Chapter 584: Starting The Skill And Talent Experiments
Lin Moyu’s expression grew increasingly complex.
Excitement, exhilaration, nervousness, shock—different emotions welled up on his face.
Even with his eyes closed, those emotions were vividly clear.
Antares, who had lived through endless years and witnessed countless beings and events, instantly discerned Lin Moyu’s emotional turmoil.
Curiosity stirred within him, wondering what exactly Lin Moyu had experienced.
At that moment, Lin Moyu was examining his newly acquired talent.
He studied it word by word, analyzing its purpose.
[The Host has acquired a unique godly talent: Comprehensive Rebirth.]
[Comprehensive Rebirth: when the Summoner and/or their summons truly die, they will be reborn, fully recovering to their peak state. All skills will have their cooldowns reset. This talent can be activated once every minute.]
As he examined the description, Lin Moyu could sense streams of law force flowing from the newly formed purple flame, merging directly into his soul.
The law force didn’t stop there. It also drilled into his skill star cores.
Not only the two within his soul, but even those in his skill space were infused with this law force.
In the past, Lin Moyu would never have been able to perceive such a thing.
But now, with his soul stronger than ever, and having personally witnessed the birth, fusion, and completion of this talent, he could clearly perceive it.
He could trace how the law force permeated each skill star core.
Suddenly, understanding dawned.
The unique godly talent he had obtained affected all the skills he possessed.
Only the skills granted by the Primordial Runes remained untouched, as those didn’t truly belong to him and lacked their own skill star cores.
After carefully rereading the description, Lin Moyu fully grasped its function.
Excitement surged within him, almost impossible to contain.
At first glance, Complete Rebirth seemed like a simple death-nullifying ability that could be activated once every minute.
But its true significance ran far deeper.
The two most crucial words were: truly die.”
Those words changed everything.
Truly dying meant that the talent would only trigger after every other survival mechanism had been exhausted.
Originally, to truly kill Lin Moyu, one first had to annihilate his undead army.
And to annihilate the undead army, the enemy needed to destroy it four times within five minutes.
Only on the fourth time would both he and his undead army truly perish.
But now, upon that fourth death, Comprehensive Rebirth would activate.
He and his undead army would be fully restored, all skills reset, and the cycle would begin anew.
The enemy would then have to kill him four more times, and within one minute.
If they failed, the talent would trigger again, granting yet another full rebirth.
“This is what it means to be undying!”
The realization struck Lin Moyu like lightning. His survivability had reached monstrous heights.
Even before the Demon Emperor, as long as he avoided direct confrontation and focused on evasion, surviving for one minute would be easy.
Even such a terrifying opponent would find it difficult to truly kill him.
“From now on, I won’t have to fear death again.”
“The system… it’s beyond incredible.”
Merging two godly talents into a single unique godly talent, such a feat was something only the system could accomplish.
Though the talent was now awakened, his class awakening was still not complete.
The laws of heaven and earth continued to roar, continuously pouring into his body.
After strengthening both body and soul, law force surged into his skill space.
It acted as catalysts, awakening the dormant skill star cores of his level 70 skills.
Ordinarily, without class sublimation, he would have had to awaken new skills on his own.
But now, thanks to class sublimation, the laws of heaven and earth themselves were doing it for him.
Within his skill space, three skill star cores lit up in succession, radiating dazzling light.
“Three skills!”
Lin Moyu realized that upon reaching level 70, he had gained three new skills.
For most class users, the number of skills decreased as their level increased, though their power increased.
Three skills at this stage were considered average.
Lin Moyu couldn’t help feeling a surge of anticipation.
[Acquired skill: Summon Headless Knight]
[Summon Headless Knight (level 1): summons an Iron Headless Knight.]
[Acquired skill: Undead Gaze]
[Undead Gaze (level 1): summons the Undead Eye that ignites undying fire, inflicting soul damage to the target. Damage scales with the skill’s level and the soul’s strength.]
[Acquired skill: Bone Spear]
[Bone Spear (level 1): releases a Bone Spear to attack the enemy, causing physical damage. The spears possess powerful piercing power, and its might scales with the skill’s level and the spirit force attribute.]
One summon skill, one soul-type attack skill, and one physical-type attack skill.
The true power of these skills would only be revealed through testing, but as level 70 skills, they were bound to be formidable.
The rumble of the laws slowly faded, marking the end of Lin Moyu’s third class awakening.
He memorized every sensation from the process, especially the feeling of the talent world.
One day, he vowed, he would transfer the three flames—the three talents—from the talent world into his soul itself.
Even when he became a God-level expert, he wanted his talents to remain fully intact, not weakened like those of other God-level experts.
When he opened his eyes, he found himself surrounded by corpses, all Dreadbeasts.
Among them lay a massive one: a Dreadbeast King.
Even such a creature had been helpless before Antares. His strength was beyond imagination.
As the laws completely dissipated, the surrounding changed along with them.
Antares brought Lin Moyu back from the Dreadland.
“How is it?” Antares asked gruffly, feigning nonchalance.
“A complete success.” Lin Moyu replied, “My class sublimated, and I awakened a new talent.”
Antares snorted, “Of course you did. You used a Talent Divine Stone. Awakening a talent is expected. I know your new class too—Undying Holy King, right? Hmm, sounds familiar somehow…”
Having lived too long, some of his distant memories had faded away.
Lin Moyu smiled, “Maybe you heard it in a dream.”
Antares dismissed it, “Never mind that. Did you see your talent world?”
“I did.” Lin Moyu nodded, “I saw three flames. I still remember the feeling of the talent world. Someday, I’ll bring them out.”
“That’s going to be difficult.” Antares said with a sly grin, as if he were waiting to see Lin Moyu make a fool of himself.
“Difficult or not, I’ll try.” Lin Moyu replied, clenching his fists, determination burning in his eyes.
“All right then.” Antares said, growing impatient, “Tell me about your talent and skills and the changes after your class awakening.”
Finally unable to contain his curiosity, he pressed for details.
Lin Moyu nodded, “I want to know that too. I’ll tell you as I test them.”
With a thought, he summoned his entire undead army and all his Liches.
Seven rings of light appeared beneath the skeletons’ feet, spinning and glowing. It was a magnificent sight.
“How will you test them?” Antares asked.
“Attack me.” Lin Moyu said, “Use level 90 strength.”
Without another word, Antares struck.
The sudden attack descended like divine judgment, catching Lin Moyu completely off guard.
The power was beyond comprehension, so vast he couldn’t even begin to grasp it.
But that didn’t matter. He would understand it one day.
The God-level strike inflicted immense damage, yet a translucent white film of light shimmered across Lin Moyu’s body.
All the damage was instantly transferred to his undead army through his Damage Transfer skill.
Previously, Damage Transfer merely transferred the damage.
But now that the skill was moved into his soul, with a 50% fusion rate, it had evolved.
[Damage Transfer (fusion 50%): all received damage is halved; the reduced portion is transferred to the summons.]
