In that brief pause, the two Flower Sprites stirred and woke up.

Seeing this, Moira Lynch was about to offer a friendly greeting, but before she could say a word, the two newly awakened Flower Sprites saw that they were lying on the body of a giant and promptly fainted again.

’Am I that scary?’

Moira Lynch touched her face with her free hand.

Not to brag, but with a face like hers, she’d be a shoo-in for the lead spot if she ever auditioned for a pop group.

Seeing that the two Flower Sprites weren’t waking up anytime soon, Moira Lynch temporarily tucked them into her pocket.

Flower Sprites are communal by nature. Since the Black Wolf had found two, there were likely more of them in this forest.

Guided by the Black Wolf, Moira Lynch reached the spot where it had found the two Flower Sprites.

Just then, her Golden Celestial Eye spotted The Floral Sea in the distance.

Standing before the endless expanse of The Floral Sea, Moira Lynch spread out her spiritual power. Just as she’d expected, she detected numerous life forms within—a rough estimate placed their numbers at over ten thousand.

Moira Lynch took the two Flower Sprites out of her pocket and gently placed them on a nearby rock.

"I know you’re here. First, let me introduce myself. My name is Moira Lynch, and I am now the owner of this planet. I mean you no harm."

Moira Lynch softened her spiritual power, projecting a sense of goodwill toward the Flower Sprites hiding among the flowers. Simultaneously, her Calming Bell chimed with a pleasant, continuous melody.

About ten minutes later, a flower in The Floral Sea suddenly stirred. From it flew a Flower Sprite, less than thirty centimeters tall, wearing a Flower Crown and bearing two pairs of transparent wings on its back.

"Hello. I am the Pixie Chief. Owner of this planet, is there something you need from us?"

Moira Lynch looked at the Pixie Chief and fell into contemplation. ’What do I need? Actually, nothing in particular.’

However, her silence made the Pixie Chief uneasy.

The Flower Sprites were not native to this planet.

After being driven out by The Elven Race, they had wandered for many years before finding a planet this suitable for survival.

So Moira Lynch’s silence made it difficult for them not to assume the worst.

After all, the Flower Sprites were notoriously weak throughout the galaxy. Taking them in was like taking on a burden.

At this moment, Moira Lynch’s spiritual power stirred slightly. She looked up at The Floral Sea before her and saw that the flowers were withering at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Looking back at the Pixie Chief’s anxious face, Moira Lynch, though unsure of what was happening, offered some reassurance. "Don’t worry," she said, "I don’t mean you any harm."

"Really?" The Pixie Chief’s head snapped up. "Then you won’t drive us away, right?"

Moira Lynch blinked and chuckled lightly. "Why would I drive you away?"

"That’s wonderful!"

The Pixie Chief cheered, "You’re truly a good person."

Moira Lynch looked at the Pixie Chief’s happy face and thought, ’So naive. She believed me just like that.’

’If she ever ran into a bad person, she’d probably be the type to help them count the money after they sold her.’

’If I took these Flower Sprites to Caelus and sold them as pets, they’d probably be a massive hit.’

However, it was just a passing thought. Moira Lynch wasn’t that cruel.

"Um, how much do you know about this planet?" Moira Lynch asked.

The Planet Exploration Device still needed some time, but that didn’t stop her from trying to get some information from these Flower Sprites in advance.

After all, what’s written in a report can sometimes differ from a firsthand account.

Having received Moira Lynch’s promise, the Pixie Chief replied happily, "Of course! I will be sure to tell you everything I know, holding nothing back."

Just then, the two Flower Sprites who had fainted came to once again.

Seeing their familiar chief, the two Flower Sprites, like two frightened little beasts, hid trembling behind the Pixie Chief.

"Chief, we have to run! There’s a monster nearby."

"That’s right, that’s right! Chief, that monster is terrifying! It’s got a mouth full of fangs, and its eyes glow!"

Hearing the two Flower Sprites’ description, the Pixie Chief was also clearly startled and turned her head to look at Moira Lynch.

"Don’t be afraid. What they encountered was my pet. Its actions might have been a bit rough, but it’s not bad by nature."

’It just thought the two Flower Sprites were interesting and wanted to take them home as pets.’

Of course, Moira Lynch would never say this out loud.

Fortunately, when they got close to The Floral Sea, she had sent the Black Wolf elsewhere. Otherwise, this Pixie Chief probably wouldn’t have come out so easily.

Next, the Pixie Chief began to answer Moira Lynch’s earlier question.

"We arrived here a hundred years ago. Since then, we have lived a very peaceful life..."

Most elven races are quite warlike, but the Flower Sprites are a distinct exception. Not only do they dislike combat, they’re also utterly useless in a fight.

For these Flower Sprites, the past hundred years had been the life they had always dreamed of.

Their numbers grew from less than a thousand to over ten thousand in that time.

Through the Pixie Chief’s introduction, Moira Lynch gained a preliminary understanding of the planet.

"Um... you did say you wouldn’t drive us away, right?" the Pixie Chief said.

At this, other Flower Sprites poked their heads out from The Floral Sea, staring at Moira Lynch with wide, innocent eyes.

"Of course."

After all, the Flower Sprites were exceptionally good at tending to plants. Moira Lynch was already thinking of having them help maintain the planet’s ecological balance and prevent its environment from being destroyed by overdevelopment.

Upon hearing her definitive answer, the Flower Sprites erupted in cheers.

"Oh, right. In a while, I’ll be sending people here to begin development," Moira Lynch said.

"Will they drive us away?" a Flower Sprite asked, her expression worried.

Throughout the galaxy, the Flower Sprites had only ever been met with expulsion and contempt, treated with nothing but malice. So, it was only natural for them to have such fears.

"They won’t," Moira Lynch said decisively. "They are a group of very... lovely people. Why don’t you try to get along with them?"

...

She bid the Flower Sprites farewell.

「Ten hours later.」

Moira Lynch returned to the Planet Exploration Device and received the detailed data on the planet.

Moira Lynch looked at the thick stack of data, which reached up to her waist, and instantly lost all desire to read it. Better to hand it over to Patience.

「Ten minutes later.」

[Information has been fully entered. A planet data folder has been automatically generated. Would you like to name it?]

Seeing this, Moira Lynch finally remembered that she hadn’t named the planet yet.

After thinking for a few minutes, she decided. "Let’s call it Veridian Prime."

’There was no special meaning behind it. She just thought it sounded nice, and she couldn’t think of any other names anyway. So, that was that.’

Taking out the silver certificate, she deftly entered the name Veridian Prime.
