Night Cell Tower

The massive wing-shaped creature was cooked. Its internals were fried. The wing-shaped creature then crashed onto the ground.

The Red Mark-level lightning power and the shock force power had killed the creature.

Thud!

The aftermath spread across the room. All I needed was one attack to end the life of the creature.

Once the creature was dead, I walked past it toward the other end of the room. There was a big back door over there. My gaze fell upon the locked door.

I waited for the next opponent to come out. I waited for some time, but no opponent appeared.

Creak!

So I turned the doorknob and entered the next room. My gaze took in the scene inside. There was an old man sitting cross-legged on the ground.

I saw him covered in silver energy. When I looked at the silver energy, I felt a slight stabbing sensation on my body. The next moment, I recognized it as the metal element.

"This guy is a metal element warrior. And an expert at it, too. He can already project his metal element power this far. Be careful with him," the ancient spirit warned.

Hearing that, I said, "It’s okay."

"And don’t try to fight using shock force alone," the ancient spirit added.

I remained silent.

The old man sensed my presence and opened his eyes. His gaze immediately caught the dense crimson aura radiating from my body.

The dense crimson was a reminder that the young warrior was actually a Red Mark Warrior. And a strong one at that.

His mouth curved into an arc.

Boom!

The next second, he stood up from the ground and swept his gaze across the room.

He then said, "It’s not every day you come across a young Red Mark Warrior. Hi, I’m Walter. I used to be one of the elders of the Silver Academy."

Hearing that, my heart stirred. The old man spoke in a pleasant voice, but I knew he was dangerous behind that smile.

I immediately began circulating the lightning force along with the shock force. The two types of power coursed through my body.

Earlier, I had intended to use only shock force. But the old man gave me a sense of danger; I could not afford to underestimate him.

In a flash, my entire body was enveloped in dark purple lightning with crimson borders. There were also flashes of white light from time to time.

"Oh?" The old man raised his eyebrows.

"I sense more than one element from you. No wonder you are a Red Mark Warrior at such a young age," the old man said.

Swoosh!

The next second, a sharp white light burst from his hand.

In a flash, the sharp white light appeared before my eyes.

My senses sharpened instantly. I tilted my head slightly, and the white light zipped past. A strand of my hair was severed on the spot.

A storm erupted in my heart.

"See? I told you. Not only is his element sharp, but it’s fast as well," the ancient spirit remarked.

I took in the words and tried to steady my heart.

"Ha... ha... ha..." The old man let out a chuckle.

He had tested the young man, who appeared terrified. Yet in his own heart, the old man was surprised as well. The reason he had pulled that little trick was that he, too, had felt danger radiating from the youth.

Observing the young man’s expression, he concluded he had worried over nothing. Next, he dashed toward him.

Swoosh!

He closed the distance in a couple of seconds, not taking the lightning covering the young man seriously.

Boom!

He thrust a punch forward. He didn’t use his metal element; it was a simple brute-force attack.

Seeing that the old man was genuinely underestimating me, my mouth curved into an arc.

Smash!

I didn’t hold back either. My right hand snapped out in response. In a flash, both attacks collided.

Boom!

Upon impact, a terrifying surge of power erupted and enveloped the old man’s right hand.

The old man’s eyes widened in shock and disbelief. As lightning power engulfed his right arm, he felt yet another horrifying energy crash into him.

Pfft!

His right hand was blasted into pieces then and there.

"Aaaahhh!"

The old man let out an agonizing scream.

Swoosh!

Seizing the opportunity, I appeared before him in a flash and struck. The punch landed a devastating blow squarely on his chest.

Boom!

The next second, the old man’s body was hurled through the air.

He was covered in web-like streaks of lightning and black smoke. In the blink of an eye, he crashed hard onto the floor.

The impact produced a heavy thud, sending shockwaves rippling outward. The old man was beaten within an inch of his life. His right hand was gone, and he had sustained severe trauma across his body.

The ancient spirit sighed in relief. It thought the old man was remarkably foolish, he had been formidable, but that power had bred fatal arrogance.

Swoosh!

I appeared before the old man to check his condition; there was still a sliver of vitality lingering in his body.

I raised my hand and channeled the shock force power once more.

Boom!

Shock force blasted from my palms and struck the old man’s body in the blink of an eye.

"Argh!"

The shock force tore into his injuries, worsening the damage.

The old man shrieked in agony. Ignoring his cries, I continued the assault. Blow after blow of shock force battered his broken form.

At the same time, I focused on the shock force rune within my mind, anticipating a breakthrough.

As time passed, the old man’s screams faded from my awareness. Before long, he fell completely silent.

Still, I continued bombarding him with shock force attacks.

The ancient spirit watched, dumbfounded. It realized the old man was already dead.

Yet Zack Lockwood was so fixated on advancing his shock force power that he had completely tuned out everything else around him.
