Another Stupid Isekai

Chapter 501 - Day MMXLIII, Part V

Martin went first again and positioned himself a little astride, leaning forward over the table. Then he took a deep breath, making his giant chest puff even more than it usually was, and blew with all his might, rising a cloud of flour. He quickly waved his hands to make it disappear, because even with all this power, the ball was still on the tray.

He started rapidly blowing, again and again, rising more flowers, that would stick to his makeup making his face look totally white. Eventually, he freed the ball and managed to send it flying straight to the net. Then he quickly grabbed it, put it back on the tray filled with flour, and kept blowing.

In the end, he scored three goals, and after he looked at the camera, his face was all white.

– I’m dizzy – he said all happy and went to sit under the wall, as his teammates kept cheering him on.

People laughed at him, and his teammates went on with their attempts scoring two more goals in total.

After that, another team went on. We had a lot of fun in this game, especially when as at some point one of the twins, Yang Young-soo, inhaled some of the flour, and started coughing, then he grabbed the ball from the tray, and threw it at the director. Rushed to him, and grabbed him by the collar.

He was pretending to be frustrated by the task in a bit aggressive way. Because nobody expected that it caused a lot of laughter.

In the end, Nobuo and I scored the most, five points for our team, but his teammates got one point more, so my team ended in the second position. Because of Yang Young-soo’s rage, he didn’t score any points and put his team into the last position. Sanders wasn’t happy about that, as he himself scored four points in the game, which was wasted.

Wild cats got third place as Alice got three points, and Jia managed to get two.

I felt a bit better after my singing humiliation since nobody seemed to care anymore. Although I still kept thinking about it and planning my revenge on Tihana.

– Congratulations for the winning teams – said the director. – Now please pick another mission.

He brought out the colorful cards with missions, and my fake daughter went to pick one up. She went for the plain white one, and then gave it to Yoo Dong-hyun, who red it out loud,

– Team badminton.

– In this game, you will all play the game together on a small court we prepared outside. We play to five points. The top three teams get stickers – explained the director.

The game was simple so there were no questions. We had to have a short break though, as people needed to get their makeup fixed since everybody was covered in flour.

We reunited outside, where they drew lines for the court with white spray paint, and put a net between them, on two metal stands. The squares were pretty small, which was making the game pretty hard to play, but that was the goal of it. To create funny situations as we each tried to score the win.

The show staff already made a tournament ladder, and my team so happened to be first against Nil’s. They gave us badminton rackets, and a single, white shuttlecock. I used this time to discreetly adjust my seal, to make sure it will be holding my powers tight, so I won’t end up injuring somebody.

Both teams positioned themselves on their respective sides. We went with a triangle formation, with me alone at the back. Champions copied us, although Sanders ended up at the front with Yang Young-soo.

The game started and we didn’t have to wait long for the first moment of comedy. I want a bit forward, to swing my racket at the shuttlecock, as it went high, past the initial line, but Yurin also attempted to get it, and she swung her racket. Since w both had tunnel-vision on the projectile, we didn’t pay attention to one another, and she smacked me right in the forehead.

– Aaah! – I immediately grabbed my head.

Normally I probably wouldn’t even feel it, but because of the seal, I was weaker. It still didn’t hurt bad, but I was just surprised by the whole thing and actually overreacted.

[0)ᴠʟ – O-o-o! – she dropped everything, and rushed to check if I’m ok – I’m sorry, I’m sorry!

This whole thing caused everybody to laugh, and we lost a point. After a moment of reassuring Yurin, that nothing actually happened, and I’m fine we finally resumed the game.

The next accident happened shortly after when Yang Young-soo smacked Nil over the head, as he tried to hit the shuttlecock. The new was apologizing for solid two minutes, and we finally could continue.

In the end, my team won, and we scored five points first, but I had to loosen my seal a bit to achieve that.

Hitting one another with rackets was a common thing. Only Martin and Nobuo’s team seemed to have no accidents, as the samurai was incredible ad dodging his own teammates, and precisely hitting the shuttlecock even in difficult situations.

Martin on the other hand was so tall, that he was actually the only one playing since even if he stood at the backline, he could easily intercept everything, so his games were the most boring ones.

Somehow my team, ‘Se chingu’, managed to get third place, and we were looking pretty good in the standings. When this part of the filming was finished the director called for a break, and we all went to Wuxia’s cafeteria to have some food.

I didn’t eat there for a while now. The whole place got renovated, but I actually wasn’t a fan of it. They out white plates on the floor and walls, so for some reason for me it looked like a freaking hospital or something.

We got our food and gathered around two tables to fill our bellies.
