"Hey, boss lady!" Ken called out loudly. He walked right up behind Naomi. He put on a highly exaggerated, totally terrified face. "The big guys look very scary! They are hitting the shiny wall too hard! It is hurting my ears! Tell them to stop!"

Naomi did not turn around. She kept her eyes locked on Gideon. She smiled a fond, warm smile anyway. "I am going to tell them to stop very shortly, Ken. Just stay back."

Ken did not stay back. He stepped slightly to the left. He hid his right hand perfectly behind Naomi's back. Nobody could see his fingers.

He pointed his index finger directly through the golden shield. He aimed at a massive aquatic golem standing right behind Gideon. He squinted his left eye. He stuck his tongue out of the corner of his mouth.

"Pew," Ken whispered very softly. The word made absolutely zero sound.

He fired a tiny, completely invisible cyan mana bullet. The reality-bending magic zipped across the narrow chamber. It bypassed the golden shield flawlessly. It tapped the massive golem right on the knee.

The magic activated instantly. The golem did not explode. It did not take damage. It simply teleported exactly three feet forward.

Because the golem shifted forward, it bypassed Gideon's rear guard entirely. The giant stone monster appeared directly behind the aggressive vanguard leader. The golem swung its rusted trident.

Gideon was totally focused on punching Sayma's shield. He did not see the teleporting monster. The massive trident slammed brutally into the back of Gideon's knees.

"Gah!" Gideon yelled in pure shock.

His legs buckled instantly. He lost his balance completely. He stumbled forward. His massive metal gauntlet missed the golden barrier entirely. He fell face-first onto the wet marble floor. He crashed with a loud, embarrassing thud.

"Whoops!" Ken cheered lazily from the back. He pointed a finger at the fallen warrior. "Look out below! The big guy forgot how to walk! That is a massive safety hazard! He needs to tie his shoes better!"

Naomi burst into a bright, musical laugh. The sheer absurdity of the situation completely broke her tension. She loved Ken's silly commentary.

The 4th Unit panicked. Their leader was on the floor. The golems continued to swarm them. The flawless assault on the 13th Unit collapsed completely. The rival servants had to turn around. They had to defend themselves from the relentless stone monsters.

"Get these rocks off me!" Gideon roared angrily. He struggled to stand up. A golem pinned his leg with a trident.

Princess Iris smiled a serene, beautiful smile. She saw the perfect opening.

"They are distracted!" Princess Iris commanded smoothly. "Push forward! Clear the path to the exit archway! We must escape the chamber!"

Sayma dropped the golden shield. The light vanished.

Laxmi dashed forward. Bright orange flames roared around her. She threw a massive fireball at a golem blocking the exit. The steam exploded into the air. Zinia stomped her boots. She raised a stone pillar. She knocked a rival servant out of the way. Ira swung her water whips. She cleared the remaining debris. Luna zapped a golem with yellow lightning.

The 13th Unit moved like a flawless, perfectly oiled machine. They carved a clean path through the chaotic three-way brawl. They completely bypassed the struggling 4th Unit. They headed straight for the large stone archway.

Naomi grabbed Ken's sleeve. She playfully pulled him along.

"Come on, slacker!" Naomi laughed warmly. Her green eyes shined with victory. "We have the prize! Let us go home!"

"I am moving as fast as I can!" Ken complained lazily. He dragged his shoes on the floor. Scuff. Scuff. Scuff. "Running is absolutely terrible for my joints! I demand a very large slice of chocolate cake when we reach the surface!"

"You will get your cake!" Naomi promised happily.

The underwater cavern was a total disaster zone. The sound of clashing metal echoed across the wet stone walls. The massive chamber was completely filled with violence. Three different groups fought fiercely in the large space. It was absolute, unfiltered chaos.

The 13th Unit stood in a tight defensive circle. They protected the glowing Core of Luminus. Princess Iris held the leather pouch securely at her side. She held her silver rapier in her right hand. Her violet eyes scanned the room. She watched the massive brawl unfold.

The 4th Unit fought like wild, angry beasts. Prince Ares did not join this mission. He sent his elite vanguard instead. A massive man named Gideon led the rival team. Gideon had spiky blonde hair. He wore thick metal gauntlets. He punched everything in his path. His men swung huge broadswords. They carried giant axes. They did not care about strategy. They only cared about destruction.

The third group in the room consisted of ancient aquatic golems. The golems were made of dark blue stone. Wet seaweed draped over their broad shoulders. Colorful coral grew on their chests. They had glowing red eyes. They carried rusted metal tridents. They wanted to crush all the intruders. They attacked the 13th Unit. They attacked the 4th Unit. They did not pick sides.

Sayma stood in the center of her team. The intelligent Vice-Captain pushed her thick glasses up the bridge of her nose. She thrust her hands forward. A brilliant, glowing golden honeycomb barrier snapped into place. The solid light formed a protective dome around her friends.

A giant aquatic golem slammed its rusty trident against the golden shield. The impact made a loud, ringing sound. Sayma gritted her teeth. She planted her boots firmly on the smooth marble floor. The shield did not crack. She maintained a perfect defense.

"Their physical strength is immense!" Sayma called out politely. "We must conserve our mana! Do not attack blindly! Wait for them to fight each other!"

Laxmi bounced on her toes. The fire user wore a bright orange dress. She punched her open palm. Bright orange flames roared to life around her fingers. She grinned a wild, excited grin. She absolutely hated waiting.

"I cannot just stand here!" Laxmi complained loudly. "I want to roast those guys! They are swinging their swords too close to us!"

Zinia stomped her boot onto the wet floorboards. The strong earth mage crossed her muscular arms. "Your fire is useless down here, Laxmi. The ambient moisture is too high. You will just make a lot of warm steam. Let me handle the defense."

Zinia slammed her hands onto the ground. Solid slabs of gray rock ripped out of the floor. The rocks formed a thick barricade right behind Sayma's golden shield. The barricade added another layer of supreme protection.

Ira stood perfectly still near the rock wall. Her pale face showed zero emotion. She raised her hands. Two long, high-pressure water whips formed instantly. The water cracked like real leather. She lashed out with flawless precision. She wrapped a whip around a golem's leg. She pulled backward. The giant stone monster flipped completely upside down. It crashed onto the floor.
