Chapter 175: Chapter 175: Domineering Rich Woman’s Forced Love

Hearing the Disdain Points arrive, Jiang Moli thought to herself, ’That’s more like it.’

Her man wasn’t just for any outsider to look at for free.

But then another thought struck her. Once she returned to her original world, who knew which woman would get lucky with this man? An inexplicable tightness formed in her chest.

While she was lost in thought, a shirtless Lu Cheng climbed out of the river and walked straight up to her.

"Don’t be angry. Here, you can have a feel."

When she didn’t say anything for a while, Lu Cheng thought she was still angry and coaxed her in a low voice.

He tensed his abs, making the muscles look even more defined and beautiful.

Then he took her hand and placed it on his abdomen.

The smooth, firm skin felt like a piece of fine, warm jade. A gentle press revealed it was full of elasticity and resilience.

"Cooled off a bit?"

Lu Cheng’s doting tone was laced with a hint of restraint and a slight gasp.

His stomach was a sensitive area. His wife’s soft, boneless hand touching him was practically tempting him to commit a crime.

Noticing the physical change in him, Jiang Moli reluctantly pulled her hand away.

She huffed lightly. "Put your shirt on."

"Okay."

Seeing him neatly pull on his shirt, Jiang Moli added, "And don’t you go taking your clothes off recklessly when we’re outside anymore."

"Okay," Lu Cheng agreed with a smile.

He was untamable and proud to his core, yet he delighted in listening to his wife and being managed by her.

The sun sank in the west, leaving only a dim, yellow afterglow in the sky.

Lu Cheng got the fire going. He glanced back and saw Jiang Moli busy stuffing fish into a bamboo tube. A ripple of tenderness spread through his eyes, which were illuminated by the firelight.

Tonight’s meal was excellent: two wild crucian carp, each two fingers wide; one tilapia the size of an adult’s palm; and a small bucket half-full of crayfish.

The wild crucian carp were gutted, stuffed with green onions and garlic, rubbed with salt, and drizzled with lard. No extra water was needed; they were simply placed in bamboo tubes to be steamed and roasted by the fire.

The crayfish and tilapia were simpler. They were skewered directly onto thin bamboo sticks for roasting.

They had to be brushed with oil while roasting to come out fragrant, crispy, and browned.

Before long, the crayfish meat curled up, turned a tender white, and started SIZZLING.

Sprinkled with fine salt, thirteen-spice powder, MSG, and chili powder, a tantalizing aroma instantly filled the air.

Jiang Moli tasted a piece first. The cooked crayfish meat was a bit on the tougher side, but it was very resilient and chewy, giving it a unique flavor.

"Feed me one."

Jiang Moli handed the whole skewer of roasted crayfish to him.

Lu Cheng didn’t take it, just opening his mouth. "You feed me."

Jiang Moli glanced at him, speared a piece of tail meat with a bamboo skewer, and fed it to him.

After eating it, Lu Cheng still seemed unsatisfied. "Delicious. Feed me another one."

Jiang Moli said, "Just take it and eat it yourself."

"I want you to feed me. It tastes better when you feed it to me. Ahhh."

The man’s playful and wheedling behavior made him seem like a completely different person from his usual calm and ascetic self.

No matter how strong a man is, there is a soft side to him that longs to be loved.

Like the soft belly of a tiger or lion, it is only revealed to those closest to them.

After they finished the crayfish, Jiang Moli used a bamboo leaf to brush oil onto the tilapia.

Lu Cheng tapped her arm. "Look, the stars are out."

Jiang Moli looked up. As the sky darkened, the twinkling stars began to appear.

One by one, they were as beautiful as diamonds embedded in a dark gray curtain.

Gazing at the stars, Jiang Moli spoke up. "Let me ask you a question."

"Go ahead."

Jiang Moli pointed to the brightest star. "Suppose I came from that star, and one day I have to go back. Would you be willing to go with me?"

"Of course, I would."

Seeing her surprise, Lu Cheng smiled and said, "As your husband, isn’t it perfectly natural for me to accompany my wife back to her family home? Does that even need to be asked?"

He paused, then added, "I wasn’t there for your last homecoming visit. I’ll make it up next time I’m on leave."

Jiang Moli nodded, but a thought was secretly forming in her mind.

’Why not just trick this man into coming back to my world with me?’

’He said it himself, that he’s willing to go back to my family home with me.’

’As for the fact that once he goes to this "family home," he can never come back... who cares? Once he’s on my turf, what choice would he have but to be with me?’

The thought that she could finally live out the "domineering rich woman forces a man to love her" fantasy was inexplicably exciting.

"System, System, can I bring people from here back to my world?"

『No.』 The System’s rejection was cold and merciless.

"Then can you send my family from my original world over here?"

『No.』

"You can’t do this, and you can’t do that. What good are you?"

System: 『Host, once you complete your mission, get the 100 million prize, and return to your original world, you can have as many men as you want. Why give up the entire forest for a single tree?』

"I just like this one."

System: 『Then you’re not going back to your original world?』

"I wouldn’t go that far."

After eating and drinking their fill, Lu Cheng fetched water to extinguish the fire, and he and Jiang Moli happily returned to the military base.

On the way, Jiang Moli brought up the topic of her departure. "I’ll be heading back after the Mid-Autumn Festival."

Lu Cheng: "Okay. If I have time then, I’ll take you to Kun City ahead of schedule. You can look around Kun City and stay the night before you leave."

Jiang Moli nodded.

Although the Mid-Autumn Festival was still half a month away, the melancholy of their impending separation silently spread between them.

They returned to the guesthouse, washed up briefly, and went to bed.

When they woke up the next day, the members of the Song and Dance Troupe had already left, and the guesthouse had returned to its usual tranquility.

Tang Xiaoyue and Fang Huixiang chattered away, gushing to Jiang Moli about the previous night’s performance and gossiping about Yang Lijiong.

Tang Xiaoyue: "Vice Commander Yang is beautiful, she’s a great dancer, and she has a high-ranking position. I just don’t know why she isn’t married yet. I hear she’s already 26."

In this era, it wasn’t just young women; even young men who were unmarried at 26 would be gossiped about.

Fang Huixiang: "Someone as outstanding as Vice Yang probably wants to find a partner who is just as outstanding."

"But men of a similar rank and age are basically all married. She can’t be looking for someone on their second marriage, can she?"

Jiang Moli said, "Well, she doesn’t have to find an older man. She could find someone younger. A handsome ’little brother’ in his early twenties would be a great catch."

Tang Xiaoyue said, "But wouldn’t people gossip about that?"

Jiang Moli: "Men can find young girls, so why can’t women find young ’brothers’?"

That seemed to make sense.

...

"Teacher Jiang? Teacher Jiang?"

Jiang Qing snapped back to her senses, meeting Feng Meihua’s displeased gaze.

Feng Meihua rapped on the table twice, hard. "Pay attention during the meeting!"

Jiang Qing pressed her lips together and said nothing.

Feng Meihua then said to her, "Teacher Jiang, tell us about the situation in your class."

Jiang Qing acknowledged her. "Most of the students in the class are doing quite well. They follow class rules and complete their homework on time. There are just a few who don’t listen, especially Han Zixuan. He not only leads others in bullying classmates but also frequently disrupts the class. I’m planning to make a home visit during the holiday."

All the teachers in the office turned in unison to look at Feng Meihua.

Han Zixuan was Feng Meihua’s son.

The things Jiang Qing described were indeed true.

However, Jiang Qing could have spoken to Feng Meihua privately. Calling Han Zixuan out like this in public was, to put it mildly, not giving Feng Meihua any face at all.

As the principal, if she couldn’t even manage her own child, how could she manage the entire school’s faculty and student body?

"That’s all for today’s meeting. Dismissed."

Everyone in the office could see that Feng Meihua had left in a fit of anger.

Jiang Qing didn’t care. In fact, she felt quite pleased.

Ever since she had made that public self-criticism, Feng Meihua had looked down on her, giving her the cold shoulder and dirty looks at every turn.

She wasn’t afraid of Feng Meihua making things difficult for her.

’The worst that can happen is I quit!’
