could hear just fine.

“Master! Listen! That sounds like that beautiful professor from the economics department!”

The five women cooking over a fire on the open ground, working on food, had noticed the cries for help as well. The girls’ dorm was in the way. They could not see the faculty dorm at all.

But from the voice alone, Li Wanning and the others guessed it was that beautiful professor from the economics department.

“This woman still isn’t dead?” Shen Tingting said, quite contemptuous.

“From the voice it really does sound like Professor Lu Yurou! Is she calling for help?! We should go save her!” Tang Ningning pushed her glasses up and said it, very excited.

Lu Yurou was her idol.

“Save her for what? You don’t know. She’s actually in a room with that old vice-president!” Shen Tingting said, quite disdainful. “Why save someone like that? Disgusting!”

“You mean Vice-President Lu? That Vice-President Lu who looks so fierce?” Tang Jingyan asked, curious.

“Yes! That old man. Mean-faced all day, like the whole world owed him a few million. I didn’t think Lu Yurou had actually gotten together with this old man! He could be her father!” Shen Tingting stuck out her tongue as she said it.

“Vice-President Lu is her father! Professor Lu Yurou never says it, but I know, because my father is a director on the board. My dad told me about this.”

Tang Jingyan said it with a smile. “You misunderstood Professor Yurou. She’s a good woman, and she’s stubborn. She’s thirty-three now and she still won’t take a boyfriend. That matter drives Vice-President Lu crazy.”
