The appearance of the Black Wolf instantly turned the tables.

The arrogant trio’s smiles froze on their faces as they met the Black Wolf’s golden eyes.

After a moment, the tattooed man said coldly, "You really think summoning one wolf is enough to beat us? There are three of us! You two, I’ll hold off the wolf. Go deal with the others."

The tattooed man’s expression was savage. As he spoke, two sharp canine teeth were faintly visible, making him look like a snarling beast with its jaws wide open, ready to devour them whole.

However, the moment he finished speaking, a gunshot rang out with a loud BANG.

The tattooed man, who had just been shouting defiantly, froze in place, his eyes wide with terror.

For a Talent with an awakened body-strengthening ability, ordinary bullets were useless.

And yet, a dark hole had now appeared in the tattooed man’s chest.

Hugh Finch had gotten the Gun of Destruction from Moira Lynch. Its ability was to completely annihilate anything it hit, making it disappear.

Before everyone’s horrified eyes, the wound on the tattooed man’s chest expanded until his entire body vanished completely.

The entire process took no more than a few seconds. A living person was just... gone.

Seeing this, a flash of surprise crossed Hugh Finch’s eyes. He hadn’t expected the Gun of Destruction to be this powerful.

Moira Lynch, however, was satisfied.

Seeing their leader gone, the other two men looked as if they’d lost their backbone. They couldn’t help but take a couple of steps back.

The two men stumbled back in fear, their eyes filled with horror as they stared at Moira Lynch and Hugh Finch.

The other players, who had been enjoying the show and gloating just moments before, now lowered their heads and quickly left the volatile area, afraid of getting caught in the crossfire.

Hugh Finch knew you had to cut the weeds at the root. He quickly aimed his gun at the bald man.

BANG!

The bald man saw it coming and dodged. At the same time, a layer of metal coated his body. The bullet grazed his arm, flying wide.

The bald man couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.

’Good, it only grazed my arm.’ He had seen exactly what happened to the tattooed man.

However, he didn’t get to feel relieved for long. His arm began to disappear before his very eyes.

Hugh Finch immediately fired a second shot.

At the same time, Moira Lynch gave the Black Wolf a command.

The Black Wolf’s massive form lunged at the last man.

The man’s body-strengthening Talent gave him defense far beyond that of a normal person, but it was no match for the Black Wolf’s bite.

In just a few minutes, Moira Lynch and Hugh Finch had decisively eliminated the trio with overwhelming power.

This also served as a warning to anyone else with funny ideas, letting them know that even though there were only two of them, they were not to be trifled with.

After returning to their tree-planting spot, the two resumed digging holes.

Seeing this, the Black Wolf extended its claws and started to help.

A hole that took Moira Lynch and Hugh Finch several minutes to dig was finished by the massive Black Wolf in just a couple of swipes.

Seeing this, Moira Lynch suddenly smacked her forehead, saying with annoyance, "How could I have forgotten!"

Hugh Finch watched her, an annoyed expression on her face as she smacked her head. "What is it?" he asked.

Moira Lynch looked up at him. "Just a second, don’t move. I’m calling out some helpers."

Thinking about Moira Lynch’s Talent, Hugh Finch wondered, ’Is she going to bring out those stray cats from before?’

’I guess that would work. Most of the soil here is sandy and pretty soft, after all.’

Meanwhile, Moira Lynch was communicating with Blackie, Shadow, a border collie, an Alaskan malamute, a husky, a Samoyed, and numerous other sled dogs inside her personal space.

All that time spent raising dogs was for a moment just like this.

Moira Lynch had fed and cared for them for so long; it was time they earned their keep.

And so, as Hugh Finch watched, Moira Lynch summoned over a dozen plump, healthy dogs.

He recognized Blackie and Shadow, but the rest of the dogs were all new to him.

He was about to say something when the lead border collie let out a sharp "WOOF!" At the command, all the dogs sprang into action, moving with well-trained, orderly precision.

Digging holes was as natural as eating or drinking for a dog; it was in their blood.

In an instant, the area around Moira Lynch and Hugh Finch was a storm of flying dust.

"What are you spacing out for? Plant the trees!"

Moira Lynch’s words snapped Hugh Finch back to reality.

With the Black Wolf and the dog pack helping, all they had to do now was place the saplings in the freshly dug holes, cover them with soil, and water them.

In no time at all, they had planted over a dozen saplings.

And with Moira Lynch there, the saplings were guaranteed the highest possible survival rate.

When the Sucking Mushroom ran out of water, Moira Lynch didn’t even move. She just sent the Black Wolf to get more, saving them even more time.

They worked until sunset, only stopping when the temperature suddenly plummeted, making it too cold to continue planting.

By then, the Black Wolf and the dog pack were also exhausted and panting.

Moira Lynch recalled the Black Wolf and the dog pack to her space to rest. She would need their help again tomorrow, after all.

Hugh Finch put on the heavy clothes he had prepared. Moira Lynch didn’t need them, but she pulled out a thick military greatcoat and put it on anyway.

The moment she put on the greatcoat, she felt an inexplicable sense of security.

Hugh Finch skillfully began setting up the tent while Moira Lynch started cooking dinner nearby.

She tossed a Black Fire Stone into the lit campfire.

The flames immediately roared to life, its light and heat chasing away the surrounding darkness and cold.

Moira Lynch took out a pan and made some egg-fried rice for herself and Hugh Finch.

The aroma drifted on the wind toward the other players.

Fortunately, everyone else was well-prepared and wasn’t easily lured over by the smell.

The two of them ate and reviewed their day’s work.

Even though they had wasted some time looking for the oasis, the results of their labor for the day were still astonishing.

"I did the math. We planted 782 trees today. We can finish the mission tomorrow."

Hearing Moira’s words, Hugh Finch nodded. "We should plant a few extra, just to be safe."

Moira Lynch was about to argue. ’This trial is only three days long, and I still want to see if there’s anything worth taking with me from this instance. I can’t afford to waste any time.’
