Almighty Sweet Queen is Really Rich!
Chapter 1462: Living Like Weeds
Su Li turned her head and nodded to the bodyguards behind her, then followed Feng Ciye into the water bar.
They had just sat down when she heard Feng Ciye’s slightly suppressed cough. She hurriedly handed him some plain water and asked, "Fourth Young Master, what’s wrong?"
Feng Ciye coughed until his face turned red and waved her off, saying, "It’s nothing, just that I dislike winter. My body isn’t used to it, so I easily catch a cold and cough."
Feng Ciye’s health was always poor. She had heard that when he went to Japan on their behalf, he did so while ill and carrying medicine. Now, with the onset of winter, his health was even weaker.
Su Li suddenly thought of the King from that world. The King Uncle that Tuanzi mentioned was even weaker than Feng Ciye in this world...
"You don’t need to worry about me. I’m not that easily troubled." He smiled.
People whose lives are deemed insignificant are like weeds by the water’s edge; they don’t die easily. He had lived like those weeds since he was young.
Su Li felt uneasy in her heart and said, "After the Spring Festival, spring will come soon."
"Yes, after the Spring Festival, I want to stay a while at the Wanhua Manor in M Country." He replied.
Su Li and Feng Ciye found it difficult to engage in small talk like this, making her feel slightly uncomfortable. As she racked her brain for conversation topics, Feng Ciye suddenly spoke again:
"The reason I asked you to the water bar, besides having some tea, is about Feng Mo’s matter. My people have found some clues; more than twenty years ago, a noblewoman left a baby boy at the gate of the Ancheng Orphanage."
Su Li was shocked all over!
Finally, some clues were found?
She recalled that Mo Si Huang had mentioned before that he was an orphan from the Ancheng Orphanage.
Su Li trembled slightly, swallowed some saliva, and couldn’t help but say, "Is Feng Mo really Huaijin...and your brother?"
Then why did Feng Yi say she’d never heard of the name "Feng Mo"? This was the thing that perplexed Su Li the most.
At this moment, the black-suited bodyguard walked over with his phone, saying next to Su Li, "There’s a guest at the villa, Mr. Qi has already returned to the villa and asked us to escort Miss Su back."
The bodyguard paused, looking at Feng Ciye and said, "Mr. Qi heard Fourth Young Master is here too and invited Fourth Young Master as well."
Feng Ciye took a sip from his water cup, laughed lightly, and said, "Old Seven is being so strict? I’m just having tea and chatting with Su Li, is he planning to intervene?"
"Or is it that his people couldn’t gather any intel and he’s come looking for me?"
Though he joked like this, Feng Ciye settled the bill and returned to the Feng Family Villa with Su Li and the others.
On the way back, Su Li could hear Feng Ciye’s suppressed coughs.
"Fourth Young Master, should I have Xu Xing take a look at you?" Su Li couldn’t help but turn her head and say.
"Did it disturb you? But my illness doesn’t need it, and it’s not going to get better." He coughed until his lips turned pale and tried to pull the corners of his lips.
Seeing that Su Li seemed like she wanted to say more, he got out of the car first.
The Feng Family Villa indeed had guests; when Su Li and Feng Ciye reached the entrance, they saw the butler and a group of servants being driven out.
"Miss Su Li, you’re back? Mr. Qi is receiving guests inside alone now."
Su Li felt a bit surprised. Pushing the door open, she saw a charming middle-aged woman sitting on the sofa opposite Feng Huaijin. Though her appearance was exceptional, her clothes were not expensive and looked like knock-offs rather than designer wear.
Su Li was curious about who this middle-aged woman was, while next to her, Feng Ciye couldn’t help but shake his head and laugh, "Old Seven’s moves are always faster than mine."
