These stubby legs, stubby arms, and this chubby little body... To be honest, they really made it hard to move.

That was the conclusion Moira Lynch reached after walking for just a few minutes.

Probably because her body was so round, Moira Lynch was already a little breathless after just a few steps.

She looked at the giant lily pads in the pond, just a few meters away.

Moira Lynch’s original plan was to use her jumping ability to hop across the lily pads and find the Dada Ducks.

But now...

It seemed that plan wouldn’t work.

’Looks like that’s not going to work,’ Moira Lynch thought, disappointed.

She then walked to the pond’s edge and dipped a small paw in to test the water temperature.

’Good, the water isn’t too cold. It’s tolerable.’

Just as Moira Lynch was about to jump in and swim to find the Dada Ducks, one of the green lily pads nearby began to move on its own.

The lily pad slowly drifted toward the bank, eventually stopping right in front of Moira Lynch.

A moment later, a head poked out from under the lily pad. "You’re here for the Cheese Grass, right?" it asked. "The Dada Ducks always delivered it in past years. Why have you come in person today?"

From its familiar tone, Moira Lynch could tell it was well aware of the arrangement between the Dindalons and the Dada Ducks.

It even seemed very familiar with Dindalons.

At this thought, Moira Lynch grew wary.

It wasn’t that she was afraid the creature before her would harm her.

The moment it appeared, Patience had already sent all of its data to Moira Lynch.

Lilypad Tortoise.

Their shells resemble lily pads, and after they reach a certain age, their shells can even be used as transportation on water.

As a result, Lilypad Tortoises are often seen in tourist spots with bodies of water.

Based on the size Patience had provided, Moira Lynch determined that this Lilypad Tortoise must still be young, but it would be more than large enough to carry her.

However, Moira Lynch was worried about something else now: whether or not her disguise would be seen through.

If she was found out, the mission would be a failure.

Considering the Lilypad Tortoise’s question, Moira Lynch chose her words carefully. "I’m not really sure myself," she said. "The Dada Ducks just told us that if we want Cheese Grass, we have to come get it in person."

As she said this, Moira Lynch put on a very indignant expression.

But Dindalons were an inherently cute species. Even when angry, they had no combat presence whatsoever. They just looked soft, fluffy, and easy to bully.

Seeing Moira Lynch’s expression, the Lilypad Tortoise said, "Oh, so that’s what happened. But the Dada Ducks must have their reasons. By the way, didn’t you run into any trouble on your way here?"

"Of course I did," Moira Lynch replied, still looking puffed up with indignation. "But the ability I awakened is Danger Perception, so I can predict when danger is coming. I managed to avoid it all."

The Danger Perception ability could be a Divine Skill if used well, but useless if not. Since Dindalons were naturally timid and had no fighting prowess, many of them awakened this particular ability.

After hearing Moira Lynch’s explanation, the Lilypad Tortoise finally nodded. "I see," it said. "You probably can’t swim, right? How about this: jump onto my back, and I’ll carry you over. But you’ll have to pay me one silver coin for the ride."

With that, the Lilypad Tortoise turned around, presenting its back as if to tell Moira Lynch to hurry up and climb on.

Moira Lynch took in the scene, having noticed the Lilypad Tortoise’s slight movements.

However, her priority right now was completing the mission. She could turn a blind eye to such harmless trifles; there was no need to dwell on them.

So, after a moment’s thought, Moira Lynch took a few small steps and climbed onto the Lilypad Tortoise’s back.

’Can’t be helped. Even if this is just a disguise, I still don’t want to get my fur wet.’

The Lilypad Tortoise felt the weight on its back. Once Moira Lynch was settled, it began carrying her toward the center of the pond.

"By the way, you mentioned the Dada Ducks had their reasons. Do you happen to know what they are?" Moira Lynch asked, feigning nonchalance.

"I’m not too sure about that myself, but I did overhear something. A while ago, the Dada Ducks apparently lost a large number of their warriors, causing their population to drop sharply. They’re probably making you come in person because they’re short-staffed."

After hearing the Lilypad Tortoise’s explanation, Moira Lynch muttered, "Short-staffed, huh?"

’If that’s the case, then it all makes sense.’

’Furthermore, the Dada Ducks are demanding that the Dindalons come in person. If the Lilypad Tortoise wasn’t lying, then this loss of Dada Ducks is probably related to the clients who order the Cheese Grass.’

Just then, Moira Lynch suddenly felt the Lilypad Tortoise begin to slow down.

She looked around. The water’s surface was unremarkable, but below it, the area was thick with aquatic plants.

Moira Lynch studied the plants and noticed they had a very unique appearance.

The leaves were slightly curled, like freshly roasted tea leaves. Even though they were submerged in the water, she could clearly see they were coated in a transparent substance.

Upon entering this area, the Lilypad Tortoise’s movements became extremely gentle, as if it were afraid of disturbing something.

Without Moira Lynch even having to ask, Patience had already pulled up information on the aquatic plants.

[Cheese Water Grass: Highly nutritious and a favorite of small Beastkin like the Dindalons. It provides them with essential micronutrients. However, it requires extremely high water quality, has a very low yield, and a maturation period of only one month per year. Only the tenderest tips are edible.]

’So this is Cheese Grass. After all that, it turns out it’s an aquatic plant.’

"Can I eat it, then?" Moira Lynch asked internally.

[Yes. Cheese Water Grass is highly nutritious and delicious. At the Stellar Restaurant, Stir-fried Cheese Grass is an extremely popular dish.

To prepare it, the dish only requires blanching for eight seconds and a touch of seasoning. After all, high-end ingredients often require only the simplest preparation.]

Moira Lynch’s eyes lit up when she heard from Patience that it was edible.

’As for the water quality issue, the water inside my space can definitely meet the Cheese Water Grass’s growth requirements.’

’And it’s not just my space. There’s an environment on Cloudsea Planet that could support Cheese Water Grass, too.’

’It’s near that mutated Elf Tree.’

’Somehow, that Elf Tree managed to turn the surrounding seawater into fresh, clear water that’s pure enough to drink.’
