Ledvira's Northern Wilds — Temporary Camp.
「 Early Morning, his 42nd day on Geas. 」
"You're up early," Vanessa said as she got dressed and joined him at the table where he was waiting for Valerie's magnificent cooking.
"I've been thinking about the girl," He said. Knowing Lisa was just itching to propose they kept her. As if she was a cute animal they found and not a human being. He did not even need to glance at her lightning to know.
"~Hey, we didn't ask her name," Neine said before cutely yawning while sitting in front of them.
"It was supposed to show up in the Sistema Reveladis…" Vanessa ran away to take refuge behind Lisa as soon as he began speaking "Seriously Nessa? I can't even use that shit. She's joking at this point, right?"
It was some kind of spell thingy. It was similar to their bind, where there was nothing but a disturbance in the world's aura or whatever it was called.
Lisa could also not teach him. Not only because it was a temple secret. But because it was not something that was taught. It was gained via a similar scroll to the one the Nerd used to fuck the language of Geas into his brain.
"Her lightning doesn't lie, love. She's creeped out." Lisa said. "And yes. It did reveal their names but… I was not paying attention to their names, only their titles. Because… this one did just that! Sistema Reve— Ah!- Shh! Fucking—crazy woman. Aiz! She bit me!"
Aizel chuckled at the welcome distraction.
"I can hear you awake in there. Just come out. The food will be ready shortly." He used (Doppelgänger) to untie the prisoner since she had a (Monitor), making it easier for him to cast at a distance.
The woman came out of her borrowed tent and walked to them.
"What is going to happen to her?" Aizel thought out loud.
"From what she has told us, there is not enough to execute her. But she has that title, and destroyed people's property, so… she will probably be auctioned off. We will get part of what they earn from her (Bind)." Lisa said.
Aizel swallowed hard. Not liking at all the sound of that. It was one thing to know this kind of thing happened in Geas. It was another to finally have to face it. "What are the customers that could buy her?"
"Only legal ones. Hard laborers like farmers and miners are the usual ones. However… she's quite pretty, so it is possible that a pleasure-house or slaver will buy her. Even a wealthy individual."
"How is that even legal? I thought most vows from the different Guilds and businesses made you swear to the same stuff."
"She will not be forced into it. She has a choice. She can say 'no' to certain clients, and only be offered to the other legal buyers. The last option is usually the mining families."
"She murdered someone, Aizel," Vanessa said as she clasped his shoulder. "And besides, anyone who buys her—no matter their business—could offer her to also do other stuff for serving them less time."
"…"
"To me that sounds like coercion." His aura sharpened. It reminded him of the time he blackmailed Deez Nerd to help him out. Everyone turned towards him with worried expressions.
"I was tricked!!" The woman yelled.
He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly to calm himself down.
"Sorry, girls. You. Sit down and eat." Aizel said to the woman who was just standing by the table, trying to become invisible by standing as still as she could.
'I did not care what they did to the Wolf-Born; just because she's pretty, I care about her treatment? She was a Hunter. And killed someone in cold blood, not self-defense, and that is taking into account how easy it is to get around it…'
"Aiz…" Lisa bit her lip.
Aizel ignored her and turned to the prisoner. "Speak, woman. How were you tricked? Don't bother lying."
She nodded. "My name is…" She trailed off. He wanted to say that they could easily pull that information out of her. But it was obvious at this point. So he let her gather the courage on her own.
"My name is Misty… V—Valentine."
It was a cool-sounding last name. It had a nice ring to it and even a close meaning to its translation in English. However, it must have meant something more in this place. Or belonged to some influential family, judging by how everyone but him was reacting; even Neine was gawking.
"Why is every—"
"Ha—Haha!…" Lisa began to laugh like the crazy woman she was. Cutting him off and making him seriously think there was something wrong with her in that moment. It was an evil laugh.
Aizel turned towards her with a questioning smile. "Care to explain to us the joke, Love?"
Lisa took a moment to calm down and clear her tears before answering. "She's a Valentine, Love. The Duchy to the west of the Horen Duchy."
"And… How's that funny?"
"It's not… It's just… I want you to bind her."
"I'm not marrying her."
"The original spell is for people who are atoning. She does not have human rights at the moment. That spell is meant for criminals who want to recover them through servitude."
"…"
"We can keep her as a maid. My father has taken in criminals like that before."
"From what you've told me about your father's 'maids,' they are not simple workers. They are his playthings."
Lisa said nothing and bit her lip once again. The woman. Misty. Shivered in her seat. It must be quite intimidating. He was an intimidating man. Besides, she had seen him take down her whole crew without much effort.
However, that would give her some peace of mind, right? If he was that strong, he did not even need the bind to force her to do whatever he wanted, given how her title allowed basically everyone to be their nastiest selves.
"Calm down… Misty. I won't force you to share my bed. I don't need that. I have three wives."
'And a cheetah in the queue, plus a blue-haired slut on the run, and a shorty sex friend… Am I a man-slut?'
She calmed down a little but was still on edge. She might not be shivering anymore, but her inner lightning did not lie.
"Sir… If I may." Misty spoke up. He nodded.
"If you… Bind me. My father is sure to come after you. He will offer you silver. And if you refuse any offer that he makes, you will become his enemy; he will hunt you down and try to take me away from you. Like…" She turned towards Lisa.
"Mistress Lisa," Lisa said proudly, even sticking up her chest a little.
"Like Mistress Lisa said. He's a duke. And my family achieved that status through wealth. Generations ago. They buy the strength they lack." Misty finished.
Aizel shrugged. "Unless he can buy an army of Oni or Adamant-rank hunters. He's welcome to try. The last time someone came after me for taking their daughter, I learned quite a lot, and even got off with a neat ring and some potions."
Misty just looked down while Lisa's smile grew. Valerie and Neine were gossiping with Vanessa on the other side of the table, updating them on that little encounter. Valerie had only been roughly told what transpired that day.
"What I'm more interested in is what you said before. Valentine. How were you tricked?"
Misty swallowed with an audible gulp that even humans would probably be able to hear.
"I… My dream was to become a huntress. However, my father was against it. I wanted to go and see the world. When I went against his orders and left home, he and the person who was to become my husband worked together.
– After finding the party I was with. They hired a person to play the role of a new member and my lover, but they betrayed her. They made me think she was a sub-human who was selling information about our movements to others like her. And I… I killed her."
Aizel glanced at the girls. Lisa nodded, and Valerie was still browsing her mind.
"I can't see exactly what happened, Aiz. But most of what she said was clear as she was saying it. It did look like a memory."
"Can you tell the difference? I've thought of a few ways to go around Lisa's truth sense. One of them could resemble memories." Aizel said. Not wanting to reveal too much in front of an alleged criminal who could still escape.
"I don't know just yet, Aiz." Valerie looked a little down.
"Don't worry, Val. That's useful enough." Aizel said with a smile. "Now. Lisa. How would we go about binding her, legally, that is. Can I just do the spell and call it a day?"
Lisa chuckled and got more excited by the second.
"I already told you. I'm not marrying her. She has a pretty neat set of skills. She could be useful in hunts. But just like Silvia or Blaze. Not as a fucking wife."
"Sure, love. We would need to go and register her at a temple. We would become her handlers. Normally that would not be so easy. But you are Platinum-rank. The same rank as the vast majority of Hunter Masters, so they might not even ask that many questions of you.
– We just tell them what happened and they update the records. They share those with the rest of the empire via hawks."
Aizel nodded. If he just left her to whatever faith the Temple had planned for her, it would slowly eat at his consciousness. And Lisa would not shut up about it for who knows how long.
"This is my offer. Become mine. Similar to a Vassal, a huntress maid, if you will. We will take you hunting with us. I will not let anyone mistreat you, at least for as long as you do not betray us. The moment you do. You die. If I found out that you were not tricked. You die. If you hurt my women. You die.
– However, if you prove yourself worthy. You will probably live that dream of becoming a huntress, and one day you might even have enough silver to buy your father's land. I can even make your fantasies come true. If that is what you want, of course. Don't worry, I will not force myself on you.
– That is not my thing. At all. People who have strength don't crave that kind of thing. We crave the opposite," Aizel glanced at the other's and they returned a sweet smile. With Neine looking away without reacting.
'I need to learn her ways… I know you saw me, cheetah.'
Misty looked down. Just staring at the plate of food in front of her.
"Or you can try your luck at the Temple or the Guild. You will be auctioned off. And even if the girls say that you will have some say in what happens to you. From the looks I saw back in the caravan, it would take a small miracle for you not to find an animal that buys you.
– Be it a wealthy farmer, a pleasure-house, the butcher's, and many more. Who knows, maybe you are lucky, and a prince will come by and take you away like in some fairy tale."
"What's a fairy tale, Aiz?" Vanessa asked.
He chuckled. The word translated. But from what he was 'remembering' about the word fairy, it was a human-kin similar to dragon or angel in here. "A book. Novel. Fantasy like the ones Lis used to read."
Lisa was over the moon, but she did not move or show any signs of her inner glee. Valerie was looking into the girl's mind and smiling like an idiot; just from that, he already knew the answer.
She stood up with her eyes fighting back tears. But she was strong, and her voice only showed resolve.
"I'm yours to command, My Lord."
"True," Lisa said.
"Good. Now sit down and eat."
She sat back down and began to eat in silence.
Aizel was also eating in silence. Just going around their issues about nobles—which had just grown because of his biases towards pretty women—while trying to ignore the new girl, he was not feeling good.
But a simple plan was in the works in his mind: to make money and stay away from them.
"What is the plan you are working on?" Valerie asked. To his surprise, Aizel was no longer bothered by her mind intrusion anymore, even finding it reassuring.
"Pastorvil is fucked. It's close to Kira. In need of meat for this winter. Close to the future dungeon and our hunting grounds by flight, and with nothing the nobles would want. Since that is why Redvelia is there in the first place. The bypass."
The girls paused. He did not need to say much, but he did not need to; it was simple, and their faces showed it. Slowly gaining the light of awareness. And a shared goal.
"So, after Pops, we head northwest to Pastorvil?" Vanessa asked.
"Yeah, we just need to have enough to camp comfortably for extended periods of time. Like the supplies for Silvia to study. Better tents for everyone…" He began speaking but got lost in thought.
"~In Dranelida we might find security measures for the camp. Like crystal repellents for monsters; they are very expensive, but will make our stay easier. If they don't sell them there, we might find them in the Duchy Capital," Neine said.
"What is the dungeon close to your father like, Lis?" Valerie asked.
"Is not close, Is quite far, but for us, it's close. It's a reptiloid. Mainly kobolds and other reptiles like raptors. It's not too rich because it's inside the empire, and it doesn't have many monsters to choose from, like the one that is about to hatch." Lisa said.
"…"
"What?" He asked as his wives were just staring at him.
"After last night. I would think we fucked the depression out of you…" Vanessa said
"I won't deny it was amazing… But I think you are confusing your night with mine."
"Huh?"
"He finally tamed the Kizukami." Lisa teased.
"Oh. That… Yeah, I… I'm not going to ask for the tail unless it's a special occasion… That was…"
"See! The word you are looking for is overwhelming."
"Yeah… It was like a never-ending orgasm. Just a stream of pleasure that kept rising… and rising… Is the first time I've actually had to use the safe-word for its intended use. I thought… I was going to die from pleasure—or explode—literally. Not the phrase. And this one was not even looking at me and just kept fucking you."
'If the resident masochist says that, it must be something else.'
"Huh… Now I want to try it without him holding back!" Valerie said.
"Lis! Change—"
"Just eat some orc meat and drink a lot of water. You've been warned." Lisa said with a shrug, cutting Vanessa off. Making her pout cutely.
"We're out of Orc meat," Valerie said in between bites.
"I will go hunt tomorrow. I want to keep close to our snails in case her group was not the only one attacking. Even if she says it was the only one. From what she's told us, there could be others she's not aware of."
Misty was trying to become invisible again. Just slowly eating. Her inner lightning was moving around as if she wanted to say something, but chose not to in the end.

「 Morning, his 42nd day on Geas. 」
The caravan began moving even before sunrise; from a distance the team saw that the damage was only material. Eight wagons were abandoned on the side of the dirt road that led to Ledvira.
He had scouted the surrounding region the previous night. But found no signs of future attacks. Misty also confirmed it. However, he was not about to begin trusting her blindly; that would take a lot of convincing. Through her actions. Even with Lisa's truth sense, he wanted to be careful.
"Alright, we will go register her in Ledvira. Find a new camping spot and keep an eye on the caravan. I saw no signs of any incoming attack, but in case there are, please do not get killed just to save some snails. I won't tell you not to go, but…"
"We'll be fine, love." Vanessa kissed him to reassure him.
"Neine is the only one I do not have a (Monitor) on, so keep her in your sights."
"~What's a (Monitor)? You mentioned it before, with the goblin that tried to attack us."
"A mark that only my kin can sense." He said. Not really wanting to explain how the weird passive skill worked. Is not like he understood it that well himself.
"~Why haven't you left one on me?"
"Because. From up close, I can almost see through it, the same way I can sense the lightning on the living. It would give you even less privacy than my senses already do."
"~Oh. Thanks!"
The girls gave her goodbyes with hugs and kisses. Neine looked like she wanted to join in but was too nervous to do it. The girls had tried their best to not tease her as he asked—at least outside of fucking like maniacs for her to hear—so he just waved at her.
Lisa was coming with him, and she wanted to carry Misty. She shivered and slowly shifted towards Aizel. It was an understandable reaction. Given how Lisa had almost killed her last night.
So he made her the same contraption that Neine rode to carry her. He was not about to offer her a princess carry. No matter how hard Lisa stared.
—
Ledvira — Northern Gate.
The flight to Ledvira did not take more than twenty minutes, even below his 'cruise' speed without pushing (Fire Howl), as they were already close to the town by flight.
They landed on the outskirts of the town. It looked the same as Grodvenira when he looked at it from the air, just like an overgrown Redvelia; most of the town was walled up, the same mud roads, wood constructions, with the richest parts using stone and cobbled roads.
"Halt! Identify yourself!" A Hunter guard with silver tags ordered with the same generic response all hunter-guards did.
"Hunter Aizel Kadashi, Low Platinum. She's my Vassal. We are here to visit the Temple."
The guard ignored Lisa and just took a look at his tags from up close, then his eyes fell on Misty.
'Huh… Not a cultist of goddess Lisa? That's a first.'
"Want to make some coin, Hunter?" The guard said as he looked at Misty tied behind them up and down with lust-filled eyes.
He probably thought that she was their bonded slave. From what Lisa said. There were some who chose to serve their sentences that way.
'And that is why he's not a cultist… Fucking medieval world.'
"Is there a reason we can't enter town, Silver? Because if you deny us entrance and we delay our return because of you. It will get ugly." Aizel growled. Unfortunately, he wasn't in the mood to explain that she wasn't that kind of slave.
In fact. Saying what she was could make things more difficult. Turning lust into murderous hate. Triggering his own rage.
"S—Sorry, Hunter Lord. You may come in."
He didn't say anything and just resumed walking with Lisa at his side and Misty following behind. The guard didn't even glance at Lisa even after that interaction, probably out of respect for his rank.
'Or fear. All the fucking same.'
They found the Temple really fast. Unlike the one on Redvelia, this was not built right next to the Guild; the Joint store was its own building separating the two larger ones in the fanciest side of town.
"Hello, Hunter Lord. What can the Temple of the Sun do for you this fine morning?" A priest who was as tall as he was and looked to be around fifty years old asked.
"The caravan heading for Ledvira from Redvelia was attacked last night. She was leading said attack. I'm here to claim her. I will provide all the information we extracted from her for you to do whatever the fuck you want with it; she will atone by binding herself to me."
"Oh, yes, yes. We got noticed and have been receiving letters since last night about it. The Hunter Guild has already dispatched aid for them."
'His fucking speech pattern is the same as the pervert…'
"We did not see any hunters leaving town in their direction. They are making haste. And will be here much faster than anticipated."
"Yes. If you can follow me to the main office, I can get your report, Hunter Lord…"
"Aizel."
The priest led them to the office after glancing at Lisa's Vassal tags. He walked behind the desk, pulled one of the expensive quills, a book, and the crystal that detects lies.
"Please, Hunter. Make your report."
Aizel told him everything that did not concern him or his team; he did not throw the leopard under the bus, and just narrated the attack as he saw it from the wagon's perspective. Then he told the Priest about the information Misty had provided them with.
"…And how did you get here so fast?" The priest asked.
"Irrelevant."
"Also true… She's lucky no one has accused her of the murder that changed her title, or the penalty could be death. We will ask the nearby towns and the city if they have bounties on her; you would be required to pay them in case they do. But that is just a formality. Our records are the same. And there is nothing on her."
'Probably her father pulling the strings,' Aizel thought.
"The only thing left. Is to do the spell. For that, the charge will be one Royal Coin, Hunter Lord."
Aizel looked at the man with skepticism and a raised brow. "That seems a little excessive, priest. I'm not buying her, just binding her."
"It's quite the complex spell, Hunter Lord."
"What if I just bind her and you check her stats after?"
"Then there would be no cost. The records would be updated with the new information as a simple attachment to the normal reports… But—"
"Can I borrow that quill and some paper? I know you can just call the ink back to it, so the term borrow does apply."
"Sure…" The priest handed him his book and the quill.
Aizel took it and began writing a modified spell for Misty to read. To charge a royal to utter some words, should be a crime.
"Misty, come forward." Aizel turned away from the priest.
She complied and walked towards him. "Yes, my lord," Misty said with a smile. As if she already knew that he could do the spell. She had seen him use weird magic before, so arriving at that conclusion would not be too hard, and she seemed like a smart girl, even if her old profession was anything but.
Lisa came to him with smiles and giggles. "I'm not binding her to all of us, you weirdo. I'm just doing the normal one with a few modifications."
She let out depressed sounds. Proving that she thought that he was about to turn her into an angel. He ignored the crazy angel, who had forgotten that this woman tried to burn an entire caravan and shot at him.
"I, Aizel Kadashi, offer you Misty Valentine, to make an unbreakable vow. To forfeit your titles in exchange for my (Bind), I offer you absolution from crime, in exchange for you to obey my every (Command). This servitude will last until I deem you redeemed, and release, said vow."
The priest wanted to jump in and say something, since that was still not the normal spell; he removed the last part where times and terms of slavery were specified.
He was asking her to become his servant until he felt like releasing her. It was not illegal, somehow, but also not the norm. Then there was the fact that he was giving her absolution from her crimes. As if he were a priest with the authority to do so. And he did not demand the vow, but offered it.
Misty did not care and just went with it, reading out loud the words without even giving it a second read. Either she was another slut in the making, or she did not give a fuck in the first place. All the same in Aizel's eyes.
"I, Misty Valentine, clear of mind and by my own will, make an unbreakable vow. To forfeit my titles in exchange for your (Bind), I accept absolution from crime, in exchange I will obey your every (Command). I will be your servant until you deem me redeemed, and release, said vow"
System:_〔 Misty Valentine »Bounded« 〕
There was something weird tugging at his (Command) skill. As if it wanted to do something. Not activate, but… Evolve? It lasted less than a second. Is just that his (Focus) activated on its own at its maximum intensity while pulling in the world's mana. The feeling passed. From the outside, it probably looked just like his aura always did.
'Randomly roaring,' as Lisa liked to say. It was usually the effect of his (Focus) or (Detect) activating. But just like he used 'thermal sight' in place of naming everyone's traits. It was easier to say it roared.
Aizel checked his system, and there was a new section at the bottom that read 'servants' with her name on it, just below the 'bounded souls.' He opened it to see that everything was in order.

"Valentine…" The priest whispered. "Hunter Lord… If I may."
"What is it, priest?"
"Her last name. I didn't know she was a Valentine. The Duke might come after you."
"Let him. Hopefully he sends some strong people I can turn into Soul Energy. Or leave behind some nice artifacts. I need a good spar."
"Understood, Hunter Lord."
They were not required to pay anything, as all the associated costs were attached to the binding spell. And the records were to be updated regularly via hawks. Her bind was an attachment. Nothing more. Normally there would be a judgment. But his rank carried weight from the look of things.
All it took was for the priest to look at his stats with Sistema Reveladis and confirm that he was not a criminal. It also helped that the priest could probably see that the list of his skills was longer than his dick. And wanted nothing more than to see him walk out.
Lisa was going to get her some proper hunting clothes that were not the disgusting rags she was wearing. She also needed a new wand; the nice ones were expensive, so that would have to wait a little. And she would have to use one of the normal ones sold in arcane stores.
Normally, he would not be arming an ex-criminal. However, Lisa was quite convincing. Saying that the words of the binding spell confirmed that Misty did not have evil intent against them, or it would not work.
He could also feel when she was about to cast. And kill her before she could. Not that he was planning to kill the new cute servant.
Aizel entered the Joint store to buy the signal scroll with the skill he wanted. And to distract himself while Lisa was on her shopping trip.
"Good day… Hunter. What can this humble servant of the Sun do for you?"
'I suppose this is the "training" Lis mentioned. Fucking same welcome as the pervert and what's his name on the temple.'
"Signal scroll that stays in the air for some time as it burns out."
"We have those in stock. What color do you prefer? They are all one silver."
"Any color."
'Do we even have one silver? We've been paying with Royal Coins. And eating what we Hunt…'
"Do you have change for a gold?"
"Yes, here. The scroll and four silver as change. Anything else?"
"No, that's it… Oh, wait, do you have the spear things with gold engravings, raw without wards or anything else? I can give you three plat for them."
"They are worth Five, Hunter."
"Oh well, then just the scroll. Have a good day." Aizel turned around to leave. He already knew that they could be sold for as low as two and a half plat, but Vanessa was not here to wiggle her ass, or Lisa to offer her feet to lick, in case this other priest was into that.
"Wait, Hunter. We can do three platinum, since they do not require additional work."
'Called it.'

Ledvira's Northern Wilds — New camp.
Thump!
Aizel landed after Lisa with a little more force than he was planning to. He was a little distracted.
"Fuck… Hello girls, this is quite close to the town; are they moving that fast?"
"Yeah, the snails are spooked," Valerie said, and he smiled because that is how he would have said it.
"Can you blame them? Fucking leaving one town to not deal with idiots, just for idiots to attack them, while the idiot you are paying to protect you does a weird dance. No offence, Misty."
"None taken, My Lord."
'That's… Kind of hot.'
"Neine, return Vanessa her spear. Here." Aizel pulled the new one and gave it to Neine.
"~Didn't you say you were going to buy better ones soon? I thought you were going to lend me one of the old ones when you did."
"Well, you thought wrong, silly cat."

Horen Duchy — Barren wilds.
「Sunset, the first third of autumn. 」
"I don't see how that's my problem."
Kramar sat on a fine leather couch overseeing the arid lands of the Horen Duchy. The hollowed monolith they were using as a base was so tall that he could almost see the forest leading to Dranelida from there.
"Sir. I don't know how much Misty knew—"
Kramar cut the slave off. "We both know why you are really worried. I ask you. If she did not accept my (Bind). What makes you think that Misty would ever choose you, in place of all this Tiger meat?"
He flexed his arm to make his point. "The sluts tell me that I'm more her type than you. She should have bent over when she had the chance. Now that Demon-Kin is probably stretching her as we speak."
Sophia was hearing them from the side and frowned. She ground her teeth and would probably snap any moment now.
"Sophia. The same goes for you. Strip and bend over if you want me to personally go and get her." Kramar smiled. He was not trying to be intimidating, but it was not easy to show glee when you had fangs the size of fingers. A lot of the Outcasts shivered at the sight, making his smile grow in delight.
She did not respond and looked at the floor with clenched fists.
"I will tell the leak to keep an eye out for Misty; I will send your party to get her the moment she tells us where she is… Now you see, my slaves, why I don't share the location of this place with just anyone? If Valentine's crew knew of it, we would be packing already."
Sophia relaxed her fists but not her frown. She turned towards him and nodded before going deeper into the monolith. Her party followed after her in a small procession that disappeared around the corner of the damp stone.
"Sir." However. This other one was not letting the subject rest. "Duklas's report says that the Hunter who took her possesses Mithril-rank strength, even if his tags were platinum."
Kramar chuckled. "If he's platinum, then he will probably sell Misty to her family. The Valentines are nothing for someone like Sophia. If he kept her, then I will go get her personally."
That made the man relax. They all knew a team of Adamant hunters would be needed to stop him; recovering Misty was only a matter of finding her. 'A non-issue.'
