"How could you do this? We’re all players from the same planet. While the rest of us are in the cafeteria eating that disgusting food, you’re out here sneaking a private meal. It’s truly disheartening."

MoonlitTears looked at Moira Lynch and her friends with a condemning gaze.

"Oh? So what do you think we should do? Just hand over all our things for you to use, no questions asked? How about that?"

"Hmph. At least you know your place."

The General, as if completely missing the sarcasm in Joy Rhodes’s tone, held out his hand and declared righteously, "In light of your little secret feast, I’ll be confiscating these things for safekeeping. From now on, you’ll eat last every meal. Consider it punishment for your behavior today."

The moment he finished speaking, a bolt of purple lightning struck the ground right at The General’s feet, forcing him to jump back a few steps.

"These things are ours. If you want some, trade for it with something else. You really think you’re some kind of commander giving out orders? Shameless."

Hearing those mocking words, The General’s expression instantly turned hideous.

"What’s that supposed to mean?!"

"Exactly what it sounds like. If you can’t understand that, you must not have even graduated from kindergarten."

"Moira, how could you say that? It’s so rude." Kai York said with a look of reproach. "You’ll make the kindergarteners cry. They’ll say you’re discriminating against them."

After hearing that, Moira suppressed a laugh and, with an expression of someone ready to correct their mistake, said, "Alright, let me rephrase. If you can’t even understand *that*, when your mom gave birth, did she throw out the baby and raise the placenta instead?"

The General saw red. His hands transformed into a scythe, and he slashed toward Moira.

In a flash, Hugh Finch whipped out the Gun of Destruction and fired a shot into The General’s arm.

The next second, the arm that had become a scythe vanished into nothingness.

"AHHH!!!"

The bloodcurdling scream echoed across the entire deck.

Everyone saw The General’s missing arm. Black smoke was even rising from the wound.

The crowd was stunned by the scene. They couldn’t help but take a few steps back, their gazes fixed on Hugh Finch in terror.

Or more accurately, on the gun in his hand.

’What a powerful item. It took out The General’s arm in a single shot.’

’By the looks of it, it’s hard to say if it can even be restored. After all, the entire arm is just gone.’

If an arm is cut off, you can pick up the severed limb and reattach it. But this arm completely disappeared. There’s nothing to reattach even if you wanted to.

Perhaps a Medicine from SoySauceDrunkard’s "Don’t Miss It" shop could regenerate the limb.

But as everyone knew, the items in the "Don’t Miss It" shop were always in high demand.

Everything, especially the Medicine, was sold out in seconds as soon as it was stocked.

For an ordinary person to snag the Medicine they wanted, it was all down to speed and luck.

Seeing this, MoonlitTears quickly recovered from her brief, stunned shock and stepped in front of The General.

"Wait! I apologize on The General’s behalf for what just happened. We never wanted to take your things. We just saw that the food the other players were eating was barely edible, so... Maybe what we did was wrong, but our intentions were good."

In essence, MoonlitTears was saying that even though they wanted the fishing gear and grill, it wasn’t for their own benefit, but for everyone’s. She was admitting they were wrong, but arguing that they hadn’t done anything to deserve death.

The other players, who had been shocked by Hugh Finch’s actions, were suddenly moved by MoonlitTears’s speech.

This wave of emotion overcame their fear. Though they still didn’t dare to do anything, they began to look at Moira and her group with eyes full of condemnation and disapproval.

Of course, not everyone was swayed. There were smart players in the crowd who had long been fed up with The General. ’We’re all players, what gives him the right to boss us around?’

Not only that, but The General had even wanted to collect all their equipment, food, and items to be held by him for "unified distribution."

Thankfully, others had managed to refuse him, using Moira’s group as an excuse.

There had been many other similar incidents.

For the past half-month, The General had constantly been suppressing them, trying to establish himself as the leader. They had only yielded due to his superior strength.

Now, seeing him suffer a defeat, they could barely contain their glee.

Besides, only a brainless idiot would fall for MoonlitTears’s little speech.

’As if they didn’t know what The General was really thinking.’

Hugh Finch’s initial thought was to kill him and silence him for good. After what had just happened, any pretense of civility was gone.

’Honestly, leaving a person like that on the ship is like keeping a ticking time bomb on board.’

However, faced with the choice between eliminating the root of the problem and temporarily de-escalating the situation, Hugh Finch chose the latter.

’That last shot could be explained as self-defense. But if I press the attack and finish him off, my group will likely become public enemy number one for all the other players.’

With this in mind, Hugh Finch put away the Gun of Destruction. With a cool expression, he said, "Get lost."

The other players let out a collective sigh of relief and turned to leave, all their previous aggressive, accusatory momentum gone.

Meanwhile, The General, supported by MoonlitTears, struggled to turn and leave.

The General’s head was bowed, his expression hidden, but it was surely an ugly one.

After today’s incident, the authority he had worked so hard to build was shattered in an instant.

Moreover, with the loss of an arm, his combat power was cut in half.

MoonlitTears, however, made a point of looking back at Hugh Finch as she left. A flash of pink light crossed her dark eyes.

Just then, Moira Lynch suddenly pulled a pair of sunglasses from her inventory. In a flash, she slapped them onto Hugh Finch’s face. "I think these sunglasses suit you perfectly, don’t you?"

"Could you be a little gentler next time?"

Hugh Finch rubbed the bridge of his nose and straightened the slightly crooked sunglasses.

"What just happened?" he asked quietly.

"That MoonlitTears just tried to use a charm on you," Moira explained.

’MoonlitTears must have been impressed by Hugh Finch’s performance. With The General now half-crippled, she probably wants to find herself a new bodyguard.’

’And Hugh Finch, who had crippled The General in a single blow, was the perfect candidate.’

’But with me around, never mind a simple charm; any kind of mental attack is useless.’

"In that case, aren’t you and Hugh in a lot of danger? Wait a minute, isn’t her talent supposed to be Healing?"
