734 T.D.o.N.B: Looking for Vato
I went ahead and opened the door for them, bullets went after me immediately, as they were ready to shoot, but I stopped them all with ‘Veil of mind’ skill, and then went on the offense. Using ‘Telekinesis’ I tore the guns out of their hands, breaking their fingers, and then threw the into the air, twisting their bodies like wet towels midair.
The bones were cracking left and right. Lifeless thugs slammed on the ground, as I slowly went down the stairs.
I had to block the escape routes for the rest, as they tried to leave. I utilized my psychic powers for that.
There were still four people in the building. Two barber,s and their two clients. I wasn’t sure if they were members of the gang, or just very unlucky, so I immediately froze them as I showed up. Since two clients had guns pointed toward me, I just shadow walked to them, snapped their necks, then stepped out of the building, and pushed the last thug into the void utilizing my amazing speed.
The two barbers, except the scissors, were unarmed, so I left them alive.
After that, I waited for Joseph, and my new guide, who eventually got out. Mister Wu had to take a moment to regulate his breathing, and puke on the sidewalk, as the view he had to ‘enjoy’ was too much for him.
The other guy didn’t seem to be that disturbed by the scene of carnage, but he was scared shitless.
– In the car – I instructed him. – And drop your gun.
He nodded, took out the gun, then gently placed it along the sidewalk. His next move was to go and open the door to the rear seat of the vehicle, but I stopped him by placing my hand on his shoulder.
– You sit at the front. Next to the driver – I informed him, which almost gave him a heart attack.
Meanwhile, Joseph somehow regained control over his body. I even opened the door for the poor man, which he used to get inside. I was the last one.
– This gentleman is going to tell you where to go, mister driver – I said to the chauffeur.
He briefly glanced at me looking in the rear mirror, then nodded.
We drove off, speeding like previously, according to the very nervous and often changing guidance of the former cartel member. He clearly had problems keeping up with the driver. A few streets further a police car appeared behind us, flashing the red and blue lights, with the siren turned on. I turned in my seat to have a look through the back window, and using ‘Telekinesis’ destroyed the engine, so they couldn’t follow.
I just broke some parts.
A few minutes later we entered a more industrial part of the city, with few factories. We drove past them, and finally stopped in front of a rather large warehouse.
– I-i-ist here – said the thug.
– Good. Stay here. Do not dare to leave the car. If you try to escape, I’ll find you anyway, so I recommend you won’t try. You, mister driver, are allowed to kick his ass if he tries – then I stepped out of the car.
– I-i’ll stay too – said Johnatan. – You don’t need me there anyway.
I nodded, before closing the door, then headed straight to the warehouse.
There was a dance on my way, and then the building itself. It had a parking lot on the side, with few trucks left there. By the pictures painted on them, I came to the conclusion it was some cold store building, mainly because of the different types of frozen food advertised on the sides of the trucks but also because of the snowflakes appearing here and there.
There were a few workers outside, and one noticed me, as I was getting closer to the building, so he went to me.
– Why are you? – he asked straight up. – What are you doing here?
– I’m looking for Vato – I told him.
– Turn around and leave – he said then.
I wasn’t sure if he was just a normal worker or part of the cartel, so I shadow walked behind him, and slapped him in the back of the head so hard, he fell on his face. Then I continued my march. I had to slap a few more, before entering the building next to something which looked like genuine cold storage.
They were adjacent and surrounded by the same dance, so I thought that was a more logical destination.
There was a sliding gate, half closed, so I used it to enter.
Inside I found a few more trucks parked on the left side. The light was coming through a set of windows placed rather high, on the same side. The glass in them was thick, so it was actually impossible to see what was on the other side.
It was quite a big hall. Cleaned up only halfway, where the trucks were being parked. The other half was taken by some old machines. Some rising, and others had just the paint slowly peeling off. I had no idea what those were being used for. I also noticed a few guys with machine guns hanging around.
They were close to the entrance to an inner building, which was the first one of three. Probably an office, with stairs next to it, leading above, where few more were being located. All looked renovated, pained with dull blue color.
– Hey! – one of them shouted to me, as he noticed me. – You can’t be here!
He warned me, but I didn’t really care about his words. The presence of riffles made me quite sure that I arrived at the right destination.
– I’m looking for Vato – I said in response.
Then he pointed his gun at me. What more would you ask for, as an excuse to use violence in my state of mind? He was basically asking me to use force. I feel very much excused for what happened next.
