In truth, some animals on Caelus had indeed awakened talents, but they were all in foreign countries.

Those places weren’t as stable as Cathaya. Food and clothing were scarce, and the environment was much harsher.

It was a matter of natural selection, exacerbated by human hunters.

Perhaps for that very reason, the animals there were more likely to awaken talents.

In any case, Moira Lynch had yet to discover a single animal in Cathaya that had awakened a talent.

Of course, there was another possibility: the weather was too cold, and they were all in hiding.

But I’m getting sidetracked.

After people in other countries discovered and captured these animals with awakened talents, their first instinct was to find Moira Lynch to trade them for food.

Patience was the one managing the shop, and since Moira herself didn’t check her private messages often, she only learned about these things from Patience later.

However, most of these animals were rats, snakes, and the like, along with wild buffalo that grew giant horns and boars whose hair could stand on end like a porcupine’s.

Moira Lynch found these animals too ugly and simply sold them all in a bundle to the base.

Just as everyone was captivated by the calico cat, that spine-tingling meow echoed once more.

"Meeoow~"

Previously, they thought the sound had come from the calico, since cats are known for being coquettish creatures with cutesy voices.

But when they followed the sound with their eyes, they saw Kai York’s precious son, Abu, crouched under the table. His blue eyes were as beautiful as sapphires.

"Abu!"

Kai York bent down to pick Abu up, but the cat nimbly dodged him.

"Meeoow~"

Abu meowed again, and only then did the group realize he wasn’t meowing at them.

He was facing the direction the calico cat had just left.

This scene stirred a distant memory in Kai York’s mind. ’It couldn’t be what I’m thinking, could it?’

"Moira, is my Abu in love with that calico cat?" Kai York asked.

That calico was as beautiful as a little fairy, so she could just barely be considered a match for his good son.

That’s right. Even though Moira Lynch had already told him the truth, Kai York remained steadfast in his belief that his good son was the absolute best, and he would not accept any refutation.

However, the moment he finished speaking, Moira Lynch’s words were like a basin of cold water poured over his head.

"Abu is simping for the calico. No, he’s a simp cat."

At these words, Kai York snatched Abu, who was about to chase after the calico, and lectured him with an exasperated look, "You’re a Ragdoll Cat worth over ten thousand! Can’t you have a little self-respect?"

Abu, the Ragdoll Cat being told by his dear old dad to have some self-respect, struggled a few times. Finding he couldn’t break free, he let out an impatient cry.

"MROW!!!!"

"What did he just say?" Kai York asked, looking at Moira Lynch.

"His language is too filthy for me to translate for you. In short, just know that he’s cursing you out," Moira Lynch said.

Seeing his good son’s eyes constantly glancing toward the door, Kai York heaved a deep sigh and let Abu go.

"Forget it. A grown son has a mind of his own. Go, pursue your happiness."

The moment he was free, Abu shot out with a SWOOSH, without a hint of hesitation.

Watching Abu’s retreating figure, Kai York asked, "Boss, what do you think are the chances my Abu succeeds in his courtship?"

"Zero."

It was Hugh Finch who spoke this time.

"Animals have their own aesthetic standards. We humans look at appearances and looks, but animals prioritize survival. Not to mention, that calico has awakened a talent and is clearly more intelligent. Do you think a phoenix would fall for a pheasant?"

"My Abu is outstanding, too! Right, Moira? As the calico’s owner, you should approve of this marriage."

His good son was a lost cause, so he, the father, decided to take a different approach and win over the mother-in-law first.

Moira Lynch gave Kai York a look and said meaningfully, "That calico cat is only three months old."

The implication was that it was still just a kitten.

"No way, a three-month-old kitten is that big?" Kai York’s face was full of disbelief.

"It’s a kitten that’s awakened a talent, after all. You can’t treat it like a normal cat. At one month old, it was already about the size of an adult cat. For the past two months, it’s only been growing its fluff, not its size."

However, Moira Lynch estimated that the calico’s body would go through a major growth spurt in the next two months.

Her spiritual power had just detected a force condensing inside the calico’s body, and it was about to reach its limit.

Its talent was on the verge of breaking through to level two.

This was one exceptionally gifted cat.

And so, the matter of finding a wife for the Ragdoll Cat Abu fell through on account of the calico being too young.

「The next day.」

Even after the hundred-lap workout, Black Wolf still refused to admit he was fat. He only said that he had spent too much time in the pocket dimension and had neglected his exercise, which was why he was like this.

Though that’s what he said, he didn’t refuse when Moira Lynch asked him to dig holes and plant trees.

His two paws moved so fast they were a blur.

Soon, a tree was dug up, roots and all.

The roots of these trees were intact, and Moira Lynch had no intention of letting them go to waste. She planned to transplant them elsewhere.

After storing the tree in her pocket dimension, Moira Lynch directly selected an apple tree from within and moved it out.

Before transplanting it, she placed a piece of Water Wood Stone in the pit.

Through her experiments, she found that the Water Wood Stone not only promoted plant growth and shortened maturation time but also made the resulting fruit more delicious.

Moira Lynch helped Black Wolf for a little while before she grew impatient, said a quick goodbye, and left.

Anyway, as long as she had her spiritual power, she could teleport the fruit trees over even if she wasn’t physically there.

Arriving at the Elf Tree House, she found Shane Rhodes and two others watching a video with serious expressions.

The video was about how to properly build a grape trellis.

This matter had started earlier that morning.

That morning, Patience had suddenly informed Moira Lynch that there were discounted items in the System Mall.

Hearing this, Moira Lynch’s eyes lit up. The last discounted item was a mushroom spore pack; she wondered what it would be this time.

She opened the game’s mall to see it was grape seeds and gourd seeds.

The grape seeds were for a variety called Seven-color Crystal Grapes, supposedly a newly developed hybrid.

One seed cost five hundred Gold Coins, and that was after a 90% discount. Moreover, there were only ten in total.

Seeing this, Moira Lynch decisively bought them all.

As for the gourd seed, there was no description of its function. Below the seed was just a single sentence: "This is a magical seed." The price was ten thousand Gold Coins.

At that, Moira Lynch decisively bought it as well. She was determined to see just how magical this seed could be.

Of the ten Seven-color Crystal Grape seeds, five were planted in her pocket dimension, four were planted on Cloudsea Planet, and the last one was to be planted at the Elf Tree House.
