The livestream chat was in an uproar, but Moonchaser clearly wasn’t in the mood to pay attention to any of it.

He discovered that his stats had taken a nosedive. His health was also continuously draining, and it was about to hit zero.

Just then, the draining of his health suddenly stopped, but Moonchaser couldn’t bring himself to smile.

He discovered that his red health bar had turned blue, and his body, which had been slowing down, was gradually becoming completely immobile.

Finally, he became an ice sculpture.

[Ice and Snow Seal: As a favored child of ice and snow, the Snow Maiden is naturally blessed and loved by the elements. All who earn her ire will be made to pay a heavy price by the ice and snow.

Duration: Thirty days]

Soon, news of Moonchaser’s fate was posted on the Astranet by viewers from the livestream, spreading like wildfire across the major gaming forums.

Besides lamenting Moonchaser’s misfortune, people also grew more curious about the Snow Maiden.

However, these people didn’t dare get any ideas about the Snow Maiden anymore. After all, none of them wanted to experience Moonchaser’s fate for themselves.

Of course, not everyone was scared off after seeing what happened to Moonchaser. Quite a few were still captivated by the Snow Maiden’s combat prowess.

If they could capture and tame her as a pet, or make her a follower, she would undoubtedly be a powerful asset.

Besides, these people considered themselves far superior to Moonchaser. Just because he couldn’t do it didn’t mean they couldn’t.

Wasting no time, they immediately gathered a large party and headed for The Northlands in a great procession.

At that moment, Moira Lynch had no idea that after learning of her exploits, quite a few people were now coveting her.

After teaching that player a lesson, she instantly felt much more relieved.

She checked the time. Twelve hours had passed, with another twelve to go to reach the twenty-four-hour mark.

For the rest of the time until daybreak the next day, Moira Lynch received no more distress calls from players or NPCs. Seizing the opportunity, she decided to properly explore the area.

As the Snow Maiden she was currently roleplaying, Moira Lynch took out a blue stone engraved with inscrutable symbols and a key made of ice.

Looking at the two items, Moira Lynch guessed they were probably the loot that would drop if someone defeated her.

’But what are these two things for?’

’I know the key is obviously for unlocking something, but this stone...’

’Based on my many years of experience reading novels, watching dramas, and playing games, this stone has to be special.’

Moira Lynch held the stone in her hand, turning it over and over, examining it from every angle.

Suddenly, she noticed what seemed to be a protrusion on its side.

She reached out and pressed it. In the next second, the ordinary-looking stone was instantly engulfed in blue light.

Immediately after, a beam of blue light shot out from the stone, projecting a map in front of Moira Lynch.

’This looks like a map of The Northlands. And the coordinates on it...’

Moira Lynch saw that the location of the coordinates wasn’t too far from her. Since she had nothing better to do, she figured she might as well go and see what was there.

’After all, this stone is technically my character’s property. Going to check on my own assets shouldn’t be considered OOC, right?’

With that thought, Moira Lynch headed in the direction of the coordinates.

About an hour later, she finally reached her destination.

The main problem was Moira Lynch’s terrible sense of direction. With nothing around to use for orientation, she kept wandering off course.

Moira Lynch looked at the natural ice cave before her and stepped inside.

Along the way, Moira Lynch saw many creatures frozen in the ice. They had their fanged mouths wide open, posed as if ready to attack.

For some reason, Moira Lynch felt that these creatures weren’t dead; they were still alive. The proof was in their eyes.

From the moment she entered, she felt countless pairs of eyes fixed on her.

’Based on my years of gaming experience, if a player came here, these creatures would probably revive instantly. But since I’m an NPC, and the Snow Maiden at that, they haven’t revived. They’re just watching me silently.’

’Still, being watched by who-knows-how-many pairs of eyes is pretty creepy.’

Moira Lynch couldn’t help but shiver, and she quickened her pace.

It had to be said that her identity as the Snow Maiden provided a great deal of convenience; she hadn’t been attacked once along the entire path.

When she reached the final destination, Moira Lynch stared at the scene inside. This place... it looked like... her boudoir.

To be more precise, it was the Snow Maiden’s boudoir.

Moira Lynch looked at the furnishings; there were clear signs that someone had lived here.

After looking around, she confirmed it. This was the Snow Maiden’s boudoir.

’So after all that, the creatures didn’t attack me not because I’m the Snow Maiden, but because this is my home.’

Remembering the key made of ice, Moira Lynch began to search around.

After a while, she finally found a locked box under the bed, emanating waves of cold air.

Moira Lynch inserted the key into the lock. With a gentle turn, the box made a "CLICK" sound, and the lid slowly opened.

A palm-sized blue snowflake floated out of the box and hovered in front of Moira Lynch.

[Ice Flower Token: A player possessing this Token can summon the Snow Maiden to assist in battle. If the Snow Maiden’s favorability toward you exceeds two hundred, this Token can be used as a medium to form a master-servant contract with her!]

Moira Lynch read the Token’s description. ’What kind of Ice Flower Token is this? It’s a straight-up backstabbing Token!’

’Can I destroy this thing?’

Just as Moira Lynch was pondering how to destroy it without a trace, another notification suddenly appeared before her.

[Special player identity detected. The Ice Flower Token is automatically evolving into the Ice and Snow Token.

Ice and Snow Token: Unique Item.

Effect: Command ice and snow.]

’Player? I’m an NPC!’

Before Moira Lynch could even react, the newly evolved Ice and Snow Token flew before her and transformed into a beam of light that entered her body.

A moment later, the Ice and Snow Token had completely fused with Moira Lynch. She felt as if something was about to grow out of her palm.

She opened her palm, and a Magic Wand made of ice appeared in her hand.

Not only that, but even Moira Lynch’s appearance as the Snow Maiden changed.

Before, her look was predominantly white, making her resemble a sprite in the snow. But now...

Moira Lynch looked down at her ice-blue, floor-length gown. Her hair had also turned blue and was no longer loosely draped but elegantly styled. She had transformed from a sprite into a queen.
