Apocalypse Beast Supplier: Only I Sell God-Tier Beasts
Chapter 112: Red Draconic Serpent
A calamity had escaped the Nexus. Awakened from the deepest part of the abyss in one of the rifts of the Nexus, the Red Calamity Draconic Serpent had awakened...
It seemed to be not hostile at the moment. With how quiet it was, it seemed as though it wouldn’t be attacking at any second. Hence, Winter used the precious time to prepare her troops.
Meanwhile, Terrence received the sudden system message of his mission’s success.

An overwhelming, warm surge of high-dimensional power flooded Terrence’s soul, permanently elevating his taming authority and unlocking latent capabilities that would allow his beasts to reach their absolute evolutionary peak.
Yet, despite all those incredible body changes, he didn’t pry into it or dwell on the new power, as a far greater threat of Catastrophic Level was looming right before them.
The widespread chaos it had caused as it first appeared hadn’t disappeared, and its eerie silence had surely prepared the citizens in this Hanging City for the worst.
Terrence bit his lips tightly as each second passed. He didn’t know what to do at first. He wanted to use his vast knowledge, but what could he actually use it for against such an impossible, legendary beast?
He took a deep breath to steady his racing heart.
’A beast is still a beast. Can I try to capture it with the Beast Net?’
Terrence nodded firmly to himself as he summoned Noir to his side.
Behind him were panicking citizens, and their terrified noise filled his ears. But his eyes remained completely unwavering as he took a decisive step forward with that small, risky plan.
’This clears out all of my initial preparation. Shit.’ Terrence chuckled dryly inside, acting as if he wasn’t facing an existential threat.
Just one wrong move—if the draconic serpent bashed its massive body against the city—the steel frames and supporting cables would surely collapse immediately.
Hence, with that extreme risk present, many people had already begun fleeing out of the Hanging City. Those who couldn’t do anything to defend themselves—kids, the elderly, and sick people—were lifted up on small emergency platforms out of the main city level.
Yet, despite the panic, there was still a semblance of order, which was the most important ingredient for everyone’s safety during an evacuation.
The catastrophic vibrations grew stronger as the monster moved, slithering slowly in the mid-air forward toward the massive cracks in the ground, right beside the floating platforms of the Hanging City.
The Hanging City’s metallic cables and heavy platforms creaked and groaned loudly under the immense tension and the sudden change of pressure in the atmosphere.
The colossal draconic serpent had single-handedly altered the very air in the city.
In the center of the plaza was a tense mix of chaos and order. Despite most people heading straight to the escape platforms out of the city, there were still some who were lost and didn’t know what to do.
Due to their widespread panic, some of the dedicated city officers visited each floor just to make sure every single citizen could evacuate safely.
The fragile equilibrium had stayed stretched for almost an hour, and almost everyone had successfully evacuated as well, except for the brave people who wanted to protect their long, historical Hanging City.
Groaning in a heavily battered condition, the Human Beast—who indeed had the striking physical appearance of a human—approached Terrence while the young man was actively calculating his way closer to the draconic serpent.
"What are you planning to do, human?"
Terrence instinctively glanced at the Human Beast and immediately understood that this was the ancient guardian of the Hanging City.
Judging by how enigmatic the creature looked and how incredibly dense it was with raw mana, this entity was definitely not any normal human.
"Guardian, I pay my respects to you," Terrence said calmly. He didn’t forget to show proper respect toward an ancient being, or at least someone possessing a bloodline of such ancient origin.
"I am a beast, not a human," the Guardian growled softly.
"Nevertheless, you are the true guardian of this city. So, I have to pay my respects," Terrence reasoned, holding his ground.
The Human Beast stared down at him, his face still heavily scarred and scratched from the entire chaos he had endured deep down near the cracked earth’s surface.
"Answer my former question."
"Ah." Terrence straightened his back. "I am thinking of a way to divert it away from the city. And also, a way to approach it closer. I want to try something."
"Whatever it is," the Human Beast immediately interjected, his eyes widening in alarm, "do not try approaching it! Its scales are far too tough, so it is completely impossible to kill it!"
Terrence shook his head. He didn’t plan on killing it anyway. And of course, with the current arsenal he had on hand, he couldn’t just damage this kind of mythical beast.
He had already known that fact immediately as soon as he laid eyes on the colossal draconic serpent. Even with the help of his formidable, reliable beasts, they couldn’t just defeat it through plain fighting. So, he had to at least try his luck on capturing it directly.
"I will be right back." Terrence ignored any further warnings from the Human Beast and started running straight toward the outer edge of the city’s floor platform.
The Human Beast reached out an arm to stop Terrence, but could only groan in agony and freeze up from the intense physical pain. He simply couldn’t exert enough force in his broken body.
"Stop, human! You are putting us all in severe danger!"
But Terrence had already jumped straight down from the floor, leaping far away from the metallic platform of the city and free-falling into the open air with the Beast Net held firmly in hand.
His calculated projectile motion was enough to land him somewhere right on top of the slithering draconic serpent. So, even if he failed to capture it on the first attempt, he could simply rely on Avery to ensure his safety in mid-air.
