669 Days UNKNOWN: The Clash Of Titans, part II
The smile got wiped out very quickly, though. She pushed with the wave of her psychic powers, making The Great One lose some of the ground. The sheer pressure of two will’s colliding created this wave, moving slightly back and forth, with the initiative on the Ixa’s side, which was destroying the outer shell of the planet in a more or less straight line.
I noticed that we were being pushed back, and decided to intervene before it would escalate out of hand. I slammed it with my own force, slightly from an angle, which made her attention switch to me once again. The effect was good, as her advance stopped, but she also attacked me with a concentrated beam of force.
It didn’t really look like anything, a sear pressure, making the air trapped in the turbulence move like crazy, which made the light create a shimmering effect. It was so powerful, that it looked like a single bright point.
I avoided it by shadow walking to the side, and then rushed forward. My ability to fly wasn’t strong enough for a charge, so instead of trying that, I made a path for myself with concentrated spots of void essence, which allowed me to run at full speed since they were able to endure my strength.
I breached a barrier of sound, accelerating further past that, which created this loud explosion, that shook the area, and then I smashed straight into the force wall of two wills combined. It slowed me down a lot, but I was able to penetrate it. The High Queen noticed the sudden attack, as her eyes were focused on me, and she responded by pushing me back with an even stronger shove.
I got yanked into space like a toy thrown by an angry child, but I actually was aiming at that.
So far our attacks were barely synchronized, and not at all aiming at what we were planning for, so I had to fix that. I had to make sure we were behaving according to the strategy. Otherwise, there was no possibility of winning.
The short exchange made me realize that she was toying with us. That was a precious moment, as she wouldn’t yet expect that we were capable of much more than we showed so far, so If we were to increase the pace, maybe we could catch her off-guard, and even end everything before it started.
My efforts got recognized by Druoag, who went straight after me, forcing Ixa to switch her attention to him.
I didn’t even see it, but I heard two explosions. One, I assume, when he rushed forward, and the second one, when he clashed with the wall of force, pierced through and punched her from afar. Yes, afar, because the power behind his fist, was enough to project itself and even reach her.
She blocked it, but the air tore her dark dress in a few places, making her furious. Her response came very quickly. The alien got pushed back, and a pillar of pure will pressured him down, through the outer shell of the planet, just like it was done to me before.
It was a chance, but also a complication. I didn’t have the room to be picky, though. I brought my hands to the ground, after landing safely, and unleashed my magic by creating a volcano. The effect wasn’t immediate and clear enough for The Great One to jump to action. He attempted to push the High Queen back with his powers, as the ground shook underneath us, moved by my magic.
At that moment, I moved to reach Druoag in his hole, so I could bring him back to the surface. He was deep. Fortunately, I was very fast.
I grabbed him, and brought him back to the surface, when the land under the levitating, slim body of Ixa, splitter in half, exposing the bright orange lava, which came shooting straight at her.
It was too bright to be observed, and I also didn’t have the time for that. I needed to reposition, so I focused solely on that, while The High Queen got completely consumed by the fluids from the core of the planet.
The pressure she was producing, didn’t vanish though, but The Great One in his assault was making some ground, pushing the bitch back, seizing the moment I made for him by my attack.
Then Druoag came into the picture once again. I heard the familiar noize of him blasting himself forward with a charge. He pierced through the product of two wills colliding, and reached the geyser of lava in an instant, not allowing the High Queen to breathe. He closed the distance to the point where she used to levitate in, and swung his both hands from above, as he vanished into the bright light.
The ground suddenly shook, and I observed the rapid response. The area around the very center of the volcano began breaking apart from the inside. The ground was being pushed away, and the Druoag emerged flying straight up, ejected by some incredible power.
There was no doubt about that. It was the response of the High Queen.
I had to get the hell out of there, and even The Great One followed, me as the whole area was being pushed away. I believe that the attack forced the entire planet to shake, as the large amounts of the outer shell were being torn apart under the pressure of her will.
my volcano got completely destroyed before it was even born properly. The leva was gone, like with a snap of fingers, and this massive avalanche of rocks, which chased the two of us, showed itself.
A massive sphere of shimmering psychic powers was created, and we heard the scream of a furious entity in our minds, as the bitch unleashed her real strength. The time when she was toying with us has ended. The real fight has begun.
I knew it immediately when I saw Druoag flying straight up, and I could only hope that he was able to stop himself, before being ejected into space.
