Ancient Woman Transmigrates to the Body of a Modern Man
Chapter 5: My dear, Lord Husband
Never in Madam Lin’s imagination did she ever imagine that she would have to pull down her pants one day and touch an unspeakable part in order to relieve herself.
Madam Lin was in despair. She felt the strong physiological urge in her body, but she herself did not have the courage to touch that unspeakable part. But she really needed to relieve herself. If she did not, she could not hold it any longer, and she would make an even bigger embarrassment of herself. Perhaps she might even die of humiliation if that ever happened.
Taking a deep breath, Madam Lin finally closed her eyes, pulled down her pants, and tremblingly held out her hands—
Moments later, Madam Lin shakily opened the door of the cubicle and staggered towards the sink. Then, she began crazily washing her hands, all the while with tears falling down her face.
Finally unable to take it anymore, she began sobbing again, covering her face. Then, as if remembering just what she had touched, she screamed, thinking about it again, and began washing her hands and face again.
The nurse had waited for a long time outside. Hearing the strange noises inside the restroom, she finally entered.
"Why is it taking so long? Are you feeling okay? What is going on? Why are you crying?"
Madam Lin straightened herself up the moment she heard the nurse enter the restroom and tried to compose herself. As the number one beauty of the capital, known for her virtue of graceful demeanor and proper conduct, she naturally had to present herself in the best possible way in public and maintain a dignified appearance, even if her body was now that of a male. This was her very essence and would never change.
The boy smiled gracefully at the nurse. If one ignored his red-rimmed eyes that were filled with tears, it was actually quite a picturesque scene of a gentleman. Of course, this was disregarding the fact that they were both inside the men’s restroom.
The boy shook his head at the nurse and said, "Thank you for waiting for me. Would you help me back to my room? I am quite famished and would like to eat."
The nurse naturally nodded energetically and, just like earlier, reached out and assisted the boy back to his room.
As they walked back through the hallway, the people passing by could not help but look back at the delicate and pitiful boy being held by the nurse.
"What a beautiful young man."
He looked like am elegant and rich young master, so out of place in the rural atmosphere of this hospital.
....
Inside the public security office of the small town, a group of police officers were chatting around during their lunch break.
"That man sitting outside the director’s office is definitely suspicious, I’m telling you."
"You don’t need to say that for us to know . Just look at that face. Can you see that shadow over there under the shirt around his arms? That’s definitely a tattoo."
"Stop, stop it! How can you say that that man is a bad person? Why would he have come here voluntarily if he is? Don’t forget, he and his friends saved that victim from the hands of the human traffickers in the mountains." Another officer stopped his colleagues in displeasure.
"Come on, look at that man. How does he look like a good person? His eyes were clearly those of a person who had seen blood."
"Keep quiet. The director’s out."
The director of the public security office invited the tall man waiting outside into his office.
Inside the office.
The director asked, "Are you sure that boy is that missing rich kid from the news? You’re not mistaken?"
"I am definitely certain. That boy is our boss’s family member. When he heard that his nephew had gone missing, he sent us out to search for his traces. We found a trail and followed it to the mountains, looking like they planned to enter the Tibetan mountain range. After chasing them for a while, we were finally able to rescue the boy."
"But I recall that the missing person had been in a coma when he was kidnapped. How could someone who was in a coma last that long deep into the mountains? Wouldn’t he have been discarded halfway?"
"There’s some things that you really should not ask, Director." The man said, "You can say that it is a family issue."
The director finally quieted down.
Just as he was hesitating, the phone on the table rang.
They both looked at the phone, and the tall man spread out his hand to indicate that he could answer it.
The director nodded and picked it up.
Hearing the words of the person on the other side, the director’s frown finally relaxed.
He said, "All right, understood."
Before ending the call, he looked up at the tall man, who seemed to have expected that this would happen.
Helplessly, the director nodded at the man.
"Fine. The provincial office had already given me the heads-up. There was confirmation from that side, so I’ll believe you. If you need to transport the patient elsewhere, you can take care of it yourself. Just make sure to follow the proper legal routes."
The man nodded naturally.
...
The next day, at the small rural hospital entrance, a few black cars pulled up. The cars looked brand new and shiny, they were clearly expensive cars that no one in the rural town would own.
Just as the people were wondering which important person came, they saw several tall, strapping men step down from the cars, each of them wearing suits and sunglasses.
Everyone was alarmed and immediately backed off, wondering what kind of underworld forces had come to cause trouble at the hospital.
The hospital staff were alerted, and the security guards at the door shook their trembling bodies as they positioned themselves by the entrance.
"Stop! Do not enter! Why are you here? Why did you come here?"
The tall men paused and ignored the security guards as they arranged themselves around one of the men who had stepped down from the car.
The man possessed a tall and imposing body, and he clearly looked much younger than many of those men who now appeared to be his guards.
The security guards at the entrance did not know if these were thugs or simply the bodyguards of the man, but they still did not leave from blocking the door.
When the group reached the security guards by the entrance, they finally stopped.
The tall man took out a document and showed it to the trembling guards.
Soon, the red-faced guards allowed the men to enter the hospital, feeling ashamed of themselves. They seemed to have watched too much drama and assumed too much. Fortunately, these men did not take offense.
Madam Lin was quietly eating her lunch on her bed. Until now, she still could not get used to the identity of a man and still inevitably referred to herself in feminine terms.
She was absorbed in her own thoughts, unaware of a group of nurses quietly peeking through the door, watching her every movement.
The nurses sighed to themselves.
How could a boy look so perfect? It was even unfair to compare themselves to this boy. This boy would definitely win if there was a beauty pageant, even if all his rivals were women.
Look at that elegance, the silent movement of his delicate chin, the straight posture and graceful lines, the head that was slightly bowed but still did not form a double chin.
That swan-like neck, that fair skin, the light-colored hair and eyes.
When the sunlight passed through the curtains of the windows and landed on the boy on the bed, it seemed as if an angel had descended inside the room.
They were so absorbed in watching the boy secretly that they did not even notice the group of people who had appeared behind their backs.
"Cough, cough."
"Ahem, ahem."
"Quiet! Don’t be noisy! He might hear us."
"And who might hear you? I’d like to ask, young ladies."
The nurses stiffened after hearing the familiar voice. They straightened up and looked behind them in panic.
"Director! How did you come here?"
"Well, if I did not come here, how would I know that the nurses were so engrossed in things outside their duty?"
One of the nurses could not help but speak up.
"But, Director, it’s lunch break."
The director glared at the nurse, who happened to be a distant relative.
The nurses, feeling cowardly, finally retreated and ran off.
The boy inside the room seemed to have finally heard the commotion, stopped his actions, and looked up towards the door.
The director of the hospital entered, leading a small group into the room.
Madam Lin saw the man being led at the forefront, and her eyes widened. She gasped, covering her mouth unconsciously.
This man, this man...
Wasn’t this man her husband?
Madam Lin’s husband in her previous life, Lin Zhen, was a general renowned for his prowess in both martial arts and literature. He was the dream husband of countless women in the Song Dynasty, and Madam Lin’s father had gone to great lengths to secure the marriage for her.
Madam Lin herself had fallen in love at first sight with the dashing young man when she first peeked through the curtains of her carriage. Seeing the young man standing in the distance, although she could barely see his face, she knew that he was her future husband.
Her husband had fought in countless wars, which inevitably left some traces on his body. He did not live to an old age and left the world at the prime age of forty.
Fortunately, their son was also a capable person. He was trained strictly by her husband, so he was able to prop up and carry on the Lin family.
Hou Yizhen had just stepped into the room when he saw the boy sitting on the bed looking at him with wide eyes, as if recognizing a close family member.
The boy’s eyes reddened, his cheeks flushed red, and he covered his mouth with shaking hands.
However, the words that Hou Yizhen heard afterward—
"My dear, lord husband."
