It was only then that Moira Lynch realized she had drifted, without noticing, quite far from the cargo ship.

The Ghost Cat Owl must have noticed this as well and was trying to take her back to the ship.

At this thought, Moira Lynch felt much more at ease.

The cargo ship was gradually leaving The Fog Zone. A figure took flight from the vessel, his cyan wings dazzling even in the mist, shining like a cyan gemstone.

The figure flapped its cyan wings and circled the cargo ship twice, apparently searching for something.

Moira Lynch recognized the figure at a glance. It was none other than Kai York.

He must have realized she was missing, which was why he was searching all over.

At that thought, just as Moira Lynch was about to call out to get Kai York’s attention, she subconsciously glanced behind her.

As she moved further from the edge of the mist, the vast expanse of Ghost Flowers behind her began to blur.

’What a shame. Those Ghost Flowers are valuable.’

The value Moira Lynch was referring to was purely superficial.

Although the Ghost Flower was entirely poisonous, its stunning beauty and rarity were undeniable.

It was like the Siren Serpent; you know it’s poisonous and that getting too close could be fatal, yet you can’t help but be drawn to its beauty, becoming hopelessly captivated.

The Ghost Flower possessed just that kind of charm.

That was why the highly toxic Ghost Flower was quite popular in the noble circles of the interstellar community, especially among The Royals.

They had a particular fondness for things others couldn’t afford or didn’t dare to raise, as if it were the only way to flaunt their extraordinary status.

Unfortunately, Moira Lynch’s spiritual power had been useless inside the fog; otherwise, she absolutely would have snatched some Ghost Flowers to take back with her.

They would be excellent choices, whether for giving as gifts, selling for profit, or even poisoning someone.

"Such a shame."

Lying on the Ghost Cat Owl’s back, Moira Lynch couldn’t hide the disappointment in her eyes.

Just as she thought she was about to miss her chance with the Ghost Flowers, she suddenly realized something: her spiritual power seemed to be back to normal.

Without a moment to wonder why, Moira Lynch immediately unleashed her spiritual power and pulled the nearest patch of Ghost Flowers into her space.

Ghost Flowers bloom on the ocean’s surface, but they’re completely toxic. Naturally, Moira Lynch couldn’t put them in her miniature ocean, as she was raising quite a few fish in there.

After all, the heirlooms she planned to pass down to future generations were being raised in there.

Luckily, when she was processing fish earlier, she had filled several portable swimming pools with a good amount of seawater.

Even after all the fish had been processed and dried, she hadn’t bothered to dump the water from the pools, figuring it might come in handy someday.

In truth, she was just too lazy to dump it.

Now, they were perfect. The Ghost Flowers had a move-in-ready home.

Just then, Kai York, in the distance, noticed the activity in her direction.

However, since Moira Lynch was lying flat on the Ghost Cat Owl’s back, he didn’t see her at first—only the massive bird flying their way.

Its sharp talons and beak glinted coldly in the sun, and its piercing gaze was enough to make one’s heart pound in terror.

Seeing this, Kai York immediately warned the others on the ship, telling them to get ready.

While this bird wasn’t as big as the Gigas Crab from before, it could fly. That alone made it potentially more dangerous.

A small tornado began to form in Kai York’s hand, his eyes burning with anger. When he’d realized Moira was missing and couldn’t find her anywhere, Hugh Finch had performed a divination. The result was that she was in a place surrounded by water and filled with lethal danger.

They were on a cargo ship at sea. If Moira was in a place surrounded by water, it didn’t take a genius to figure out she had most likely fallen into the ocean.

After hearing this, Kai York and the others had immediately started searching. But after a full sweep, they hadn’t found so much as a single fish, let alone a person.

Just as Kai York was about to head into the fog to search, he spotted the large bird approaching.

Kai York was in no mood for this creature that was wasting his precious time.

In fact, he was more than annoyed; he was ready to take out his frustration on it.

As the tornado in his hand solidified, ready for a swift resolution, he suddenly noticed that there seemed to be a person on the great bird’s back.

On closer inspection, the person looked vaguely familiar.

At that moment, Moira Lynch, sitting up on the Ghost Cat Owl’s back, waved at Kai York.

Kai York flew over to Moira Lynch. Seeing that she was completely unharmed, he let out a sigh of relief. Only then did he remember the massive bird she was riding.

"Did this big bird save you?"

"More or less," Moira Lynch said after a moment’s thought. "It’s not a good place to talk. Let’s discuss it back on the ship."

"Okay."

A few minutes later, the Ghost Cat Owl landed on the deck of the cargo ship. Its enormous form instantly caused a commotion.

Many people stared at the massive bird of prey, their eyes filled with a mixture of curiosity and apprehension.

The Ghost Cat Owl seemed to pay the onlookers no mind. It stood behind Moira Lynch, tilting its head occasionally. With its large, round eyes and round head, it almost looked cute.

At least, that’s what Moira Lynch thought.

To everyone else, the Ghost Cat Owl was a terrifying sight: its massive size, sharp talons and beak, and piercing eyes were bad enough. But most unnervingly, its head could swivel a full 360 degrees.

At that moment, Shane Rhodes, Hugh Finch, Joy Rhodes, Caden York, and Kai York, who had just landed, all rushed over.

Shane Rhodes was the first to speak. "How did you suddenly fall into the sea?"

"I was pushed. It was that MoonlitTears," Moira Lynch stated plainly.

Hearing the name MoonlitTears, the group paused for a moment, digging through their memories to place the name.

"Her? She’s still alive?" This time it was Caden York who spoke.

Although Moira Lynch and Kai York had used MoonlitTears to get away before, the woman had genuinely been trying to kill them.

So, even though they knew Moira Lynch and Kai York were safe, Shane Rhodes and the others hadn’t shown any mercy to the ones who had attacked them, including MoonlitTears.

Because infighting was forbidden on the cargo ship, Shane Rhodes and the others had, on the surface, only given MoonlitTears and her group a harsh lesson, beating them to within an inch of their lives.

But in secret, the ones who had attacked Moira Lynch and Kai York had begun to disappear one by one, all due to "accidents."

Everyone knew Shane Rhodes’s group was behind it, but no one intervened. After all, those people had made the first move. What was happening to them now was just them reaping what they’d sown.

Besides, if those people were willing to attack others today, they could easily use the same methods against them tomorrow. No one wanted to keep a viper in their midst.
