"So it’s a little girl this time. No wonder she’s so bold."

Immediately after, another voice spoke up.

Perry Yates turned her head in the other direction and saw a man in a Python Robe, striding with a stately gait.

Perry Yates wasn’t very interested in history—her knowledge was average, at best—and she knew even less about clothing.

But even she knew that in ancient times, a Python Robe wasn’t something an ordinary person could wear.

’So, this guy must be one of The Imperials, and a high-ranking one at that.’

Seeing that Perry Yates wasn’t the least bit afraid, the man in the cowboy getup asked curiously, "Little girl, why aren’t you scared?"

Perry Yates lifted her chin, her tone arrogant. "Why should I be scared? You can’t hurt me anyway. Did you think I didn’t know this was a trap? I walked into it on purpose. I wanted to see who was behind all this cloak-and-dagger nonsense."

Hearing Perry Yates’s words, the man in the Python Robe on the other side curled his lip into a cruel sneer. "This Prince has not heard such arrogant words in a very long time."

"Well, you’ve heard them now. You’re welcome." Perry Yates glanced at him and continued, "And stop with the ’This Prince’ this and ’This Prince’ that. Anyone who didn’t know better would think you were some ancient fossil they just dug up."

At this, a hint of mockery entered Perry Yates’s tone. "You think putting on some clothes with a dragon pattern makes you a Prince? Your ambitions are pretty pathetic. You don’t even know how to dream bigger. Coward!"

The self-proclaimed Prince was so enraged by Perry Yates that his eyes went wide. "You’re courting death!"

As he spoke, he swung a palm straight for Perry Yates’s head.

He put every ounce of his strength into that slap.

Predictably, if that slap had actually connected with her head, it would have been smashed to a pulp.

But was Perry Yates the type to just stand there and take a beating? Obviously not.

The instant the man’s palm descended, Perry Yates’s figure vanished from the spot, reappearing a moment later on a chair across the room, the restraints on her body already undone.

Both men looked utterly shocked that Perry Yates had managed to break free from her bonds so easily.

But Perry Yates paid them no mind and had no intention of explaining. Right now, she was more curious about their identities.

Because just a moment ago, she had sensed the fluctuation of cards from them.

More accurately, the cards within Perry Yates’s body had sensed the fluctuations of the cards within their bodies. This had never happened before.

"Who exactly are you?" Perry Yates asked.

’First, I can rule out them being Croupiers. Don’t ask why—call it a woman’s intuition.’

’These two harbor a deep malice toward me. They definitely aren’t Croupiers.’

’Non-Croupier Players?’

’But they have card fluctuations. Logically, Non-Croupier Players... no, wait. I don’t think it was ever stated that Non-Croupier Players can’t have cards.’

In response to Perry Yates’s question, the two men opposite her seemed to have no intention of hiding anything. Of course, it was also possible they just wanted her to die knowing the truth. So, they announced themselves: "We were once Non-Croupier Players chosen by Lord Executor. Now, we are Dealer Hunters, recognized by Lord Executor."

After speaking, the cowboy looked at Perry Yates, a brilliant smile spreading across his face. "Understand now? We are the bane of arrogant, self-important Croupiers like you. To date, I’ve killed more than fifteen Croupiers with my own hands. And you are about to become the next one.

"If you want to blame someone, blame your own overwhelming curiosity. You came looking for us. Originally, I hadn’t planned on making a move against you all so soon."

Having said his piece, the cowboy stared at Perry Yates, as if trying to find a flicker of fear in her expression.

Watching those high-and-mighty Croupiers show terror and fear before him was his favorite pastime.

However, to his disappointment, Perry Yates remained perfectly calm from beginning to end.

’To be honest, it would be a lie to say I’m not scared.’ After all, the man in front of her claimed to have killed over fifteen Croupiers. If that was true, it meant the abilities of at least fifteen Croupiers were now concentrated in him.

’Setting aside the quality of the cards, the sheer quantity alone—the equivalent of fifteen people—is enough to give me a hell of a time. And that’s not even counting the other guy standing next to him, who’s clearly no pushover either.’

But the more critical the situation, the calmer Perry Yates became. ’After all, this is just a Clone. It’s no big deal if it dies.’

So, the seemingly calm Perry Yates was actually calculating the odds of taking both of them down with her by sacrificing this Clone.

Just then, a Wind Blade suddenly shot toward Perry Yates’s position at high speed.

The next second, Perry Yates’s neck was severed in a flash. Her body was decapitated, her head flying far into the distance.

But very quickly, Perry Yates’s body, along with her severed head, swelled up like a bomb and then exploded.

The explosion wasn’t powerful enough to cause any harm to the other two people present. A cloud of white smoke from the blast instantly filled the air, obscuring their vision. When the smoke cleared, Perry Yates’s figure reappeared on the marble table, completely unharmed. She was crossing her legs, her attitude utterly insolent. "Hey, hey, hey! A sneak attack? You’re a classless act, fake Prince."

As she spoke, Perry Yates stuck her tongue out at the man who had just attacked her.

"Infinite regeneration? Your ability is truly peculiar." The cowboy stared at Perry Yates, his gaze like that of someone looking at a priceless treasure.

’It’s not infinite regeneration, it’s just a Clone.’

Perry Yates wasn’t the type to take a hit or an insult lying down. So, after finishing her taunt, without any warning, she whipped out her Spiritual Ability Gun and fired a shot straight at the Prince’s head.

The Prince easily dodged Perry Yates’s attack and sneered, "Is that it?"

However, his triumphant expression didn’t last long. The next second, he felt something entangling his feet.

Looking down, he saw that a green plant had somehow wrapped itself around his feet and was now growing rapidly, visible to the naked eye.

"A mere plant..."

He tried to break free, only to discover that the energy within his body was rapidly draining away. These plants were absorbing his energy.

"Help me!"

The Prince looked to the cowboy, waiting for his partner’s help.

Just then, the cowboy drew the pistol from his hip.

The Prince thought the cowboy was going to help him and a smile appeared on his face. However...

BANG!

After the gunshot rang out, the smile on the Prince’s face froze instantly. His body then slowly collapsed as if all its strength had vanished. On his forehead, there was a conspicuous mark left by a bullet that had passed straight through.

Even Perry Yates was caught off guard by this scene. She had intended to drive a wedge between the two of them, but she hadn’t even made her move yet.
