Chapter 1241 - 947: Additional Conditions
Chapter 1241: Chapter 947: Additional Conditions
When Huai Shi awoke once again from a long dream, he felt as if his whole body had been resurrected, incomparably light and leisurely.
In his ears came the sound of birds and the fragrance of flowers outside the window, and the mighty bell was tolling at the nearby church, with the faint chant of holy hymns and the melody of the pipe organ echoing in his ears.
It made him hum softly along uncontrollably.
Then, he opened his eyes.
He glimpsed a delicate face leaning over him, peering down at him, with slender and fair hands lightly pressing on the headboard, magically supporting the entire body in a suspension-like manner, hanging in mid-air.
The assassination technique, Spider Suspension Technique, from the Tribunal was used so skillfully, that even Huai Shi couldn’t help but praise it.
But now, the teenage girl hanging over his bed, looking down at him, was blinking and scrutinizing his astonished face, with a smile slowly curving on her lips.
Like a she-wolf lurking in a blizzard, ready to pounce.
"Good morning."
Anna’s lips parted, greeting him softly.
And in her other hand, the dagger aimed at his face, stabbed down!
Bang!
When his two fingers lifted and closed, the sharp dagger, richly coated with venom, was suspended in front of Huai Shi’s eyeball, and Huai Shi sighed, a slight tremor in his fingers, unleashing a force as heavy as an iron hammer along the dagger, causing Anna to involuntarily let go.
Before she could pull out the dagger from her lower back for another offensive in mid-air, a hand pressed gently on her face, fingers slightly apart, revealing Anna’s eyes.
Letting her see Huai Shi’s yawning expression.
The next instant, a loud boom erupted!
As if she was shot out of a cannon, Anna was catapulted, her body agilely rolling and spinning, cleverly dissipating the powerful force, landing on the wall as if defying gravity, stood stable, and looked up at Huai Shi.
About to say something.
She heard, heartbeats, pulses, expansions and contractions of the lungs and liver, a myriad of chaotic noises rapidly converging, erupting like a symphony.
Causing the wall beneath her to crack, making her involuntarily slam back.
Amidst the dust and bricks flying, she crashed through the wall, into the hallway, then broke through the wall on the other side of the hallway, into another traveling priest’s room.
Soaring over the devoutly praying priest, smashing the window, narrowly catching onto a straight flagpole, flipped, stood nimbly on top of the flagpole.
She squatted, gazing at Huai Shi through the five or six shattered penetrated holes.
Lips curled up.
Revealing a smile pure and different from before.
Filled with curiosity about everything that just happened to her.
"How did you do that?"
"Take a guess."
Huai Shi rubbed his face, slipped on slippers, and walked to the bathroom to brush his teeth and wash his face.
But amidst the gradually spreading hubbub, the teenage girl agilely leaped from the flagpole, lightly touching the gaps in the walls and the bedposts, returning to the room like a nimble beast, then flipped over the bathroom door, performed a perfect 360-degree spin in the air, squeezing into the less than thirty-centimeter gap between Huai Shi and the mirror, crouching on the sink.
Her gaze level with Huai Shi’s, scrutinizing carefully.
Full of aggressive, provocative eyes, unchanged from before!
Huai Shi expressionlessly brushed his teeth, mumbled with a sigh: "Didn’t you say you turned back? Why are you still like this little brat?"
The little girl he personally brought out from the Mirror of Day and Night, sweet, soft, cute, and obedient calling him Big Brother, where did she go? When he blinked, why did she enter the rebellious phase?
"Hmm? Do you prefer the obedient and submissive type?"
Anna leaned closer, propped her arm on the wall behind Huai Shi, suddenly tilted her head, smiled innocently: "Then please guide me well in the future, Teacher Huai Shi!"
Huai Shi rolled his eyes, looked at that arm pinning him against the wall:
"Is this considered sexual harassment?"
"Hmm? I need to be assertive sometimes." Anna blinked, "As long as I’m the one gaining, it’s fine!"
Huai Shi sighed, tilted his head, spat out the foam in his mouth.
Rinsed his mouth, put down the cup and toothbrush, wiped his face.
Then, raised his hand, intending to teach the brat in front of him a lesson on what respecting elders means.
But soon, a hand from the side stretched out, grabbing her by the back, lifted her like a naughty kitten, and tossed her out of the door.
"Alright, Aniya, your teacher may seem open-minded, but actually he’s very conservative, stop joking." Luo Su said, "Go play somewhere else, let the adults have a chat."
Anna skillfully flipped herself upright on the wall’s protrusions, stepping on a line of icicles, moved off into the distance.
"Just waking up now? Looks like playing music is quite exhausting, huh, hope you like this gift." Luo Su lifted a tray in his other hand: "I brought you breakfast, care to chat while we eat?"
He snapped his fingers, the floating dust and debris in the room disappeared, leaving it neat and tidy.
Outside the freshly smashed crack, busy workers appeared, quickly beginning repairs.
Meanwhile, Huai Shi sat in front of the table, not in a hurry to touch the breakfast but instead keenly noticed Luo Su’s wording just now, that address: "’Teacher’?"
"Yes, Teacher." Luo Su laughed, "You’ve been teaching for so long, surely you won’t be startled just by being called Teacher?"
"Who said I wasn’t startled? This is quite a shock, alright!"
Huai Shi widened his eyes, glanced at Anna peeking from not far away, and then looked at Luo Su, his expression serious: "What’s going on?"
"Literally what it is." Luo Su shrugged, "She must have a place in the Heavenly Kingdom Genealogy, this is Kaja’s request, just think of it as an additional condition."
Huai Shi’s eye twitched furiously.
So you’re just borrowing a flower to offer to Buddha here?
"If it’s Archbishop Yekaterina’s request, then it’s your responsibility, why add it to my workload!"
"You think I’m unwilling? Okay, maybe I really am unwilling, after all, dealing with one student is already troublesome enough, but this time they specifically named you to come forward... ahem, diligent, present."
Old Turtle reached out, pulled out a commission letter, and slapped it on the table in front of Huai Shi: "Last night, the Russian Federation Central Church of Savior’s approval came down, signed personally by the Eastern Region Pastor, appointing you as Anna’s teacher!"
What the hell?!
Huai Shi widened his eyes and leaned closer, his pupils illuminated by the gold in the title, the stamp of the Savior’s Cathedral and the signature of the Eastern Pastor affixed at the end, along with the emblem of the Six-fold Key.
This proves that this commission letter possesses an efficacy within the Russian Federation Genealogy akin to law, even surpassing it.
The only problem is, why is this commission letter for me?
"Wait, I’m not even a believer, does this make me a Knight in the Tribunal?"
Huai Shi held up the commission letter for a while, carefully discerning the Source Fluctuation on it, doubting: "Could it be that you bought this from that place making fake documents by our school’s south gate? Forging the Pastor’s signature would land you in Hell!"
"What are you afraid of? You have an honorary title, albeit a slightly higher rank, but really if it were useful, it doesn’t even match the influence of your title as King of Tanbo."
Luo Su said: "Isn’t this just letting everyone know you’re sort of one of us, and easier to have you lead a student?"
Huai Shi shook his head: "I already have students."
"You already have two, adding one more isn’t much." Luo Su spread his hands: "And you’re professionally on point, you can teach what the Tribunal can’t!
Besides, I recommended Isaac, Ramanujan, and Ms. Chen, but they weren’t interested! It’s what the kid herself requested!" ℯ
Saying this, Luo Su glanced not far away.
Outside the crack, Anna peeked again, resting her chin, smiling at Huai Shi.
Excited and joyful.
Her green eyes gazing at others, it felt like a White Wolf freely galloping in the snowfield.
Huai Shi glanced over, unable to suppress a sigh: "Why is she still like this? Was there an accident during recovery?"
"No accident, it’s just natural, you’re thinking too optimistically."
Luo Su shook his head: "It takes three days to learn something bad, three years to learn something good. Even if goodwill returns, the malice still runs deep, there’s a long way to go for her to change.
Moreover, is she not herself, regardless of being good or bad? With the Tribunal’s laws and teachings, she won’t fall to depravity, she’s just a bit awkward.
Think of her as the naughty kid of relatives visiting, if she’s disobedient give her a beating, if once is not enough then more, besides, I see you’re quite skilled at it."
"Hey, don’t make such outrageous statements, I do not have a penchant for hitting students!"
"Even if you do, it doesn’t matter, Iron Fist Correction is also part of education."
Luo Su didn’t care, just casually mentioned: "Anyway, before and after the wars of the myriad realms, Kaja will be busy, she wants you to take care of the children for a while. This is also her trust in you. If this student is taught well, dealing with the Russian Federation Genealogy will be a breeze."
"Don’t be so utilitarian, okay?" Huai Shi glanced: "Not everyone likes to treat students as tools!"
Luo Su seemed to not hear the sarcasm at all, just bluntly asked: "So, will you teach or not?"
"I..."
Huai Shi was at a loss for words, looked at Anna not far away, and felt a bit of a headache.
"It was you who personally took her from Mister Vitali, Huai Shi."
Luo Su observed the lively scene without concern: "They even entrusted the last sapling on the path of transformation to you, I say you should live up to their trust."
Recalling that pouting child across the wall, the couple who handed their daughter to him, a stranger, along with those residents’ blessing smiles.
Huai Shi felt a pang of melancholy.
Unable to say a word.
With a sliver of hope, Huai Shi softly asked: "Do they really have no hope of restoration?"
Luo Su slowly shook his head.
"The fact that those souls have remained until now is the result of Vitali and Pelargia’s utmost efforts, Huai Shi. Not every story can have a happy ending."
He said: "There will always be some that make people sad..."
