She shook her head, tossing aside those strange thoughts.

Then, Moira Lynch had Patience pull up a map.

She had originally planned to go to the nearest junkyard, since Moira had collected a lot of good things there last time.

But while checking her position, she discovered that a bread factory was even closer.

After comparing the distances, Moira Lynch decisively chose the bread factory.

Ten minutes later, Moira Lynch stood before a large iron gate.

Looking at the large iron gate before her, she thought, ’With gaps this big, who is this supposed to keep out?’

She took two steps forward, and a mechanical voice sounded from a distance.

"This is the Star Bread Factory. Please present your pass to enter."

A pass? ’I don’t have one of those.’

But she did have a badge.

Moira Lynch removed her badge and waved it back and forth in her hand.

After a moment, the gate emitted a BEEP.

"Recycler identity confirmed. No danger detected. Access granted."

As the voice faded, Moira Lynch watched the gate slowly open and thought, ’This is all a bit much. I could have just walked right in.’

But that was just a thought. Moira Lynch waited for the gate to open completely before stepping inside.

Unlike the other factories she had seen, this Star Bread Factory was remarkably empty.

She checked the time. ’Ah, it’s the lunch break. Everyone must be eating or resting. No wonder there’s no one here.’

Moira Lynch scanned her surroundings, her gaze quickly landing on a silver robot not far away.

Sensing her approach, the robot scanned her up and down. After spotting the badge on her chest, its red eyes turned green.

"Respected Recycler, please follow me."

The robot led Moira Lynch to the back of the factory, where rows of warehouses stood.

A steady stream of large trucks moved in and out of the warehouses, transporting finished Star Bread to various destinations.

Across the galaxy, Star Bread was a best-selling product. Affordable, delicious, and high-quality, it was a favorite among many Starfarers.

But even the most popular products sometimes suffer from overproduction.

As a company with incredibly strict quality standards, any products that failed inspection were never sold to the public.

Before Moira Lynch stood the warehouses. Some, which were currently in use, were filled with fresh Star Bread. Others, with their doors sealed shut, contained bread that was either nearing its expiration date or had failed inspection.

"It’s all yours from here. Since it’s just you, just do what you can. Don’t push yourself too hard."

After all, the company would be liable for compensation if anything happened to her.

Moira Lynch nodded, thinking, ’Oh, I won’t. This isn’t hard at all.’

She walked up to one of the warehouse doors and forcefully pushed it open.

Before she could get a clear look inside, a dark shadow fell toward her from above.

In response, Moira Lynch confidently reached out a hand and caught it.

She looked closely. It was a Star Bread, about the size of her face.

She checked the date. It would expire in half a month.

’Looks like this warehouse is for the bread nearing its expiration date.’

Without a moment’s hesitation, she unleashed her spiritual power and began pulling the bread before her into her space.

Just as Moira Lynch was busy collecting the bread, she suddenly sensed a strange ripple from within her space.

A moment later, Snowy’s figure appeared before her.

"Oh, you’re awake."

Snowy nodded.

Snowy was no longer the round furball from before. Its body was now slender, about the size of an ordinary adult fox, and its nine tails were nothing short of magnificent.

Looking at Snowy now, Moira Lynch could finally understand the Last King of Shang. Who wouldn’t be completely captivated?

Moira Lynch gazed at Snowy’s snow-white fur, her hands itching to pet it.

But then she glanced at the mountain of bread behind her and quickly shook her head.

’No, no. I have more important things to do.’

’Fluff can be petted anytime. This can’t wait.’

"Since you’re here, you can help."

Snowy, who had been waiting for Moira Lynch’s praise, now had a look of utter confusion on its fluffy face, a flash of disbelief in its eyes.

Its expression seemed to say, ’Am I not beautiful enough for you?’

In the end, Snowy chose to help.

With its help, two hours later, every last loaf of unsalable bread in the Star Bread Factory had been cleared out.

Snowy came up to Moira Lynch, held one of its tails up to her, and let out a displeased yelp.

Looking down, she saw that a patch of white fur on Snowy’s tail had gotten dirty at some point.

At the sight, Moira Lynch took a clean, damp towel from her space and wiped Snowy’s tail.

"There, all the dirt has flown away."

Hearing Moira Lynch’s baby talk, Snowy gave her a deadpan look, one that all but had the four words "you are so childish" written across its face.

Then it looked at the spot dampened by the towel and gave it a few licks with its tongue.

Seeing its woeful expression, Moira Lynch suggested, "Do you want to go back inside?"

Since its creation, Snowy had lived exclusively within the space.

At this, Snowy shook its head firmly. "No. The Big Lion said you protect me too much. He said I need to come out and get used to the outside world, or I’ll just hold you back later."

Hearing this from Snowy, Moira Lynch fell silent for a moment before agreeing with its choice.

She had read before that a Spiritual Body and its master were intrinsically linked, forming a single whole. If one was too strong while the other was too weak, it would be extremely detrimental to their future advancement.

Moira Lynch had originally felt that Snowy was still too newly created, and she wanted it to have a happy infancy.

Beyond that, there was another reason: Moira Lynch had no idea how to train a Spiritual Body.

Caelus’s current environment wasn’t exactly a warzone, but with all the natural disasters, one couldn’t call it safe either.

The main test was one’s survival ability, not combat ability.

Even in the game, she was just working odd jobs, so there was basically no danger. On the rare occasion that something did happen, Moira Lynch could handle it herself, leaving no need for her Spiritual Body, Snowy, to intervene.

"Alright. Then you can stay by my side from now on."

Not long after the woman and the fox left the Star Bread Factory, a strangely dressed person appeared in the same spot.

He held a strange instrument in his hands, constantly running tests in the vicinity of the Star Bread Factory.

After a long moment, about a hundred meters from the Star Bread Factory, the instrument in his hands began to emit a steady BEEP BEEP BEEP.
