Zero point one percent?

That’s a lot!

Remember, Cloudsea Planet is a whole planet, a massive one at that.

Going from zero to zero point one percent is already a huge improvement.

"I didn’t expect the Land Recovery Liquid to be this effective."

Doesn’t that mean it won’t be long before Cloudsea Planet becomes just like Planet Aelmar?

However, Patience quickly shattered her fantasy.

The reason it reached zero point one percent was because Moira Lynch had introduced a lot of living creatures.

That zero point one percent was mostly thanks to those creatures.

The Land Recovery Liquid might be helpful, but its effect wasn’t as significant as she had imagined.

After hearing Patience’s explanation, Moira Lynch’s excitement instantly cooled.

’Oh well,’ she thought. ’I’ll just keep collecting things.’

She had collected a lot of items over the past few days, with firewood being the most common.

Every few minutes, someone would contact Moira Lynch, wanting to trade their firewood.

Most of these people had foreign IPs.

The domestic bases had already issued warnings, so everyone was busy hoarding supplies to stay warm. Fewer people were making trades.

Moira Lynch didn’t accept offers from everyone.

After all, even if she wanted to take it all, she couldn’t possibly manage it.

Of the firewood she collected, she left some of it outside and stored the rest in her dimension.

If all the firewood were left outside, they probably wouldn’t even have a place to stand.

It wasn’t until the third day that the base gradually quieted down.

During this time, Moira Lynch had also gathered most of the supplies she needed.

The daytime of the third day passed quickly. Nothing happened, and there was certainly no insect plague outbreak.

Many people began to suspect the whole thing was a hoax.

In response, Hugh Finch remained firm. "I’m not wrong. Today isn’t over yet."

That evening, Moira Lynch, who was in her room, suddenly sensed something was wrong. Something was flying toward the base in enormous numbers.

Moira Lynch immediately realized it was the insects.

A massive swarm of insects was descending upon them.

Not just from one direction, but from all sides.

The insects moved like a well-trained army, completely surrounding the entire base.

At that moment, an emergency siren blared throughout the base, warning ordinary residents to hurry back to their homes and take shelter from the approaching swarm.

Simultaneously, a dozen or so fighter jets loaded with insecticide water took off.

Previously, because insecticide water was regularly sprayed in the base, insects were rarely seen.

Even if there were a few, they were just a handful and didn’t affect daily life.

But now, insects were constantly emerging from everywhere.

The ground, the floors, the walls, the roofs, the toilets...

Watching the overwhelming scene outside, Moira Lynch and the others couldn’t help but feel a lingering sense of fear.

"Thank goodness Moira soaked Petalwing Beetle gallbladders in water and sprinkled it all over the house, inside and out. She even sealed all the cracks. Otherwise, we’d be in serious trouble right now," Shane Rhodes said.

Kai York frowned. "Most of these insects are crawling out of the ground. Have they learned the Drilling Technique or something?"

"They’re probably from eggs laid a long time ago that are only hatching now," Moira Lynch offered, thinking of a more logical explanation.

"They could have also just appeared out of nowhere," Hugh Finch said. "Don’t forget, these insects appeared suddenly from the very beginning."

Whatever the case, it didn’t really matter now.

Moira Lynch looked at Hugh Finch and asked, "When will this insect plague likely end?"

Hugh Finch sighed. "A final frenzy before death. It will probably last until the next cataclysm arrives."

Hearing this, Moira Lynch watched the insects continuously ramming against the windows.

The windows were made of bulletproof glass and had been reinforced for insulation, so they wouldn’t break easily.

’Hugh just mentioned a final frenzy,’ she thought. ’That means these insects have a premonition that the next cataclysm is coming.’

’They’re about to face their own extinction, which is why they’re attacking human bases like they’ve gone mad.’

Just as Hugh Finch had said, the insect plague continued for several days with no sign of ending.

The sound of fighter jets constantly flying overhead never ceased.

A steady rain of insect corpses fell from the sky, piling up in a thick layer on the ground, but no one dared to go outside to clean them up.

Looking at the insect corpses, Moira Lynch secretly collected some to feed the chickens, ducks, and geese in her dimension.

The sky was a dark, oppressive mass—not because of bad weather, but because the dense swarm of insects was blocking out the sun.

Life for Moira Lynch and the others remained the same as before. Other than not being able to go outside, nothing else had changed.

On this day, Shane Rhodes was once again knocked out of the combat simulation.

Looking at the wounds on Shane Rhodes’s body, Moira Lynch gasped. "That looks serious. The person in the combat simulation seems to be hitting harder and harder. Even adjusting the difficulty doesn’t help. Do you think it might be broken?"

But the machine was probably long past its warranty period. Even if it was broken, they had no way to fix it.

Just then, Shane Rhodes got up from the floor, waving his hand. "No need. It’s not broken. I can feel that he’s not using his full strength. And while the injuries on my face look bad, they’re not deep. Just some superficial wounds."

Hearing this, Moira Lynch nodded, half-convinced. "Is that so."

"By the way, Moira, you haven’t entered the combat simulation in a long time, have you?" Shane Rhodes said suddenly.

Moira Lynch nodded, hugging herself with an innocent look on her face. "Seeing you guys get beaten up so badly every day scares me. Besides, I have Black Wolf. When it comes to combat, the three of you combined might not even be my match."

Now it was Shane Rhodes’s turn to be silent. While it was true, hearing her say it so bluntly was a little heartbreaking.

"Black Wolf is Black Wolf, and you are you. From now on, you must enter the combat simulation at least once every three days," Shane Rhodes commanded sternly.

’She used to be so diligent,’ he thought.

If Moira Lynch knew what he was complaining about, she would definitely cry foul. She was still very diligent, thank you very much.

She just hadn’t entered the combat simulation recently. She frequently used the other modes and hadn’t stopped her physical training either.

’Improving your strength doesn’t have to mean getting beat up, right?’

Under Shane Rhodes’s combination of threats and bribes, Moira Lynch finally entered the combat simulation.

The instant the simulation started, a fist came flying toward her.

’Holy crap! No honor!’

Moira Lynch was so startled that a curse slipped out.

Fortunately, she wasn’t one to fight with honor either.

You could use weapons in the combat simulation; it was just that the default setting was not to use them.

Moira Lynch used her Universal Gloves to conjure a baseball bat and swung it in a wide arc at the figure opposite her.
