Chapter 400 – Wedding Day I
Chapter 400: Chapter 400 – Wedding Day I
Seraphine’s breath caught in her throat the second the limousine rolled to a smooth stop at the dock.
She had been to plenty of extravagant events before. She had walked into lavish ballrooms, stepped inside palaces, and visited estates that practically screamed wealth and power. But the sight in front of her right now left her completely speechless for a moment.
The marina was lined up with all these magnificent yachts of different sizes, each one looking like its own masterpiece, but only one yacht pulled every single eye straight toward it.
It towered proudly above all the others, like royalty standing tall among a bunch of nobles.
The sleek white yacht had been completely transformed into something that looked like it came straight out of a fairy tale. Cascading arrangements of ivory roses, blush peonies, orchids, and white hydrangeas draped elegantly all along the rails.
Crystal chandeliers hung underneath these carefully set-up canopies on the upper deck, catching the afternoon sunlight and scattering tiny little rainbows across the sparkling water.
Soft white fabrics fluttered lazily in the ocean breeze, while thousands of fresh flowers framed every single entrance and walkway. There was no mistaking what this was.
That yacht wasn’t just decorated for the occasion. It had been turned into a full-on floating wedding venue.
"Wow," Seraphine whispered, almost forgetting to breathe as she took it all in.
From inside the limousine, she watched the carefully orchestrated movements happening outside like some kind of perfectly planned show.
"I have never seen anything like this," Jasmine chimed in from right beside her, gawking at everything around them like she had just landed from another planet.
One after another, the vehicles behind theirs pulled up and came to a stop. Voren and Corvine’s cars separated from the rest, following a special reinforced route built just for them.
A strong platform extended out over part of the dock, letting them drive directly onto the lower level of the yacht.
As soon as they stepped out, attendants greeted them with respectful bows and then escorted them right to their designated positions on the main deck.
Moments later, another limousine arrived. The three motherly figures emerged gracefully one after the other, all dressed in elegant gowns that showed off years of wisdom and dignity.
Big smiles spread across their faces as they were welcomed aboard without any delay and personally escorted up to the upper deck where the family seating had been all set up and prepared.
Everything was happening with such precision that it barely even felt like it had been rehearsed. It was completely seamless, almost magical.
Seraphine stayed inside her own limousine, quietly observing everything from her spot.
No one came over to approach her vehicle just yet. Instead, three distinguished middle-aged men, Humphrey, Desmond, and Einstein, dressed in perfectly tailored cream suits walked toward her limo with calm, measured steps.
They stopped several feet away from the limousine. None of them reached for the door handle. They just stood there patiently with their hands clasped in front of them, waiting. Seraphine frowned a little. "What are they waiting for?"
Outside, the guests kept taking their seats. There weren’t a whole lot of people in attendance. Maybe ten, possibly twelve at most. Yet the yacht itself could easily hold over two hundred guests without it feeling crowded at all.
The intimacy of the whole ceremony somehow made it feel even more exclusive, like only the people who truly mattered most had been invited to witness this special day.
Her gaze drifted over toward the front of the deck. Voren had already taken his place underneath an elegant floral arch that overlooked the endless ocean stretching out forever.
The cream suit he was wearing fit him absolutely perfectly, really accentuating those broad shoulders and his strong, commanding presence. Even from a distance, she could tell his attention wasn’t on the guests at all. He kept glancing over toward her limousine, clearly waiting.
Beside him stood Corvine, looking just as composed in a matching cream suit that went perfectly with the wedding colors. Unlike Voren though, Corvine had this amused little smile on his face and was occasionally exchanging quiet remarks with the officiant.
Before Seraphine could even start wondering what was going to happen next, some movement outside caught her attention.
With remarkable precision, several attendants rolled a beautifully crafted bridge right toward her limousine. It locked securely into place, connecting the dock directly to the yacht’s entrance.
Soft gasps rose up from the guests.
The bridge itself was unlike anything Seraphine had ever seen before. Its entire length had been completely transformed into this stunning aisle.
White flooring stretched all the way from the limousine to the yacht’s entrance, disappearing under countless fresh flowers that had been arranged beautifully on either side.
Roses, orchids, lilies, and peonies overflowed from crystal stands, and their sweet fragrance got carried gently along by the sea breeze. Delicate ribbons danced softly between all the floral arrangements, while tiny glass lanterns reflected the sunlight like scattered diamonds all over the place.
It looked way less like a regular bridge and more like a magical pathway floating right above the ocean.
Humphrey finally stepped forward. With a respectful bow, he opened the rear door of another limousine that was parked nearby. Esperanza stepped out, and a collective murmur swept through all the guests.
She looked absolutely breathtaking. Her flowing ivory dress moved effortlessly with the wind, while the delicate crown of fresh flowers woven into her hair gave her this almost ethereal kind of beauty.
There wasn’t any jewelry competing for attention. She didn’t need any. Her gentle smile and radiant face were more than enough. Then she began walking slowly across the flower-covered bridge.
Every single step felt slow and deliberate, giving everyone plenty of time to admire the picture-perfect scene that was unfolding right in front of them.
The ocean sparkled beneath her, and the flowers swayed softly in the breeze. Once Esperanza finally reached the deck, Desmond opened the door on the other side of Seraphine’s limousine, and Jasmine stepped out.
The reaction from the guests was immediate. Several people blinked twice, and others just openly stared.
Her vibrant red hair framed her face beautifully, contrasting perfectly against the elegant gown she wore. She carried herself with this quiet confidence, and every step showed a woman who had fully embraced the person she had become.
Those who recognized her exchanged looks of disbelief at first, but then warm smiles slowly replaced the surprise on their faces. She looked happy, truly happy.
Einstein turned toward Seraphine’s limousine. For a brief moment, everything around them became completely quiet. Even the sound of the waves seemed far away. Her heartbeat echoed loudly in her own ears.
Then, the door beside her slowly opened. Sunlight poured into the limousine, wrapping around her like a warm, comforting embrace.
Humphrey and Desmond returned, each one offering a courteous bow before extending their hands toward her.
"Sera," Einstein said softly. "It is time." Seraphine placed her hands into theirs.
The instant she stepped out onto that flower-lined bridge, an almost reverent silence settled over the entire yacht. Every conversation stopped right away. Every pair of eyes found her, but she barely even noticed any of it.
Her attention had already drifted straight to the man waiting underneath the floral arch.
Voren.
The moment their eyes met, the whole world around her seemed to disappear. The waves, the guests, the music, everything faded into the background. For a heartbeat, it honestly felt like the ocean itself had paused just to witness this moment.
With the three middle-aged men walking her down the aisle, Seraphine walked forward, each step carrying her closer to the kind of life she had never imagined she would ever have.
It felt like she was stepping into a beautiful dream that someone had carefully crafted just for her. And for the first time in her life, magic didn’t seem impossible at all.
Then they handed her over to Voren with a slight bow and a serious warning.
"You should understand, Voren, that a woman with three fathers means we shall constantly be watching over her," Humphrey said in a serious tone. Desmond nodded in agreement. "It’s not as if we don’t trust you, but you have to make sure not to make us regret it."
Voren looked over at Einstein, expecting him to say something, and he did. "It’s a father’s joy to see his daughter so happy and knowing that happiness is because of you, I want it to last forever. Sera would always be my daughter..." He choked up on tears, earning a pat on the back from the others, but Voren and Seraphine only exchanged quick glances.
It was clear that the couple knew Seraphine was theirs, so why had they kept it a secret until now?
