"Risa is experiencing a massive emotional overload," Sayma explained rapidly. She clicked her pen. She wrote a fast calculation in her notebook. "Her magic is feeding on her panic. The plants are becoming highly toxic. If we do not stabilize her mana within the next few minutes, the toxic pollen will flood the entire building. It is a severe biological hazard."

Zinia stomped into the room. The strong earth mage cracked her knuckles. She looked at the giant roots tearing through the floor.

"I will block the pollen," Zinia announced. She slammed her boots onto the floorboards. "Stone Dome!"

Solid gray rock ripped out of the ground. The rocks formed a thick wall around the yellow flowers. But the roots were incredibly strong. The green vines wrapped around the stone walls. The vines squeezed tightly. The solid rocks cracked and shattered into tiny pieces of gravel.

"My earth magic cannot hold them!" Zinia grunted. She shielded her face from the flying dust. "The plant magic is entirely too aggressive!"

Luna lay on the living room sofa. The lightning user was fast asleep. A giant green root suddenly wrapped around the legs of the sofa. The root lifted the entire sofa high into the air.

Luna slowly opened her sleepy eyes. She rubbed her face. She looked down. The floor was ten feet below her.

"This is very confusing," Luna mumbled lazily. She let out a loud yawn. "Why is the couch floating? Did we buy a flying couch? I do not like heights. They make me dizzy. Please put me down."

Ira stood perfectly still near the doorway. Her pale face showed zero emotion. "Statistically speaking, the structural integrity of this room is decreasing rapidly. The vines will crush the support beams in approximately four minutes."

Ken Eliot remained on the floor. He sat cross-legged. He looked at the wild jungle growing around him. He slouched his shoulders. He let out a loud, dramatic sigh.

"This is a massive tragedy," Ken complained. He pointed a lazy finger at a giant leaf. "I was having a very nice morning. Now I am trapped in a greenhouse. I absolutely hate gardening. It requires way too much manual labor. I demand a completely clean living room."

Sayma turned to Ken. Her dark eyes looked incredibly stressed. She needed to build a complex magical barrier to trap the toxic pollen. But she could not do it alone. She needed logistical support.

"Ken, I need your help right now," Sayma stated firmly. She pushed her glasses up again. "I must establish a stabilizing barrier around Risa. I need to draw a specific geometric runic circle. I cannot reach the storage room. The vines are blocking the hallway."

"You want me to go to the storage room?" Ken whined. He threw his head back. "That is all the way down the hall. That is a massive amount of walking. My legs are officially on strike. I need a nap."

"Please, Ken," Sayma requested politely. "I need four raw mana crystals. They are in the blue box on the bottom shelf. We have to contain this ecological threat."

Naomi smiled warmly at him. "Come on, slacker. We need your help. Go get the shiny rocks for Sayma. I will buy you a large sandwich later."

Ken’s dark eyes lit up. He smiled a goofy, lazy grin.

"You promised me a sandwich," Ken declared proudly. He stood up slowly. He dusted off his navy blue suit pants. His white shirt hung completely untucked. "I will do this massive chore for a sandwich. But I want extra cheese. Extra cheese is non-negotiable."

Ken turned around. He walked toward the hallway.

The hallway was filled with thick, twisting green vines. Sharp thorns stuck out from the branches. It looked like a very dangerous obstacle course.

Ken did not look scared. He shoved his hands deep into his pockets. He shuffled his cheap shoes on the floor. Scuff. Scuff. Scuff.

He casually dodged the swinging vines. He tilted his head two inches to the left. A sharp vine missed his ear. He took a slow step to the right. A massive root crashed into the wall beside him. He moved exactly like a clumsy cartoon character slipping on a banana peel. He did not use any flashy moves. He just wandered through the dangerous jungle with sheer, unbothered laziness.

"This is exactly like that famous ninja anime," Ken mumbled to himself. He popped a piece of strawberry candy into his mouth. "The bad guy uses a massive Wood Release jutsu. He covers the entire map in trees. It is a very overpowered technique. I should tell Risa to yell a cool attack name next time. It adds a lot of style points."

He reached the storage room. He opened the door. He found the blue box on the bottom shelf. He grabbed four glowing magical crystals. He tucked them under his arm.

He walked back down the hallway. He casually ducked under a giant yellow flower. He strolled back into the living room.

"I have retrieved the shiny rocks," Ken announced cheerfully. He handed the crystals to Sayma. "I expect my sandwich to be delivered promptly. I burned at least ten calories doing that walk."

Sayma took the crystals. "Thank you, Ken. Your assistance is highly appreciated."

Sayma worked with brilliant speed. She placed the four crystals on the floor. She arranged them in a perfect square around Risa. Sayma pushed her glasses up. She thrust her hands forward.

"Absolute Hexagon!" Sayma commanded smoothly.

A bright, glowing golden honeycomb barrier snapped into place. It formed a solid dome of light. The barrier completely enclosed Risa and the wild, toxic flowers. The yellow pollen bounced harmlessly against the golden shield. The rest of the living room was finally safe from the biological hazard.

Laxmi cheered loudly. She pumped her fist in the air. "Great job, Sayma! The pollen is totally trapped!"

Zinia sighed in relief. She lowered her strong arms. "The room is secure. But Risa is still panicking inside the dome. The vines will keep growing until she calms down."

Sayma frowned deeply. She maintained her focus on the golden barrier. Her arms shook slightly from the magical pressure. "Zinia is correct. My barrier stops the poison. But it does not cure her emotional state. We cannot reach her. If she continues to panic, the internal pressure will shatter my shield."

Naomi walked up to the golden dome. She placed her hands on the solid light. She looked inside. Risa was curled into a tiny ball on the floor. She hugged her teddy bear. She cried loudly. She looked completely overwhelmed by her own magic.

"Risa!" Naomi called out gently. "We are right here! You are perfectly safe! Just listen to my voice!"

Risa shook her head. She squeezed her green eyes shut. She could not hear Naomi over the sound of the rustling vines. The panic was too intense.
