Chapter 360 - 350: Bringing in Chickens, Ducks, and Geese

Before going to sleep, Moira Lynch specifically had Shane Rhodes unleash a few thunderclaps in the courtyard.

Poor Shane Rhodes. First, he was completely drained by Kai York, and now, just when he finally got a chance to rest, Moira Lynch dragged him up to work again.

At Moira Lynch’s request, Shane Rhodes kept striking the ground with lightning for a full fifteen minutes before stopping.

It was a good thing their courtyard was soundproofed; otherwise, who knows how many people would have lost sleep from the noise.

However, Moira Lynch had forgotten that while the sound could be blocked, the flashes of lightning could not.

So, that day, quite a few people saw the spectacle and wondered what on earth was going on.

The next day, Moira Lynch looked out the window and saw a flock of Snow Ducks swaggering around the courtyard, patrolling their territory.

After just one night, it seemed the Snow Ducks had already completely adapted.

The young Snow Ducks were incredibly cute. Their bodies were pure white, and from a distance, they looked just like little snowballs.

As time went on, the Snow Ducks’ white down would gradually turn into feathers.

Moira Lynch had seen what adult Snow Ducks looked like. Rather than ducks, they actually bore a stronger resemblance to swans.

They looked even sturdier than swans, though.

The eggs laid by Snow Ducks were a whole size larger than goose eggs.

Additionally, Snow Ducks were capable of flight, so those who raised them usually clipped their wings to prevent them from flying away.

’As for these few Snow Ducks, they’re still too small. Wing clipping can wait until they’re older.’

Besides, with the protective shield in place, the Snow Ducks probably couldn’t escape anyway.

In addition to these, Moira Lynch bought many more Treasure Chickens and Snow Ducks, raising some in her space and some on Cloudsea Planet.

Cloudsea Planet was completely transformed from what it once was. With Qio Vine’s help, some of the closer islands had even been connected into a single landmass.

So Moira Lynch thought, ’Since it’s just sitting there, I might as well raise some Snow Ducks on it. Treasure Chickens can’t swim, so I’ll pick a larger island to raise them.’

Besides Snow Ducks, Moira Lynch also bought many other breeds of ducks from the System Mall.

’I wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t looked, but one search left me dumbfounded. Has the interstellar era really become this indulgent?’

Even the ducks bred specifically for meat were divided into several types: specialized for duck legs, duck wings, duck necks, duck heads, duck skin, and so on.

The ducks Moira Lynch had brought back from the farm before were the ones specialized for breast meat and legs.

"No wonder the waste disposal plant was piled so high with stuff. It turns out they only wanted the bodies and legs."

Looking at so many duck breeds, Moira Lynch figured that since Cloudsea Planet was big enough, she might as well buy a few of each.

Even if she didn’t sell them, she could always keep them for herself.

’After all, they’re homegrown. I can eat them without worrying.’

Besides the meat ducks, there were also ducks bred specifically for laying eggs.

For instance, the Snow Ducks laid single-yolk eggs suitable for adults, but there were also double-yolk, triple-yolk, quintuple-yolk, and even deca-yolk duck eggs.

Looking at all these types of duck eggs, Moira Lynch had to admit she had never even seen a double-yolk duck egg before. She had seen a double-yolk chicken egg once, but only once.

Just as with the ducks, Moira Lynch bought a few of each breed. Not too many, just enough so they could hatch their own eggs once they grew up.

She had chickens and ducks, so how could she go without geese? She bought a ton of geese as well.

Originally, Moira Lynch had wanted to keep buying more, but she gave up when she saw that the robots on Cloudsea Planet were already running around nonstop.

’Oh well, I’ll take it slow.’

Then, Moira Lynch placed the dairy cows and milk-producing goats she was about to buy into her space.

Her space was currently being managed in a perfectly orderly fashion by the robots Moira Lynch had brought back from Tarmir.

The moment the few cows and goats appeared, they were immediately led away.

Even Moira Lynch had to marvel at how capable these robots were. ’It’s just a shame they consume so much power. I can’t afford to keep too many of them.’

The last batch of Elf Tree Houses had already sold out, and new ones had been planted.

The type of Elf Tree House with only one bedroom and one bathroom was selling exceptionally well. Because it was cheap, there was no difference from a regular Elf Tree House besides the smaller space.

As a result, it instantly became a bestseller in Moira Lynch’s shop, and many people were calling for her to offer more of these Elf Tree Houses.

To meet customer demand, Moira Lynch had specifically selected small-statured Elf Tree House seeds to plant.

’I just don’t know if it will be successful.’

After pulling her consciousness out of her space, Moira Lynch finally looked outside.

All over the courtyard and on the trunk of the Elf Tree House, many tiny mushrooms had sprouted.

Some were already the size of a thumb, while others were still as small as grains of rice. They were incredibly beautiful with their vibrant colors. At a glance, it looked as if they had been besieged by mushrooms.

If mushrooms with this kind of coloring were found in the wilds of Caelus, you probably wouldn’t even dare to touch them; you’d stay a good ten feet away just from seeing one.

Looking through the window, Moira Lynch happened to see a pair of light blue mushrooms growing right next to her window.

Noticing they had been spotted, the little mushrooms’ bodies swayed back and forth as if they were waving hello.

She had originally thought she would have to wait until tomorrow.

After speaking, Patience displayed photos of the harvestable mushrooms in front of her to prevent her from picking the wrong ones.

The Huhu Mushroom was among them.

Coming downstairs to the first floor, she found Shane Rhodes and the other two discussing whether to go out and shovel snow themselves today or hire someone else to do it.

It was clear the three of them didn’t want to go out. Shane Rhodes and Kai York still hadn’t finished their tasks, so they were leaning toward the latter option.

Hiring someone to shovel snow was very cheap; they could definitely afford it.

They could have also sent Zion out to shovel the snow, but that would require someone to stand watch outside. What if someone took the opportunity to steal Zion when no one was looking?
